Lovely Layout

This layout was created with a challenge in mind over at Lasting Memories.  The challenge was to use an odd number of embellishments and and an even number of photos.  For my embellishments I have 3 flowers, 3 small hand cut flags, 1 large hand cut flag, and 5 triangles on my banner.  I also have 6 photo mats.
The title was cut from the Cricut Alphabet cartridge.  The photo mats were added to a large mat and accented on the corners with coordinating strips of paper.
A large hand cut flag in animal print paper was placed behind the photo mat.  The same paper was used to create some embellishments by cutting flags.
The banner was hand cut and embellished with some Totally White Trendy Twine.  Another hand cut flag was placed under the banner.
A few paper flowers with bling centers were added to my layout.  The title was popped up on foam dots for added dimension.

Touchdown Layout

This one page layout was created using three different cartridges.  The title was cut from Base Camp, the helmet and football from Sports Mania and the star frame from Designer's Calendar.
The title, helmet and the football were popped up on foam dots for added dimension.
The tag was hand cut and embellished with some crinkle ribbon and jute twine.  I added a couple of football stickers and a metal pennant on the tag.
The star frame was also embellished with some jute twine and a button.  Some sports stickers were added to each of the hand cut flags.

The Big Day Layout

This double page layout was created from papers that I found in my stash from when I first started scrapbooking many years ago.  All of the papers and tags came from the same collection making the layout super easy to create.
The title was cut from the Beyond Birthdays cartridge.  It coordinated perfectly with the circle tags so I grouped them together.

I outlined the circle around the title with Chocolate Sprinkles Trendy Twine.  The title was cut twice to add some dimension.
The large circle will be perfect to add a picture and the small circles will be perfect for journaling.
I added a couple of sentiments from Docerela stamps on hand cut flags and accented them with some more coordinating twine.
A large photo mat and some tags finished off my layout, all accented with twine.

Docerela Creations "All Year Long" Release and Challenge

Today is challenge day over at Docerela Creations and we are showcasing the "All Year Long" stamp set.
This time we have an "anything goes" challenge so it's time to get creative.  For my card, I went to my stash and used some scraps to create my card.  I rounded the corners of the card and used some paper and Black Licorice Trendy Twine to  give the appearance of a gift which was finished off with a rosette.
For the center of the rosette, I punched a scallop circle from a Martha Stewart punch, inked the edges and added a sentiment from the new stamp set.
To check out the new stamps, stop by the store.  The design team also has inspiring projects to share:

For You Card

This card was inspired by the doily stamp I used on the background.  I picked up the stamp in the dollar bins at Michaels and thought I would create a card with it.  I added some polka dot paper to the card for a pop of color and some coordinating bling for the doily centers.
The medallion for the sentiment was punched with the Martha Stewart Daisy Medallion punch.  A sentiment from Docerela Stamps was added to a punched scallop circle.   The card was finished off with a small Strawberry Cupcake Trendy Twine bow.

Special Day Card

I created this card using a rosette left over from another project so I used it as the focal point for my card.  My card was inspired by a challenge over at Pinspired Challenges.  Here is the inspiration photo:
The pink and aqua color combination caught my eye.  I used Twisted Gumball Trendy Twine for the center of my card and also on the hand cut flag.
The large hand cut flag and center of the rosette were embossed with the Anna Griffin Cuttlebug Embossing folder.  Some coordinating ribbon was added to the base of the card along with a small tag with a sentiment from Docerela Stamps.

The design team shared some sneak peeks this week.  The new challenge is to create a 3x3 mini card.  For my project, I created a mini birthday card using the Sweet Treats cartridge for the cupcake.
The frosting was embossed with the D'Vine Swirls embossing folder.  I added some pop dots to the back for some dimension.  The fun sentiment was stamped on a scalloped circle punched from a Martha Stewart punch.  I inked the edges and then added to the sentiment to a hand cut flag.  The card was finished off with some Strawberry Cupcake Trendy Twine.
The new stamps are available in the store.  Come join our "3x3 mini card" challenge.  For more inspiration from the design team, please stop by their blogs:

Docerela Creations Sneak Peek

Today is my design day over at Docerela Creations and I have a sneak peek project featuring the new stamps which will be released on Friday.  For my project I created a pinwheel tag.  I used a doily on my tag and added some bling around the outside.  A small paper flower was added to a scallop circle from my stash.
The pinwheel was created by using a simple tutorial I found on Pinterest and held together by a small brad.  Some Limeade Trendy Twine was added to the pinwheel.  The Happy Birthday sentiment was stamped on a scalloped circle punched from a Martha Stewart punch and pop dotted on the tag.
Friday is release day for the new stamp set along with a new challenge, please stop by for all of the details and for a closer look at the new stamp set.

Trendy Twine Design Day - Altered Journal

Today is our group design day over on the Trendy Twine blog and we are featuring a new twine color this month, Cherry Lemonade.  This twine is a twist of red and yellow.
For my project, I altered a journal with the back to school theme.  At the bottom of the journal I adhered a school theme border.  I created a notebook page on the cover by cutting a small piece of school writing theme scrapbook paper and punching the edge with the Fiskars Notebook punch.
I intertwined the twine through the punched edge by double wrapping it.  A pencil cut from the Smiley Cards cartridge was added to the notebook page, wrapped with some twine.  The pencil was embossed with the Distress Stripes Cuttlebug embossing folder.  The twine was then swirled on the page with a line of glue to give the appearance of doodling.  As a finishing touch, the notebook page was stamped with a sentiment from Docerela stamps.
A coordinating bookmark was created by adhering a school theme border.  A small apple cut from the Create a Critter cartridge and stamped with Peachy Keen Stamps was added to the bookmark.  A small amount of ribbon with stars was added to the hole at the top and tied with a small twine bow.
Stop by the store to check out this new twine color featured for the month of September along with Lemon Peppermint another new color.  We also have a fun back to school challenge going on this month, so please come link up your creations here.  Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
