Graduation Layout

To enter my "Blogaversary Giveaway," please click here.

This is the first of two graduation layouts I created for pictures of my son who is graduating from the 8th grade this week.  I used the Happy Graduation Seasonal cartridge for all of the die cuts.
Although Happy Graduation was an easy cartridge to cut from and layer with, I'm not too pleased with the die cuts.  The owl eyes looked a little freaky so I ended up adding some black bling over them.
I had this scholastic themed paper which has lots of educational facts on it and it seemed to be perfect for a graduation layout.
This layout got lots of doodling and stitching with my white gel pen.  Since the colors were kept very simple to stay with the school colors, the layout seemed to need the extra touches of my white gel pen.
I also added some black bling to the graduation caps and then made some twine tassels from Holly Green Trendy Twine.  I love the look of the twine for the tassels, I think it adds such a fun element to the layout.
Some of the die cuts were popped up on foam for added dimension.
A couple of twine bows on the diplomas finished off the layout.

Graduation Card

To enter my "Blogaversary Giveaway," please click here.

My son is graduating from the 8th grade this week so I made a quick card for him.  The "graduation" title is the negative cut from a layout I created which I will be sharing later this week.  The title and the graduation cap both came from the Happy Graduation Seasonal cartridge.
I used foam dots to pop up the graduation cap for some dimension and added a bling to the center of the cap.  I created a tassel with Holly Green Trendy Twine and also added some twine at the top of the card.

Ride Layout

To enter my "Blogaversary Giveaway," please click here.

For this layout, I decided to pull out a couple of cartridges that I have had since last year.  I have never used Groovy Times before and frankly don't even know why I bought it since it took me a year to break it out of the blister pack.  The title and the motorcycle on the left page were both cut from Groovy Times.  The motorcycle on the right was cut from the Father's Day Seasonal cartridge.
All of the flags for the layout including the banner were cut by hand and embellished with a white gel pen. The entire layout has quite a bit of faux stitching with my white gel pen.
The photo mats were cut oversized in order to add some coordinating ribbon to the ends of the photo mats.
I added a couple of brads to the tires of one of the motorcycles to give the appearance of hardware.
I stamped the "Wild Thing" sentiment from the Scrappy Moms Crazy for You stamp set to one of the hand cut flags.  The flag was then added to the title of the layout as an accent.
Some metal embellishments with sentiments were also added to the other flag banners on the layout.
The tag was cut by hand and punched with the Fiskars Apron Lace border punch.  The journaling stamp for the tag is a Making Memories stamp.  The tag was finished off with some coordinating ribbon and a bow tied with some jute.

Beach Fun Layout

This fun beach theme layout was created with the Life Is A Beach cartridge.  This is such a fun cartridge with cuts that are simple to layer.  With the sand and water background on the paper this layout was super easy to put together.
The title and pelican come as a single cut on this cartridge so I just cut the individual letters for "Fun" to add it to my title.
I used the Distressed Stripes and Swiss Dots Cuttlebug embossing folders to add some extra details to my die cuts.
I also did some doodling with my white gel pen and popped up the coconuts on foam dots for dimension.

Junior Prom Layout

Here is another prom layout from my daughter's big day a couple of weeks ago.  Her prom was such a milestone event for she and her group of friends during this school year as juniors in high school.  The cobalt blue in this layout was the color of my daughter's prom dress.
This layout was created using the Formal Occasion cartridge for all of the die cuts including the title.
The photo mats were cut from silver paper and embellished with a strip of coordinating blue and some bling.  They were finished off with a Blue Berry Trendy Twine bow with a bling center.
I ended up cutting the title out three times so that it would have some dimension to it with some contrast between the colors of each of the cuts.
The limousine was embellished with some metal buttons and some embossing on the front and back bumpers.
I also used the D'Vine Swirls embossing folder for the dress.  I added some Stickles to both the rose/boutonniere on the hat and tuxedo.

Make a Wish Layout

This past weekend was my son's birthday so I created this layout for some of his birthday pictures.  I had several challenges in mind when I designed this layout.
I used the Birthday Bash cartridge for all of the die cuts other than the tag which was cut by hand.
The title and all of the die cuts were popped up on foam for added dimension.
I used my white gel pen to add some faux stitching to the title and to the tag.
The tag was stamped with an image from the My Creative Time All Around Accessories stamp set.  I added different colors of Stickles to the stamped image.
I used three different Cuttlebug embossing folders to emboss the balloons in order to give them some texture.  I also tied some Berry Red Trendy Twine to the balloons in place of the string.  The same twine was used to embellish the die cuts throughout the layout.

A Cinderella Story Layout

This is another layout I created for some prom pictures of my daughter.  The prom was such a big day for her that it reminded me of Cinderella which became the theme for my layout.  I used the Happily Ever After cartridge to cut the clock, carriage and "Cinderella".  The Billionaire Lite cartridge was used to cut the "A" and "Story" for the title which was welded with my Gypsy.
This layout has many different elements incorporated.  I started with two different patterned papers from a Martha Stewart stack.  A Martha Stewart border punch was used to break up the different patterns and the border was layered with a thin strip of coordinating paper.
I used the Argyle Cuttlebug folder to emboss the photo mats which coordinate with the patterned paper on the base of my layout.  A metal brad and some bling were added to the clock.
I added a few journaling tags to the layout to memorialize the prom theme.  A couple of simple bows in Berry Red Trendy Twine were the perfect embellishment for the layout.  The bows were finished off with a bling sticker.
All of the die cuts were popped up on foam for added dimension.  Some paper flowers with bling centers tie in the pop of red throughout the layout.
