Treat Box and Card

I created this treat box and card gift set to package up some treats for a friend of mine who is recovering from an injury.  I thought some bright colors were in order to cheer her up.  The box and card were both created with the Wrap It Up cartridge.
I used some acetate to cover the opening on two sides of the box so I could hide some treats in there without worrying about them falling out.
I embellished the box with some Strawberry Cupcake Trendy Twine by outlining all of the lollipops.  I also added a couple of twine bows to my project and finished off the tag with some twine.
The tag and card were both faux stitched with my white gel pen.  I then added some twine stitching to my card as a finishing touch.

Road Trip Layout

This layout was created for our family road trip pictures.  I used the Summer Celebrations cartridge for all of the die cuts.
For my layout, I added a coordinating border to the center of the solid card stock which had a road trip theme.
The photo mats had three layers to give them some dimension and to coordinate with the center border.
For the handle of the suitcase, I wrapped some Berry Red Trendy Twine and added a sentiment to the front.  The suitcase was also inked on the edges to give it more of a rustic appearance.
All of the sentiments came from the Fiskars "Away We Go Road Trip" stamp set.  I hand cut the flags to use for the sentiments and also matted the stamped images on coordinating card stock.
For the car and camper tires, I used the Herringbone Cuttlebug embossing folder and added a brad to each of the tire centers.

My Gnomies Layout

Today I have a fun layout to share featuring these cute little gnomes from the Freshly Picked cartridge. The title was cut from Lyrical Letters and the circle and scalloped circle were cut from Elegant Edges.
Ever since I bought this cartridge I have wanted to create a layout with it but could not figure out any kind of theme.  I finally thought it would be fun to play on the word "homies" and substitute in "gnomies."
I added a coordinating circle and scalloped circle to the background of my layout and kept my photo mats very neutral.  I used Twisted Lime Trendy Twine to embellish the photo mats.
I also used some more twine to create a path for the felt ladybugs on my layout.
The layout was embellished with lots of paper flowers in coordinating colors with bling and pearl centers.
The gnomes got a little bit of chalk for their cheeks and lots of stickles as an embellishment.
I can't wait to use these cartridge again, I just love these cute little guys and am very pleased with they turned out for my layout.

BBQ Layout

This layout was created for some pictures of a family barbecue.  I used the George and Basic Shapes cartridge for the large hexagon in the background and the Block Party Lite cartridge for all of the other die cuts.
To create this layout, I started with a hexagon patterned paper and added some barbecue themed paper on top and then added a large hexagon to break up all of the busy patterns.
I created a pennant style border at the top of the layout by punching out scalloped circles with a Martha Steward punch.  I punched some holes and strung them with Krazy for Kraft Trendy Twine.
The large title was used as an anchor for the pennant at the top of the layout.  I added two yellow brads to the shirt of the "barbecuer".
I also used some more twine to outline the smoke from the barbecue.
The "Fire up the grill" sentiment is from the Docerela "Summertime" Stamp Set and the "BBQ" and "enjoy" sentiments are from the Fiskars "Celebrate" stamp set.

Hello everyone, welcome to the blog hop hosted by Trendy Twine (TT) and My Thoughts Exactly (MTE).  We have two awesome companies who share their love for crafting.  Trendy Twine specializes in the creation of unique twine colors being the first twine company to have three colors in the twist and a "licorice" line with black twine.  It's the trendiest twine out there.  My Thoughts Exactly offers mix and match stamp sets aiming to provide stampers the most versatility.

For the hop today we have a unique twine and stamp bundle that we are showcasing.  This set includes an exclusive "Build-a-Jack" 4x2 stamp set and an exclusive 10 yard mini of Grape Limeade, 10 yard mini of Grape Licorice and a 10 yard mini of Lime Licorice Trendy Twine.  Please check out Annie's Paper Boutique for details, this bundle is very limited.
If you are visiting the hop in order you should have come from Jessica's blog.  If you just came across my blog and want to start at the beginning, please start at the Trendy Twine blog.  For my project, I created this witch shoe card using the Happy Hauntings cartridge.  The card was cut at 5.5 inches.  At the top of my card I used the Wavy Dotted Scallop EK Success Punch.
I used the Grape/Limeade Trendy Twine to embellish my card.  I added a row of looped twine, stitched twine and then created loops with pearl stickers for the boot buttons.  I just love the grape and lime twist together, it is perfect for Halloween.
My card was finished with a tag cut from the "Labels" digital cartridge cut twice at 2.0 and 2.25 inches and layered.  For some dimension I inked the edges of the tag.
The tag was stamped with the "Build-a-Jack" My Thoughts Exactly stamp set.  This stamp step is so versatile with the ability to choose different shapes for the eyes, nose and mouth of the Jack-O-Latern.
The next stop on the hop is Kendra's blog.  Here is the line up for the entire hop:

Sweet Layout

With the end of Summer quickly approaching I have a summery layout to share today.  I used the Smiley Cards cartridge for the title, popsicles and ice cream cones.
I used the Martha Stewart Drippy Goo punch on the solid card stock at the top of the layout and also on the photo mats.
The ice cream was embossed with the D'Vine Swirls Cuttlebug embossing folder and the cones were embossed with the Sizzix Diamonds embossing folders.
The title and the popsicles were embossed with the Darice Swirl embossing folder.  I cut the title out twice and offset it to create a layer, embossing only the top layer.
Each of the popsicles were finished off with a bow in some yummy Trendy Twine.

Trendy Twine Design Day

Today is my design day over at Trendy Twine and I have a unique card to share featuring Chocolate Sprinkles Trendy Twine.  For my project, I created the fence background by using the Core'dinations White Wash collection and embossed it with the Sizzix Tim Holtz Woodgrain embossing folder.  I lightly sanded the embossed pattern to give it more of a rustic appearance.  Some brads were added to finish off the fence.
The rest of the card was kept fairly simple by using different punches for the die cuts.  The die cuts were embellished with some stickles, bling and outlined with Chocolate Sprinkles Trendy Twine.  The butterfly also has a little twine flight path.
My card was finished off with a grass border at the bottom of the fence and with a few paper flowers.
There is another fun challenge going on at Trendy Twine this month.  Come link up with us to win some yummy twine.  Also, don't forget to check out the store for 33 Trendy Twine colors!

Baked with Love Layout

I created this layout for some pictures of my kids actually baking in the kitchen so of course I had to memorialize the special day.
For this layout I used the Quarter Note cartridge for the title and From my Kitchen for all of the other die cuts.
I used my white gel pen to do lots of doodling and stitching on each of the die cuts and on the photo mats.  The corners of the photo mats were rounded off with a corner rounder punch.
The title was popped up on foam dots to give it some extra dimension and to keep it from blending into the patterned card stock.
The apron and glove were embellished with the Houndstooth Cuttlebug embossing folder and finished off with just an accent of Posy Trendy Twine.
The oven received some little pearl sticker buttons as a finishing touch.
