Dream Big

Hello! I have a 12x12 layout page to share today using one of the new DCWV stacks - Watercolorist. I was immediately drawn to the gorgeous papers, flowers and patterns in this stack.  The sentiments and icons in this stack were the inspiration for my layout page.
I almost used the paper pack exclusively for my layout page and enjoyed fussy cutting all of the flowers and the cut apart sheets for my layout page.  A die cut fence from the Heritage cartridge, some washi, a simple doily and a bit of Totally Pink Trendy Twine brought everything together beautifully.  A small die cut tag was added to the fence and tied with a bit of twine.  The enamel dots were the perfect finishing touch.

You're One Cool Chick!

Hello, today I am sharing a card featuring Gina Marie Designs dies which was inspired by Pinterest. I created the card base with the Chicken Wire Cuttlebug embossing folder and added the Frames - Scalloped Stitched Rectangles right on top.  A grass border punched from the Fiskars Grass Border Punch was adhered on top of the chicken wire background.
Next, I used my distress inks to shade the hen, chicks and eggs from the Hen Die set.  The sun was cut from from the Stitched Sky Die set which was embellished with a small twine bow in Cherry Lemonade Trendy Twine. The sentiment is from the Scrappy Moms Farm Fresh (retired) stamp set. The finishing touch was a scattering of Succulent Enamel Dots, I love the matte finish on them.

Oriental Trading - Graduation Centerpiece

Hello!  Today I am sharing a graduation centerpiece using products from Oriental Trading.  It's that time of year to start planning those graduation events and Oriental Trading has some amazing Graduation Party Supplies.  Since my daughter is graduating from college next month, I created a table centerpiece for her special day.
For my project, I went with a simple yet elegant black and white theme.  I gathered up some basic craft supplies all available from Oriental Trading.
I painted my Wood Tray with some black craft paint to keep with my color theme.  Once the paint was dry,  I lined the tray with a sheet of card stock from the Black & White Monochromatic Paper Pack adhering it with the Glue Dots.  The Black Rolled Jewel trim was cut in half and adhered around the jars for a decorative look using my Glue Dots. The Glue Dots secured the trim perfectly and are transparent so the adhesive doesn't show through the trim.
Next, I created some rosettes and embellishments using more papers from the same pack and Black Card Stock.  I used several different dies from my stash to cut out the various embellishments. I also used my electronic die cutter to cut out the "2017" and "Congrats Grad" sentiments.  The black card stock cut perfectly on the light card stock setting.  A bit of washi tape was used to embellish the "2017" flag.  A few graduation caps from the Class of 2017 Confetti pack were added as embellishments on the die cuts.
Once the rosettes were put together, I used the Glue Dots to adhere them to the coordinating Paper Straws.  The straws were tucked into the glass jars with some paper shred to keep them in place.
I hoped you enjoyed checking out my projects. These items are available in the Scrapbooking & Paper Crafting Store, the Craft Supplies Store and from the Graduation Party Supplies all from Oriental Trading. Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a fabulous day!

This review is based strictly on my opinion.  I was provided the samples free of charge by Oriental Trading to provide my honest review.  No other type of compensation was received.  All ideas and opinions are my own.

Congrats

Today I have a shaker style card to share which I created for a baby shower.  I used the DCWV Watercolor Florals stack for all of the papers.  The papers were perfect for all of the manual dies I used on my card.
The base of my card was cut with the Nested Scalloped Stitched Rectangle Die from Gina Marie Designs.  I used an unbranded window die for the shaker part of my card. The tiny bird was also cut from a die in my stash.  I ended up cutting it in 3 different colors for each of the windows.  The "congrats" is cut from a My Craft Spot (retired) die.  Several different sequins were used for each of the windows and mixed in with some iridescent sequins.

GMD - A Little Note

Hello!  I am excited to announce that I am one of the newest designers over at Gina Marie Designs! I am a huge fan of Gina's dies and her awesome prices!  It's an honor to have this amazing opportunity to work with such gorgeous dies.  For my first project as a designer, I used the Nature Birdhouse Die on my card.  The die is intricate, however it cut perfectly!  I simply ran the Nature Birdhouse die through my Cut n' Boss and colored it with my distress inks.  I used some GMD Olive Green Rhinestones as the flower centers.
The Nested - Scalloped Stitched Rectangles and the Stitched Rectangles also from Gina Marie Designs were used for the card base.  The papers are from the My Minds Eye Follow Your Heart paper pad and were the inspiration for my card.  The sentiment is from the Scrappy Moms More Mini Messages (retired) stamp set.  A bow in Krazy for Kraft Trendy Twine was the finishing accent on my card.
Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a fantastic day!

DCWV Moment Maker Planner System

Hello crafty friends!  Today I am sharing a multi pocket dashboard with a shaker element.  The pocket page came inside the DCWV Moment Maker Planner System Starter Kit. I liked how each section has it's own pocket which can easily be switched out to add other elements or even pictures.
For my dashboard, I used papers from several different DCWV stacks, the mix of colors and patterns worked perfectly.  I kept with the black, white and gold theme which I am using for the front of my planner.   I even created a shaker pocket by simply adding some sequins.  The DCWV Sticker Sheets were the perfect embellishments for each pocket.  I used a bit of washi tape and several different dies for the die cuts inside each of the pockets.

DCWV - April Stack-a-holic Challenge

Hello! There's a new DCWV Stack-a-holic Challenge for April up on DCWV Facebook fan page. I was inspired by this month's layout sketch to create this 12x12 page.  All of the papers are from the DCWV Rose Quartz stack.  The rose colored papers are so dreamy in this stack, I just couldn't wait to create with them.
I used my stash of dies for many of the elements on my layout page including the doilies, flowers, tag and banner.  I die cut the flowers with several different papers and layered them for lots of dimension. The cut out pages provided the perfect inspirational quotes for my layout.  The photo corners were punched from a Fiskars punch.  The arrow word title is a SVG file cut with my Cricut Explore.  A bit of Totally White Trendy Twine was the finishing accent on my layout.
Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a wonderfully crafty day!

Craftwell - For Peep's Sake

Hello! Today I have a sweet Easter card to share over on the Craftwell blog using my eBrush and Cut 'n' Boss.
For my project, I selected a sheet of bunny paper which was the inspiration for my entire project.  I found some textured paper in my stash which coordinated perfectly with the bunny paper.  A SVG file was used to cut out the 3 bunnies with my Cricut Explore.
Each of the bunnies were shaded using my eBrush.  I opted to use my Sharpies knowing I always have the perfect colors in my craft stash.
A couple of dies and my Cut 'n' Boss were perfect for creating the base layers of my card.  I used the Loopy Rectangles Die Set from Gina Marie Designs for the double card bases.  Next, I ran the die cut heart through the Cut 'n' Boss using the Teresa Collins Design Grids embossing folder. The layers for my card were attached together using my ATG.
The little bunnies looked a bit plain so I added some tiny black pearls for their faces.  A tie and a couple of flowers were adhered to the bunnies with my Glue Dots.  I love the removable dots since I was unsure of keeping the flowers on the bunnies.  In the end, I liked the look of the flowers.

Sprinkled with Love

Hello!  Today I have fun layout page to share created with the new DCWV Good Eats stack.  It is definitely one of the most delicious stacks created by DCWV.  I was immediately drawn to the donuts and sprinkles theme which was the inspiration for my layout page.  However, once I began to put my layout together, the sprinkle theme seemed a bit overwhelming.  I opted to use a page from the DCWV Confetti stack which was just as fun.
I used my Cricut Explore to cut the title and the larger donuts on my layout page.  The smaller donuts were die cut with a circle die from the patterned page in the stack. The Fiskars Scallop Sentiment Punch was used to create the border between the patterned papers.  I shaded my die cuts with my eBrush and popped them up on foam dots for added dimension.  A sentiment from the Scrappy Moms Ice Cream Social (retired) stamp set was the finishing touch on my layout page.
Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a fantastic day!

DCWV - Moment Maker Planner System

Hello!  Today I have another peek inside my DCWV Moment Maker Planner.  I used the weekly planner pages for my layout this week and am sharing some "before the ink" pictures.
To create this week's spread, I gathered up my supplies which included some beautiful DCWV papers, my DCWV 6-Hole Punch and some Glue Dots "Stitch Glue Squares" for adhering everything inside my planner.
The cut out page from this stack had the perfect journaling tag for my planner.  I dressed it up with a bit of washi tape.  A paper flower from my stash was adhered to a gold paper clip to create a coordinating planner clip.  My Glue Dots were perfect for securing the flower to the clip and they also worked great for the back of the "laugh" sentiment.
Once my journaling tag was complete, I fussy cut some flowers from the new DCWV Watercolorist stack which were the inspiration for my planner layout.  A few strips of paper from the same stack were adhered along the top and bottom edge of my pages.
I used the Paper Lace cartridge to cut out the numbers for the dates and the title of the month using the DCWV Watercolor Ombre stack.  A bit more washi with a fun sentiment were adhered on my Saturday.  It's always awesome to look forward to that "me time".   I adhered a lined DCWV Sticky Note on my page for my Monday "to do list".
Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a fantastic day!

Craftwell - Bookmark

Happy Monday! Today I have a bookmark to share over on the Craftwell blog.  The design team was challenged to use the mustard yellow color for a project this month.  This color theme inspired me to create a bright and cheery bookmark for my project.
I found the perfect papers in the new DCWV Watercolor Garden stack.  I punched out some paper flowers using some scraps and found some coordinating embroidery floss. Unfortunately, none of my twine colors coordinated with the mustard yellow challenge.  To create a finished edge on my bookmark, I used my Cut 'n' Boss and a die from my collection.
The next step was to shade everything using my eBrush.  I intentionally used a light to dark shaded affect on my papers to keep everything from blending together.  This technique also helps to provide dimension to each of the layers, especially with the flowers.
I adhered the sentiment tag and a couple of decorative strips to the bookmark.  My Glue Dots were perfect for layering my flowers.
A few bling stickers finished off each of the flowers.  I used the Sizzix Twist & Style Tool to create the twisted embroidery floss for my bookmark.  The different shades in the embroidery floss work beautifully with my bookmark.  Even with a monochromatic theme, the eBrush helps to provide extra depth and dimension.
Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a wonderfully crafty day!
