Hoo Loves You?

I am sharing a very simple card I created using the owl cut from the Create A Critter cartridge.  The owl was cut at 4.0 inches, he is adorable with all of his layers cut in different colors.  He was inked on the edges for added dimension.
The sentiment is from the Scrappy Moms "Crazy for You" stamp set.  I finished off my card with some Chocolate Truffle Trendy Twine on the top of my card.

Happy Fall Layout

As it gets closer to winter I have ones last fall layout to share which was created using the Simply Charmed cartridge.
To give the layout more of a rustic appearance and to add dimension I inked the edges of the die cuts.
The faces of the scarecrows were hidden using my Gypsy.  I used the "Too Much Fun Faces" Peachy Keen Stamps for the faces of the scarecrows.  I also added some chalk to their cheeks and a little bit of doodling with my white gel pen.
The title of the layout was embellished with a large sunflower button.  I added some jute twine bows to each of the photo mats.
The hair for the scarecrows was created with Lemon Tart Trendy Twine and the pumpkins were embellished with some Orange Truffle Trendy Twine.
The tree on my layout had a bat attached to it which I simply trimmed off and added a few leaves from the EK Success "Fall Leaf" punch.

Happy Thanksgiving Layout

In honor of Thanksgiving this one page 12x12 layout was created using the Elmo and Friends Holiday cartridge.  This cartridge is quickly becoming one of my favorite holiday cartridges.  It has the cutest character cuts on it.
The title of my layout was embellished with a twine bow using Holly Green Trendy Twine.  I also added lots of doodling with my white gel pen.
A large paper flower with a scalloped circle wrapped with Orange Truffle Trendy Twine was added to the layout.  A smaller flower with a bling center finished off the embellishment.  The photo mat was embellished with a border punched from the "Fall Gatherings" Fiskars border punch, a paper flower and more Orange Truffle Trendy Twine.

Giving Thanks Layout

This layout was created with the Celebrate with Flourish Lite Cartridge.  All of the die cuts were cut at 4.0 inches with the exception of the leaves which were cut at 2.5 inches.
The leaves were part of a small bunch with the acorns on the right page, I trimmed off the leaves and acorns from the bunch and scattered them throughout the two pages of my layout.
In order to give the die cuts some dimension and to keep them from blending into the patterned background, I inked the edges of all of the die cuts.

Some Orange Truffle Trendy Twine was used to embellish the title, the hat and the photo mats.

I used the Distress Stripes Cuttlebug embossing folder to emboss the pumpkin and the Tiny Bubbles folder for the grapes.
The photo mats were double matted and inked on the edges for added dimension against the patterned background.

Birthday Celebration Weekend

Hello everyone and welcome to Trendy Twine's Birthday Celebration weekend.  As some of you know, yesterday was Lesley's birthday and tomorrow is her Mom's birthday, so some of "US" her awesome Design Team made her Mom a card to make her Birthday Celebration complete. Now if you're here from Trendy Twine then you're in the right direction, but if you're just passing thru you may want to start at Trendy Twine because you don't want to miss out on the blog candy. Here is what I made for Lesley's Mom using the Create A Critter cartridge for the kitty which was cut at 3.5 inches.  I hid her face using my Gyspy and used Peachy Keen "Critter Faces" stamp set. The kitty also got some chalk for her cheeks and some doodling with my white gel pen.
The birthday hat was embossed with the Candy Cane Cuttlebug embossing folder.  I added a couple of paper flowers with bling centers and the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Scrappy Moms "Mini Messages" stamp set to a hand cut flag.
The card wouldn't be complete without some Trendy Twine so I used Black LicoriceGrape Fizz and Twisted Teal.  Next on the hop is Candi.

Be Thankful Layout

This double page 12x12 layout was created using the Elmo and Friends Holiday Cartridge for both the title and Elmo.
I embossed the brown letters in the title with the Diamonds Sizzix Embossing folder to give the title some dimension and to keep it from blending into the busy background.
The scattered leaves were punched from the "Fall Leaf" EK Success punch.  I added some Orange Truffle Trendy Twine to create a banner in the corner of the layout.
A couple of simple twine bows were added to the title and to Elmo as an embellishment.
Elmo was adhered to a doily which was originally white.  The doily was inked with several different colors to give it a rustic appearance.

Trendy Twine Design Day

Today is my design day over at Trendy Twine and I have a Thanksgiving card to share.  I created this card with the Create A Critter cartridge for the turkey which was sized at 4.0 inches using my Gypsy.
The turkey was inked on the edges and embellished with Orange Truffle Trendy Twine.  I also added some twine to the top of the card and finished it off with a paper flower and a twine bow.  The "Happy Thanksgiving" banner at the top is a sticker from my stash.

Berry Sweet Layout

This layout was created for some pictures of my niece who was a strawberry for Halloween and at only 7 months old she definitely was berry sweet.
I used the Simply Charmed cartridge for the die cuts on my layout.  With the strawberry themed patterned paper this layout was super simple to create.
The strawberries were embossed with the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug embossing folder and inked on the edges for some dimension.
I used Berry Red  Trendy Twine to embellish a few of the die cuts.  A tiny bit of Twisted Lime Trendy Twine was used for the stem of the strawberry on the right page.

Trendy Twine Design Day

Welcome to the November Trendy Twine Group Design Day.  We are featuring the Orange Truffle Trendy Twine this month.  Orange Truffle is the perfect combination of orange and brown for those Fall and Thanksgiving projects.
For my project, I created a treat basket cut from the Elmo and Friends Holiday cartridge.  This Thanksgiving basket was cut at 8.0 inches.  I thought this was the perfect size basket for some treats for my kids.
I added twine stitching to the handle of the basket as an accent.  The handle was then finished off with a double twine bow.
My treat basket was embellished with a large paper flower to which I adhered a one inch scalloped circle wrapped in twine.  A small paper flower with a bling center finished off my embellishment.
This month we have a Thanksgiving challenge going on so come link up with us over at Trendy Twine.  Also remember to check out the Trendy Twine store for all of the great twine colors.
