Enjoy Layout

Hello!  I am excited to share that I'm joining Cottage Cutz as their guest designer for the next 2 months. For those that are not familiar with Cottage Cutz, they have a lot of amazing products and I'm a huge fan of their dies.  You can check out the wonderful selection of products in their shop.  For my project, I was inspired to create a single, 12x12 layout page.
I used the patterned paper as the inspiration for the colors of my die cuts.  The Pumpkin Pie & Latte dies were pieced together and placed on a Stitched Circle.  I added a fun sentiment from the Fall Phrases die set.  Grouping the die cuts together with a sentiment created a fun and interesting element on this layout page.
A couple of decorative tags were tucked in behind the photo mat.  The tags were cut from the Mail Tag set and are perfect for journaling.  A couple of leaves were added to each of the tags as a decorative element.
A bit of Creamy Pumpkin Trendy Twine was tied to each of the tags as a cheery accent for each of the tags.
Here are the Cottage Cutz dies used on my project:

All Things Grow With Love Card

Happy Friday!  Today I have a quick card to share which I created for the challenge going on over at Pink and Main.  I used the Seeds of Kindness stamp set and watercolored the image.  The center of the watering can was paper pieced with the pink polka dot paper to give my project an extra pop of color.  A bit of Wink of Stella was added to the flower centers for a sparkly affect.
I cut out the image with a circle die and layered it on a banner die cut.  A sentiment from the same Pink and Main stamp set was stamped on the base of my card.  The finishing accent were some coordinating enamel dots.
Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a fabulous day!

Trendy Twine - Be Merry

Hello!  Today I have a Christmas card to share over on the Trendy Twine blog. The inspiration for my card was the adorable shaker ornament created from the Cottage Cutz Nested Ornament Ball dies.  I created 2 ornaments so I could use one as a gift tag.  To create the ornament shaker,  I used 2 different sized dies to cut out the ornament frame.  I filled my ornament with some Peppermint Stick sequins.  The sequins were also adhered to the front of my card.
I used some Holly Trendy Twine as an embellishment on my ornament and on the edge of the card. A tiny Glue Dot was added to the back of the ornament to secure it on my card.  The sentiment is from the APB Merry & Bright stamp set.

May All Your Wishes Come True

Hello!  Today I am sharing a card that I created using scraps of paper left over from other projects and several different dies from my stash.  The lavender and polka dot papers are from the DCWV Watercolor Ombre stack which were the inspiration for my card.  I die cut a circle using the CottageCutz Stitched Circle Set and then sliced parts of the circle with the same die.  I laid the sliced pieces to create a patchwork circle with the polka dotted peek through pattern.  The doily was die cut and layered underneath the circle.
For the base of my card, I adhered two different colors and ran them through my manual die cutter using a postage stamp die.  The flower was also die cut then rolled, pinched and layered for the 3D effect.  A sentiment from the Pink & Main Dandelion Stamp Set finished off my card.

Craftwell - For Peep's Sake

Hello! Today I have a sweet Easter card to share over on the Craftwell blog using my eBrush and Cut 'n' Boss.
For my project, I selected a sheet of bunny paper which was the inspiration for my entire project.  I found some textured paper in my stash which coordinated perfectly with the bunny paper.  A SVG file was used to cut out the 3 bunnies with my Cricut Explore.
Each of the bunnies were shaded using my eBrush.  I opted to use my Sharpies knowing I always have the perfect colors in my craft stash.
A couple of dies and my Cut 'n' Boss were perfect for creating the base layers of my card.  I used the Loopy Rectangles Die Set from Gina Marie Designs for the double card bases.  Next, I ran the die cut heart through the Cut 'n' Boss using the Teresa Collins Design Grids embossing folder. The layers for my card were attached together using my ATG.
The little bunnies looked a bit plain so I added some tiny black pearls for their faces.  A tie and a couple of flowers were adhered to the bunnies with my Glue Dots.  I love the removable dots since I was unsure of keeping the flowers on the bunnies.  In the end, I liked the look of the flowers.
Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a spectacular day!

I layered the frame on a couple die cut Stitched Ovals from CottageCutz.  Everything was layered on a base frame cut with Gina Marie Designs Loopy Rectangles Die Set.  I just love being able to combine different dies from my stash to create the perfect layered look.  The base layer papers are from the DCWV Watercolor Ombre stack.

Craftwell - Valentine's Home Decor

Hello, today I am sharing a Valentine's home decor project over on the Craftwell blog.  I picked up this wooden frame from Michaels and it has been awaiting a makeover for some time now.  I plan to display it in my craft room and change it out for different holidays.
To create my project, I die cut some hearts, scalloped circles and 2 sets of XO letters using my electronic die cutter.  The scalloped circles were embossed with the Delicate Dots embossing folder. Next, I used my Cut 'n' Boss to die cut several small hearts with the Teresa Collins Pocket Dies.  I also die cut some circles in 2 different sizes.
When I laid my circles down, everything looked flat so I created a rosette and tucked it between the 2 layers of circles.  The rosette provided the perfect amount of dimension and pop of color.  Now that I had my vision for my home decor project, I used my Xyron Small Sticker Maker and adhered the letters to the scalloped circles.
The die cut hearts were shaded with my eBrush for some added dimension.  Since I was working with solid red paper I used a darker color Sharpie for the shading.
The final layout of my banner with each of the components came together just as I had envisioned. Even though the rosettes were a bit tedious to put together, I love the final product.
I added each piece of the banner to the wooden frame using a clothespin.  The die cut hearts were added to the bottom clothesline of the frame.  A couple of kraft paper flowers were used to embellish the hearts.
Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a fantastic day!

A couple of hearts were cut from the Cottage Cutz Stitched Heart Set and layered over the doily.  The sentiment and heart border are from the APB You & Me stamp set which were stamped on a coordinating red "tag its".  I tucked in a couple of treats using the skinny candy bags.  The finishing touch was a couple of twine accents in Totally Red Trendy Twine.

DCWV - December Challenge

Hello!  It's the beginning of the month and that means it's time for another challenge over at DCWV. For this month's challenge we have a special "mood board" challenge just in time for the holidays. Here is the mood board that was provided to the design team.
When I saw this gorgeous mix of images, colors and patterns, I was immediately inspired to thumb through my DCWV Christmas Plaid stack to create this layout page.  All of the papers are from the same stack with the exception of the reindeer and spruce stems which were cut from the DCWV All About Christmas Stack.  The reindeer was cut from the Winter Woodland cartridge and the spruce stems are Cottage Cutz dies. The gold doilies are from the DCWV 4x4 Paper Lace Stack.
I can't help but love all of the gold foil in these papers, it is hard to photograph but so elegant.  I went to my stash of embellishments and scattered a few snowflakes amongst the doilies.  Several punched branches and berries were also adhered along the edges of the photo mat.  The final finishing touch was some Holly Berry Trendy Twine.  I can't wait to add a picture of my families annual Christmas Eve get together.  I know this layout page will display one of those memories perfectly!
Head on over to DCWV to check out all of the design team projects and for details on how to enter this month's challenge for a chance to win a DCWV stack.  Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a wonderful day!
