Diva Layout

I created this layout for some pictures of my daughter that were taken last year.  The pictures have very bright pink and red colors and every time I tried to create a layout the colors just appeared to be too overwhelming causing me too "scrap" my layout.  I was finally able to incorporate the colors of the pictures into a layout that I liked.
This layout was created using the Out of Character cartridge for the title and Elegant Edges for the red circles and for the scalloped circle in the center of the layout.
The title was popped up on foam for added dimension and for some interest between the title and the circle behind it.  I added a pearl sticker above the "i" in "Diva".
The photo mats were double matted and accented with some pink and red polka dotted ribbon.
The photo mats were finished off with a button and a Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine bow.  The red and pink twine was the perfect accent for my layout.
I added lots of paper flowers to my layout in coordinating colors.  Each of the flowers were finished off with a pearl sticker center.

Love Layout

Today I have another simple layout to share.  I used my Out of Character cartridge for the title and Paper Lace for all of the hearts.
This patterned paper already had a mat on each of the pages so I simply cut out the title and some hearts for my layout.
For the heart ornaments I added some faux stitching with my white gel pen and hung them with Strawberry Cupcake Trendy Twine.  I also added a twine bow to finish off the hearts.
For the scattered hearts I used a Martha Stewart border punch and used the negative pieces to add to my layout.
The title was embellished with a couple of pieces of bling and pop dotted on foam to give it some dimension.

Create Layout

I generally don't scrapbook layouts about myself but wanted to memorialize a couple of fun pictures with a crafty friend of mine.  I created a layout which emphasized how much I enjoy scrapbooking. As my kids are getting older I find it easier to sneak into my craft room and create layouts to memorialize all aspects of our lives.
For this layout I used three of my Cricut Circle Cartridges.  The title was cut from Out of Character, the border from Paper Trimmings and the scissors and tags with the sentiments were cut from Cricut Everyday.
To create this layout I started with some patterned paper and added a fancy border frame as another layer for my layout.  The scissors were cut using some metallic silver paper so they would look like a real pair of scissors. A silver brad was added to each of the scissors.
I added the "Create" title to a large tag, the title has six layers which gives it a lot of dimension against the tag.  I also added the "Live, Laugh, Scrap" and "Eat, Sleep, Scrap" sentiments to oversized tags.
Each of the tags were embellished with some paper flowers with pearl centers and some crinkle ribbon topped off with a Chocolate Truffle Trendy Twine bow.
Each of the tags were inked on the edges to create some definition between the tag and the background of the layout.

Shoe Card

Today is my design day over at Trendy Twine and I have a simple card to share.  This card was created by welding two shoes together with my Gypsy from the Boys will be Boys cartridge.
The shoe was modified just a bit so that I could punch holes in order to create the Berry Trendy Twine laces.   I wrapped the ends of the twine laces with a little bit of scotch tape to complete the look of the laces.  I just love the look of Trendy Twine on my craft projects, it really adds an unexpected element to paper creations.
Don't forget to join in our July Challenge over at Trendy Twine to win some yummy twine of your own.

All Boy Layout

This layout was created using the Out of Character cartridge for "Boy" in the title.  The Boys will be Boys cartridge was used to cut "All" and the 2 circles in the background of the layout.
I used the negative cut from a tag that had "All" on it and added it to a large hand cut flag with some white stitching to create the title for my layout.
The layout was finished off with three different sentiments from the My Creative Time Sports Sentiments.  Each of the sentiments were stamped on hand cut flags with some faux stitching.

SWAK Tag

This oversized tag was cut from the Graphically Speaking cartridge.  "SWAK" was cut from the Out of Character cartridge and the kiss was cut from Indie Art.
I inked the edges of the tag and used lots of glitter glue to embellish the kiss.  I also added some paper flowers with bling centers along with a couple of strips of decorative tape.  The tag was finished off with Twisted Lime and Strawberry Cupcake Trendy Twine.

Birthday Layout

This bright layout was created with the Out of Character cartridge for the "Birthday" title and the Birthday Bash cartridge for the circle under the title and for the candles.
Since the patterned paper is so festive I decided to keep my die cuts very simple for this layout.
I cut out 10 candles and embossed them with the D'Vine Swirls and Spots and Dots Cuttlebug embossing folders.  I used some Stickles on the embossed candle flames and them wrapped them with Blue Berry Trendy Twine with a button center.  The photo mats were also accented with more twine.
The title was centered on a simple circle however some hand cut flags in coordinating colors were added all the way around the circle to highlight the title.

Keepin' it Classy Card

Today is my design day over at Trendy Twine and I have a fun card to share featuring Berry Red Trendy Twine.  I created this card using the French Manor cartridge.
To create this card, I wrapped the twine around the the dress form frame.  I used pop dots between the black and white layers to give the card some dimension.
I created the twine skirt for the dress form by using a strip of tacky tape at the waist and then added strips of twine to the tape.  Once the twine was adhered to the tape I simply unraveled it.  Next, I braided some twine and wrapped it around the waist of the dress form and finished it off with a pearl sticker.
I added some more pearl stickers to the dress form to give it a more elegant look.
The card was finished off by adding a sentiment from My Creative Time's Classy & Fabulous stamp set.  The sentiment was stamped on a hand cut flag and tied to the card with some twine.
Trendy Twine has a fun challenge going on this month for a chance to win an Extreme Pack of Trendy Twine.  Please stop by the Trendy Twine blog for details on the challenge.

Go Wild Layout

This fun layout was created using the Create A Critter cartridge for all of the die cuts including the title.
The title and the lion's mane were both cut out of self adhesive glitter paper.  I love the sparkly affect the paper adds to the layout.
I used the Fiskars Grass border punch to create the grass border at the bottom of the layout.
I used my white gel pen to add faux stitching around the edges of the layout and on the photo mats.
The giraffe was accented with an Orange Truffle Trendy Twine bow and some faux stitching with my white gel pen.
The lion's whiskers were also created with the Orange Truffle Trendy Twine.
The branch was accented with the Twisted Lime Trendy Twine and with some faux stitching.  The cute monkey was also highlighted with some stitching.

Trendy Twine Design Day - Life Layout

I am so excited that today is my first official day as a Trendy Twine designer and I am participating in our first group post.  The Trendy Gals have some beautiful creations to share with you today and tomorrow so please stop by the Trendy Twine blog and check out all of the fabulous projects.
This stars and stripes layout as I refer to it was created with the Stand and Salute cartridge.  For this single page 12x12 layout, I began with patterned paper from the DCWV Summer Stack which already had a patriotic theme.  I cut several stars from white glitter paper in 3 different sizes (2.0, 1.5 and 1.0 inches) and added them to the page on a diagonal.  The title was added to the top of the layout, however, I cut off 2 additional stars from the title so that it would fit better.
The frame was added to the top of the stars with some pops dots and I added some twine stripes to my frame to give it a more patriotic appearance.  I used Berry Red Trendy Twine for the twine stripes, for outlining the stars and also added it to the star buttons.
Giveaway and challenge:
