Happy New Year!

I have one final post to share for 2015.  Reflecting on this past year, it was an amazing crafty year!  I have enjoyed each and everyone of my crafty adventures this year and am looking forward to 2016!  I created this New Year's card using the DCWV Everlasting Love stack.  I just love the elegant papers in this stack.
I cut the "2016" from the Cricut Alphabet cartridge and the mat from the Photo Booth Props cartridge using my Cricut Explore.  The flowers were left over from another project and they seemed perfect for my card.  I added a sentiment from the Scrappy Moms A Holiday to Remember stamp set.  A bit of Black Licorice Trendy Twine was the finishing touch on my card.
I would like to wish everyone a safe and prosperous 2016!  Thank you so much for stopping by my blog, I truly appreciate all of the comments!  Happy New Year!

Let It Snow

Happy Monday, I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas holiday.  I know I enjoyed my family time, it is always so nice to get together as a family and spend some quality time together.  Today I have a winter shaker card which I created with some Doodlebug papers from my stash.  Sometimes it is nice to have a coordinating collection of papers which makes it so easy to put together a project.
I used my Cricut Explore to design my shaker card and cut each of the pieces.  The snowman inside the shaker is a sticker, also from Doodlebug Designs.  I added some sequins from my stash and a few enamel dots and my winter card was finished!

Merry Christmas

The Trendy Twine Design Team has a special post to share today to wish our fans a Merry Christmas. For my project, I created a super fun card using the Cutie KaToodles - Santa's Little Helper cutting file from KaDoodle Bug Designs.  As soon as I saw this file I knew I had to make a fun project with it.  I accented my card with some gorgeous Cherry Limeade Trendy Twine.  The twine coordinated perfectly with the beautiful papers from the DCWV Christmas Combo Mat Stack.
The sentiment on the tag is from the Scrappy Moms Winter Wishes stamp set.  The tag was punched with a Fiskars tag punch, however, I had to trim it slightly to fit it on my card.  I finished off my card with some flowers from my stash.
Don't forget to head over to the Trendy Twine blog to check out all of the awesome projects from the design team.  Also, stop by the store to check out all of the crafty goodies that are available.  Thanks for stopping by!  Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to You

Today I am sharing a quick gift bag I created to tuck in a gift card.  My project started with a plain Chevron Kraft Bag from Annie's Paper Boutique.  I created a belly band for my bag by adhering some gold and kraft paper from my stash.  I found a gorgeous burlap tag in my stash which also had gold polka dots on it.  I love the touches of gold which added some elegance to my project.
I used a tiny clothespin to clip a red snowflake to the burlap tag and added a sentiment from the Scrappy Moms Dancing in Circles 2 stamp set.  The clothespin was embellished with a small twine bow in Totally Red Trendy Twine.  The finishing touch was a couple of small branches punched with the Martha Stewart Branch punch and the Autumn Mix Sequins for a bit more sparkle.

Fa-la-la Layout

Hello, today I am sharing a project over on the KaDoodle Bug Designs blog.  I created a double page 12x12 layout using the Christmas Monsters cutting file from KaDoodle Bug Designs.  As I was digging through my Christmas papers I found these whimsical colors and patterns and thought they were perfect for a layout with these adorable Christmas Monsters.
I cut an extra Santa hat to add on top of the photo mats on each of the pages, I also added a couple of presents from the same cutting file.  The Santa hats were accented with some Stickles for a bit of sparkle.
A large tag was hand cut and stamped with the Scrappy Moms Subway Sentiments - Holiday stamp set.  The tag was accented with some Frosted Cranberry Trendy Twine.

Welcome to another Terrific Tuesday Challenge over at Scrappy Moms Stamps.  The theme for this challenge is "Dreaming of a White Christmas - use snow or the color white".   For my project, I created a card using the Fun in the Snow cutting file from KaDoodle Bug Designs.  The face was stamped with the new Peachy Keen Snow Sucks Assortment face stamps.  All of the gorgeous papers are from the DCWV DIY Project Stack Ornaments.  I just love the iridescent paper in this stack.
I mixed in some gorgeous Frosty Sequins amongst the snowflakes in the background and added a few to the bucket of snowballs.  The snowballs were accented with some Stickles.  The fun sentiment is from the Scrappy Moms Winter Wishes stamp set.  A small bow in Totally White Trendy Twine was adhered to the bucket.

I accented my entire layout with some gorgeous Holly Berry twine which coordinated perfectly with the papers.  A Chevron Trendy Page Dot was added to the large tag tied to the photo mat.  The scalloped circles were punched with the EKSuccess Scalloped Circle punch in 2 different sizes, hole punched and stamped with a sentiment from the Scrappy Moms Christmas Cheer stamp set.  Some bling stickers were adhered to the Christmas Tree as an embellishment.

Snowflakes are Kisses Sent from Heaven

Today I have a project to share which I created for a couple of challenges I had in mind.  I created a fun card using the sketch challenge for December over at DCWV.  I used the 6x6 "DIY Project Stack Ornaments" for my card.  Even though this stack is designed to create 3D style projects, I love the gorgeous papers it has and I couldn't resist using those sparkly snowflakes.  I trimmed down a couple of snowflakes so they would fit better on my card.
My card looked a bit plain so I added a punched circle to the center of the large snowflake and stamped a snowman face from the new Peachy Keen Everyday Character Snow Faces stamp set.  The sweet sentiment is from the Scrappy Moms Winter Wishes stamp set.  This has been one of my go to stamp sets lately, I love all of the sentiments on it.
Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great day!

Sending Holiday Cheer!

Today I have an easy gift idea to share.  I used my Cricut Explore to cut out this hot chocolate pocket. A packet of hot cocoa fits perfectly inside the pocket.  This file was shared in one of the Cricut Facebook groups and unfortunately I couldn't find who to give credit too.  I used some pretty snowflake paper from the DCWV Hand Painted Christmas Stack.  More snowflake paper from the same stack created a fun belly band.
The large snowflakes on the center of the belly band were cut from the KaDoodle Bug Designs Snowflakes cutting file.  A circle was layered in the center of the snowflakes and stamped with the Peachy Keen Frosty Friends stamp set.  The handle of the pocket was accented with another snowflake and some Cranberry Trendy Twine. The finishing touch was the sweet sentiment from the Scrappy Moms Merry Kissmas stamp set.
Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a fabulous day!

Trendy Twine Design Day

Hello everyone!  I'm over on the Trendy Twine blog today with a fun project featuring a Candy Tin from Annie's Paper Boutique.  I was trying to find a creative use for my tin so I packed it with some Candy Cane flavored Hershey's Kisses and decorated it as Santa.  I used the Christmas Feet cutting file from KaDoodle Bug Designs to cut the Santa feet for my tin.  The D'Vine Swirls Cuttlebug embossing folder was used to accent the fur on the Santa feet.  I attached some black paper along the center and cut out a buckle with my Explore.  A few buttons were added along with a scalloped border punched from the Scalloped Sentiment Fiskars Punch.
The scalloped border was accented with some Holly Berry Trendy Twine.  More twine was used to accent the sentiment tag.  The tag was punched with the Fiskars Tag Punch.  The sentiment is from the Scrappy Moms Christmas Cheer stamp set.
Head on over to Annie's Paper Boutique to pick up these Candy Tins for those holiday projects.  You will also find lots of crafty goodies in the store along with some gorgeous twine colors.  Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day!

Terrific Tuesday Challenge - Tag It!

Welcome to another Terrific Tuesday Challenge over at Scrappy Moms Stamps.  The theme for this challenge is "Tag It - use a tag".  For my project I created a tag which can be attached to any gift.  I hand cut my tag and adhered a large snowflake to it.  A Swirly Trendy Page Dot was added to the tag as an accent.  The sweet snowman was cut from the Snow Cute Snowmen cutting file from KaDoodle Bug Designs.  The face was stamped with the new Snow Happy Face Assortment Peachy Keen Stamps.
The snowman's hat and tag were both embellished with some Watermelon Taffy Trendy Twine.  I also used some Stickles along the snow at the bottom of the tag.  The sweet sentiment is from the Scrappy Moms Merry Kissmas stamp set.

Holiday Hugs!

Happy Monday!  I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  I know I enjoyed the long holiday weekend with lots of food and family time.  Today I have a fun and festive card to share which was created with the Cool Snowman cutting file from KaDoodle Bug Designs.  I just received my new Peachy Keen Stamps and used the Snow Funny Face Assortment stamps for the snowman's face.  I popped him up on some foam dots for added dimension.
The "Holiday Hugs" sentiment seemed to be the perfect fit for this guy who is ready to give a big hug.  The sentiment is from the Scrappy Moms Christmas Cheer stamp set. The finishing touch on my card was a small bow in Cherry Limeade Trendy Twine.

Happy Thanksgiving!

The Trendy Twine Design Team is finishing off this month with a special post to wish our fans a very Happy Thanksgiving.  For my project, I created a very simple card with some fun goodies from my stash.  I started my project off with a basic kraft card which had the festive polka dots printed on it.  I simply popped up a couple of acorns on some foam dots which were embossed with the Houndstooth Cuttlebug embossing folder.  The acorns were then finished off with twine bows in Totally Kraft Trendy Twine.
I ran some coordinating ribbon along the base of my card and attached a hand cut flag with a sentiment from the Scrappy Moms A Holiday to Remember stamp set.  The finishing touch on my card was a few sequins from the Autumn Sequins Mix from Annie's Paper Boutique.

Gobble Till You Wobble

Hello, today I am sharing a project over on the KaDoodle Bug Designs blog.  I created a Thanksgiving card using the Cutie KaToodles - Turkey cutting file from KaDoodle Bug Designs.  The Cutie KaToodles are one of my favorite lines from KBD since I love their big eyes and this file is no exception.  I gave my turkey some fun criss cross eyelashes to make those big eyes pop even more.
I stamped a sentiment from the Scrappy Moms A Holiday to Remember stamp set on a scalloped circle.  A bit of doodling was added to the scalloped circle with my white gel pen.  The scalloped circle was adhered on some pop dots for added dimension.  My card was finished off with some Pumpkin Spice Trendy Twine on the base of my card.
Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a wonderful day and a Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Holidays!

Happy Monday!  I have a fun card to share which I created for the sketch challenge over at DCWV. All of the papers for my card are from the Christmas Combo Mat stack.
I went to my stash of Spellbinders dies to cut the large doily at the base of my card and the scalloped circle flowers.  Each of the flowers were accented with a button from my stash and some coordinating Christmas Mint Trendy Twine.  I tucked in some punched branches using the Martha Stewart Branch Punch, this is certainly one of my favorite holiday punches.  I just love the intricate branches this punch creates.

Trendy Twine Birthday!

Hello everyone, the Trendy Twine Design Team has joined together to surprise Lesley with a special birthday post.  Each of the design team members created a special card that was mailed to Lesley to wish her a very Happy Birthday!  For my project, I used some fun papers from Doodlebug Design since I know Lesley loves their products and the color pink is one of her favorites.
I adhered a Treat Bag to the front of my card which was the perfect size to tuck in an oversized tag which can be reused as a bookmark.  The tag was accented with a Chevron Trendy Page Dot and some gorgeous Strawberry Cupcake Trendy Twine.  The twine was also wrapped around the Treat Bag.  The cupcake was cut from the Sweet Treats Cricut cartridge and adhered to a scholloped circle which was popped up on foam dots for added dimension.  A sweet sentiment from the Scrappy Moms Mini Messages stamp set was tucked in on a hand cut flag.

Trendy Twine Design Day

Hello everyone!  I'm over on the Trendy Twine blog today with a fun project featuring the newly released Creamy Pumpkin twine.  It is a gorgeous twist of pumpkin orange and natural/unbleached twine.  For my project, I created a fall themed layout page using the Crisp Autumn Days cutting file from KaDoodle Bug Designs.  I added the fox and his barrel of apples to a large banner tag so he would stand out on my project.  The banner tag was accented with a couple of coordinating Hello Fall Trendy Page Dots and some twine.
A few scalloped flowers were punched using kraft card stock and the twine was used for the centers.  I used my watercolor pencils to create the accents on the scalloped flowers.  I also embellished the background mat with a bit more twine.  A couple of doilies from my stash were tucked in behind the mat and accented with some coordinating flowers.
Head on over to Annie's Paper Boutique to check out all of the new gorgeous twine colors available for those Fall projects.  Thanks so much for stopping by and have a fabulous day!

Touchdown Layout

Today I have another project to share with the newly released Scrappy Moms Stamps In the End Zone stamp set.  I created a single page layout for a picture of my son who is a senior in high school.  I used the Simple Life: Football cutting file from KaDoodle Bug Designs.
I always find it a challenge to keep my layouts simple since I love embellishments.  I had to keep the masculine theme in mind.  I added 3 different sentiments from the new stamp set since they were all perfect for my layout.  The finishing touch on my page was a bit of Totally Black Trendy Twine tied to the "2015" tag.
Here's a closer look at the new stamp set, available here:

Dino-Mite Layout

Happy Monday! I haven't been feeling well for the past couple of weeks and haven't had the chance to get in my scrap room so I thought I would share a simple layout which I created some time ago and never shared on my blog. My layout was created using the Cute Little Dino cutting file from KaDoodle Bug Designs.  The title was cut from the Dino Play cartridge.  I embossed the dinosaur with the Mesh Texture Cuttlebug embossing folder and the egg with the Darice Crackle embossing folder.  I love the texture embossing adds and need to remember to use my embossing folders more.
The "you rock" sentiment is from the Scrappy Moms Mini Messages stamp sets.  This is one of my go to stamp sets.  Some Chocolate Truffle Trendy Twine was added to the photo mat as a finishing touch.
Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous day!
