Twine Card

I created this card in an effort to showcase how twine can be used to add lots of details to a project. This card was created using the Walk in my Garden cartridge for the flowers and the Pooh and Friends cartridge for the clouds.
The fence was punched from a Martha Steward Border Punch and adhered to the twine grass.
For the twine grass I cut individual strands of Twisted Lime Trendy Twine.  I love the look of the twine grass, however, it was a little bit of work laying the individual pieces along the border of the card.
The Twisted Lime twine was also used to add a simple bow to the center flower stem.
The flowers were outlined with Strawberry Cupcake Trendy Twine and the clouds were outlined with Blue Berry Trendy Twine.
The butterfly was created with the Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine by wrapping the twine on a fork and tying the center with Chocolate Truffle Trendy Twine.  The card was finished off with some bling.
Don't forget to check out the Trendy Twine store for 32 fabulous colors of twine, there's a little something for everyone!

Little Princess Cards

In order to build up my stash I created a set of baby cards using the Stork's Delivery cartridge.  I used some cards from the the dollar spot at Michaels and added the cute little onsie on the hanger.  The onsie was embellished with some lace ribbon and Cotton Candy Trendy Twine.
I added hand cut tags stamped with the "Little Princess" sentiment from Docerela Creations Mix & Match I stamp set.  The tags were attached with some more Cotton Candy twine and embellished with a purple bling heart.
The cards were finished off with some paper flowers with bling centers and accented with some coordinating tulle.

Smile Card

I have a bright and cheery card to share today which was created with a simple cut from the Cheerful Seasons cartridge.  I am a huge fan of ice cream so I thought the "smile" charm was the perfect accent.
To create my card, I added a coordinating piece of card stock and used my corner rounder to round the edges of it.  A couple of strips punched with the EK Success Argyle border punch were added to the top and bottom of the card.
The ice cream cone was pop dotted onto the solid pink card stock.  The cone was embossed with the Cuttlebug Argyle embossing folder.  I wrapped some Strawberry Cupcake Trendy Twine around the cone and added a metal charm.  The ice cream was embellished with some glitter glue.

Mani Pedis Layout

I created this layout with the Girl's Make Up Party cartridge.  This cartridge was perfect for creating this very girly and pink layout.
To create this layout, I used some patterned paper and added a couble of heart doilies on top.  My die cuts were then layered on top of the doilies.
The die cuts were embellished with some pink pearl stickers and some Posy Trendy Twine.  The die cuts were also popped up on foam for added dimension.
The little banner was created using a Martha Stewart punch for the scalloped circles and the Inkadinkado "Girlfriends" stamp set for the sentiments and lips.  I punched some holes in the circles and strung the twine through the holes.  Each of the ends was finished off with a little bow and a pearl center.
This cartridge was very easy to layer with and has some fun girly cuts on it for those feminine projects.

Sweet Layout

For this layout I recreated a scene I previously made for another project.  I loved how the little scene turned out so I duplicated it to use on this layout.  The little bird friends are my favorite.  All of the die cuts are from the Straight from the Nest cartridge other than the title "Sweet" which came from Create A Critter.
The die cuts were all inked on the edges to give them some dimension with the exception of the title.

The Fiskars Grass border punch was used to create the grass at the bottom of the scene.  I added lots of paper flowers to the layout and used pearl stickers as embellishments.
Some Chocolate Cupcake Trendy Twine was added to each of the butterflies to simulate a flight path.  I also used the Trendy Twine on the birdcage.
I hand cut a simple flag and stamped "So Sweet" from the Scrappy Moms Mini Messages stamp set.

Trendy Twine Design Day

Today is my design day over at Trendy Twine and I have a simple card to share featuring Krazy for Kraft Trendy Twine.  For my project, I wanted to showcase how easy it is to stitch with twine.  With my Sew Easy Stitch Piercer I created some lines of holes on three sides of my card and with a needle I stitched around my card.  The stitching was finished off with a small twine bow.  To accent the twine stitching, I also added some faux stitching with my white gel pen along the edges of the card and to the flag.
To embellish my card, I cut four squares out of kraft card stock and embossed them with the Charles Cuttlebug embossing folder which created the chevron pattern.  The kraft squares were matted onto white card stock and adhered to my card.  I hand cut the flag and added the "Happy Birthday" sentiment from the Making Memories woven labels.
Trendy Twine has a fun challenge this month and the prize is 10 yards of Krazy for Kraft twine and 10 yards of each of the new Trendy Twine colors posted below, please stop by the Trendy Twine blog for details on the challenge.

Adventures Layout

This layout was created using the Noah's ABC Animals cartridge.  This cartridge has great animal cuts on it which are super easy to layer.
For my layout, I created a little scene by tearing some thick, glitter card stock and adding it to a solid blue background.
The title was symmetrically placed between each of the pages and pop dotted for extra dimension.
I added the animals along with the clouds which essentially completed the outdoor scene.
I hand cut the signs for each page and also added some hand cut flags to my layout.  The sentiments were stamped from the Heidi Grace Designs Cherrywood Lane stamp set.
The die cuts were accented with Chocolate Truffle and Krazy for Kraft Trendy Twine.

Trendy Twine Design Day - Family Time Layout

Hello, today is our group design day over at Trendy Twine and this month we are featuring Krazy for Kraft Trendy Twine.  This is a great neutral color which adds a fun element to craft projects.  For my project I created a 12x12 double page layout.
This layout was created using A Child's Year cartridge.  This cartridge is loaded with silhouette die cuts and was perfect for my layout.
The waves at the bottom of the layout were created by using the Boundary Waters Fiskars border punch.  I punched out two layers, inked them and glued them together to create some waves.
The "Life's a beach" sentiment is from Docerela Stamps Summertime set and was added to a hand cut flag which was cut twice in different colors.
For my project, I wanted to showcase how twine can be used to accent die cuts by outlining them.  By using just a thin line of glue you can quickly add some twine to outline any die cuts that you may want to highlight on a project.
The girls swimsuit was also outlined and just adds an unexpected element to the layout.  I also added some twine to the photo mats, the title and the pails.
Each of the die cuts and photo mats were also inked on the edges to create some definition.
With a new month we have a new Trendy Twine Challenge for you.  Come link up with us to win some yummy Trendy Twine by creating a project with a beach theme, using Trendy Twine and washi tape.  Also, don't forget to check out the new additions to the Trendy Twine line of colors, there some gorgeous new colors in the store.

Baby Layout

This layout was created using the Stork's Delivery cartridge by "repurposing" the die cuts from another project.  Initially I had created a baby banner for a work baby shower.
The banner had just been laying around so I took the die cuts from the banner to create a layout for some pictures of my niece.
This layout was super easy to create since the background paper already had a pattern, a border and a little giraffe on it.
Each of the die cuts were popped up on foam for extra dimension.
I used five different Cuttlebug embossing folders to give some extra texture to the die cuts.
The die cuts were embellished with some Posy Trendy Twine creating a soft vintage affect.
The little onesie and the booties are two of my favorite cuts on this layout.  I thought the little hanger was just adorable.
