Sweet Layout

Today I have a spring themed layout to share created with the DCWV Garden Charm Stack.  The papers in this stack are perfect for those Spring themed projects.  The title for my layout was cut from the Kate's ABC's cartridge, the scalloped circle from the Art Philosophy cartridge and the butterflies from the Home for the Holidays - Spring & Summer cartridge.  The title was popped up on foam dots for added dimension
The circle was embellished with a few paper flowers from my stash.  Another flower was adhered to the flag above the title.  I blinged out the butterflies and flowers for some sparkle and shine.  The finishing touch on my layout was some Grape Fizz Trendy Twine.
Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a fabulous day!

Just 4 You!

I have a sweet card to share which I created for my niece who is turning 4 on Saturday.  She loves to come over and scrapbook with me asking me to cut out animals for her on my Explore.  I created a farm animal card for her using the Noah's ABC Animals cartridge for the cow, the Country Life cartridge for the pig and chicken and Create a Critter for the sentiment.  The grass was punched from the Fiskars Grass punch.
I kept my card fairly simple without any embellishments for safety reasons.  I also tried to use as much pink as possible since my niece tells me it's her favorite color.
Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a wonderful day!

Party Gift Bags

Hello, I have a fun and festive birthday post to share using some products from Oriental Trading.  I love all of the products they have for scrapbooking and paper crafts, especially for celebrations. Today I am sharing some fun projects I created with these products.  All of the patterned papers I used are from the Neon Paper Pack, they are so bright and cheery.  The solid card stock is from the Full Color Spectrum Paper Pack, it coordinated perfectly with the patterned papers.
To create my party gift bags, I started with the Small Neon Gift Bags and layered them with some solid and patterned card stock.  I adhered a scalloped oval on top and cut out some cupcakes with my Cricut Explore.  Each cupcake was embellished with a strip of Neon Washi tape, a strip of patterned paper and a row of Opaque Adhesive Dots.  I also added a few of the dots to the top of each cupcakes as an embellishment.
A coordinating tag was tied to each gift bag with some Neon Ribbon.  The same ribbon was used to create the banner.  I adhered the ribbon with some Stick-Em Adhesive Dots.  These adhesive dots are one of the best I have ever used.  Although it is hard to see, I finished off my gift bags with a bit of Stickles for the cherries on the cupcakes.
I hoped you enjoyed checking out my projects using my new goodies from Oriental Trading. Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great day!

This review is based strictly on my opinion.  I was provided the samples free of charge by Oriental Trading to provide my honest review.  No other type of compensation was received.  All ideas and opinions are my own.

Happy Easter

The Trendy Twine Design Team has a special post to share today to wish our fans a Happy Easter.  For my project, I created a fun card using the Bunny Babies cutting file from KaDoodle Bug Designs.  The bunny face was stamped with the Peachy Keen Animal Faces stamp set.  I used a couple of different colors of Stickles on the Easter egg to give it some sparkle and shine.  A paper flower was added to the second Easter egg as an accent.
I used some Sky Trendy Twine to create a frame around the bunny with some buttons in each of the corners.  I stamped a sentiment from Scrappy Moms For Peeps Sake stamp set with a bit more twine as an accent.

KaDoodle Bug Designs Challenge

Happy Friday!  Today I am sharing a double page layout over on the KaDoodle Bug Designs blog.  I am hosting the current challenge in the KBD Challenges Facebook group.  The theme for the challenge is Happy Birthday.  March kicks off a series of birthdays for my family so I thought the birthday theme was perfect for this challenge.
My layout page started with the fun and festive DCWV Celebration Paper stack.  I cut the monsters from the KaDoodle Bug Designs Party Monsters cutting file.  A banner from the same file was adhered along the top of the page.  The banner was accented with some patterned paper from the same stack and also with a few stars.
I enlarged the top of the birthday present box from the cutting file and added it to the top of my photo mats to create the appearance of a large present.  The party hats were embossed with the Cuttlebug D'Vine Swirls embossing folder.  Some Stickles were used to accent the paper piecings for a festive touch.  Finishing off my layout was some Lemon Tart Trendy Twine.
Head on over to Facebook to share your birthday themed project for a chance to win a file of your choice.  Just remember to use a file from KaDoodle Bug Designs and share your project by April 7th. Have a great day!

Happy Birthday

I have a fun and festive birthday card to share today based on a sketch over at DCWV.  I found a couple of 6x12 DCWV stacks at Joanns and couldn't resist picking them up for cards.  Here is a picture of the one I used for my card, it's the brights printed stack.
I created my card with several of the patterned papers from this stack.  I used a corner rounder to cut the shape of my squares to match up with the sketch provided by DCWV.  A scalloped circle was adhered to each shape and then layered with a punched cupcake.  The cupcake was popped up on foam dots for added dimension.
The tag was also punched with the Fiskars Tag punch and stamped with the Scrappy Moms Hooray for Birthdays stamp set.  The tag was accented with a bow in Totally Sky Trendy Twine.

Love You Forever Layout

Today I am playing along with the March Stack-a-holic Challenge over at DCWV.  I've been a huge fan of DCWV for a long time and try to play along with their challenges every month.  I have some fun new stacks from DCWV and was very eager to create something.  My layout page is created with the new Watercolor stack, I am obsessed with the gorgeous color combinations, the watercolor theme and the gold foiling in this stack.  I took pictures of my layout at an angle to show the gold foiling.
The page of word sentiments made this layout page super easy to put together.  I cut each sentiment out with my paper cutter and adhered them with my ATG.  I love each of the sayings and have a perfect picture for this page which still needs to be printed.  I tucked in a gold doily from my stash and layered it with a heart which was covered in some gold Stickles.  The tag is also from the same stack, I embellished it with a couple of gold hearts, a hand cut flag and another word sentiment.
Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a fabulous day!

Welcome to another Terrific Tuesday Challenge over at Scrappy Moms Stamps.  The theme for this challenge is "Lucky You" using a shamrock.  For my project, I created a treat holder using a candy tube which I filled with some yummy Rolos.
The tag was cut from the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge.  I used some Stickles to highlight the shamrock.  A second shamrock was adhered to a scalloped circle and placed on the lid of the candy tube.  The sentiment is from the Scrappy Moms Countless Occasions stamp set.  The tag was tied to the tube with some Twisted Lime Trendy Twine.

Trendy Twine Design Day

Hello everyone!  I'm over on the Trendy Twine blog today with a double page layout to share featuring Bumblebee Trendy Twine.  When I was trying to figure out what type of layout I wanted to create, I came across the DCWV The Snapshot Stack in my stash.  I saw the gorgeous, glittery flowers and knew I had to incorporate those into a layout with the Bumblebee twine.  I rarely do any fussy cutting, however, love the look of the fussy cut flowers on my layout.
The Bumblebee twine was the perfect combination of yellow and black.  I wrapped the twine on each of the photo mats and tied it together.  The set of tags were tied with the twine on the middle photo mat.  I also used the twine to accent the polaroid frames and some of the tags on my layout.
The finishing touch on my layout was some coordinating enamel dots scattered on each of the pages.
Thanks so much for stopping by!  Head on over to Annie's Paper Boutique to check out the gorgeous twine used on my layout.  If you are new to Trendy Twine, you will find lots of other crafty goodies in the store too!  Have an awesome day!

The inspiration for my layout came from this gorgeous kraft and pink paper which is from the DCWV Playtime Stack.  I love the sparkle and shine it has.
I found some coordinating papers for the girl's dresses.  I added lots of fun embellishments from my stash including punched flowers with bling, a couple of doilies and some Posy Trendy Twine.
A hand cut banner was added to my layout page for a fun and festive look.  The cupcakes were embossed with the Cuttlebug D'Vine Swirls and Candy Stripes embossing folders.  All of the sentiments are from the Scrappy Moms Hooray for Birthdays stamp set.  I left most of the tag blank to add a note.

Trendy Twine Design Day

Hello everyone!  I'm over on the Trendy Twine blog today with a project to share featuring Bumblebee Trendy Twine.  The design team was challenged to create a project with the "bees are buzzing" theme. I created this simple chap stick holder which contains a tube of Burt's Bees Lip Balm.  The pretty patterned paper is from the DCWV Lemon Flower stack.  The sweet bee was cut from the KaDoodle Bug Designs Little Buggies file.  The face was stamped with the Peachy Keen Happy Lashes Face Assortment stamps.
I used the twine to accent the bee and also created a little trail with the twine.  The sentiment tag was also tied with the twine.  The sentiment is from the Scrappy Moms Gone Buggy stamp set.  The final accent was a few scattered enamel dots.
Thanks so much for stopping by!  Head on over to Annie's Paper Boutique to check out the gorgeous twine used on my project along with lots of other crafty goodies!  Have a wonderful day!

Terrific Tuesday Challenge - Cute as a Bug

Welcome to another Terrific Tuesday Challenge over at Scrappy Moms Stamps.  The theme for this challenge is Cute as a Bug.  This challenge reminds me of Spring so I went to my stash of Doodlebug goodies to create my card.  The patterns and colors from the Doodlebug Springtime collection were perfect for my card.  The three window scalloped edge center was created with my Cricut Explore. The windows were sliced out and layered with a scalloped circle which was cut from the Stamping cartridge.  The scalloped border was cut from the Ribbons and Rosettes cartridge.
I used some cute stickers from the same collection and placed them inside the circles.  In the center circle I stamped a sentiment from the Scrappy Moms Dancing in Circles stamp set.  A few flowers with enamel dot centers were the finishing touch on my card.
Please stop by Scrappy Moms Stamps to check out all of the design team projects and to link up your project to win a stamp set of your choice.  Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
