DCWV - Wall Decor Frame

Hello!  Today I have a home decor project to share over on the DCWV blog which I created for a photo wall. I am completely obsessed with frame gallery walls right now and wanted to create something for my wall. I am also looking forward to incorporating the new DCWV Letterboard frames into my photo wall. For my project, I used the DCWV 12x12 set of 5 Premium Papers - Brown Multipack available at Joann.com.  I love the combination of Corrugate, Laser Cut, Glitter and Shimmer papers in this pack of papers, they coordinate perfectly.  I fussy cut flowers from the Laser Cut page and inked the edges for added dimension.  The fussy cut flowers were adhered to the Corrugate background and embellished with a simple pearl sticker.
I used the Shimmer and Glitter Sheets to cut out the dress form and flower using my electronic die cutter.  The tiny flower was layered on top of a bow made from some crinkle ribbon.  The dress form was adhered with foam dots for added dimension.  I added a tag punched from the Fiskars Tag punch which was embossed with the Cuttlebug Kassie's Brocade embossing folder.  A few die cut hearts and a bit of washi tape were added as decorative elements.
I adhered the Currogate decor to a piece of burlap from the DCWV Burlap Natural Stack.  A bit of burlap ribbon was tied to a 12x12 basic frame and finished off with a bow created with some jute.
Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a wonderful day!

Trendy Twine Design Day

Today I have a fun project to share over on the Trendy Twine blog.  The trendy gals have been showcasing the gorgeous Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine and the Biggie Candy Chutes from Annie's Paper Boutique.  It has been so gloomy in Northern California for the past week I wanted to create something that reminds me of Spring and warmth.
For my project I created this large flower from the Flower Shoppe cartridge and added a sparkly gem to the center.  The flower was tied to the top of the candy chute.
The twine was wrapped around the candy chute as an accent and then tied to the tag.  The tag came from my stash and was stamped with a sentiment from the Scrappy Moms Filled with Love stamp set.  I added some washi tape along the top and bottom of the tag and accented it with some pink sequins also from Annie's Paper Boutique.

Craftin Desert Diva's "Anything Goes" Linky Party

Welcome to another Craftin Desert Diva's Linky Party.  The theme for this linky party is anything goes.  For my project I created a double page 12x12 layout.
This layout was created using four cartridges; Holiday Cakes for the doily, Cricut Essentials for the flourishes, Gypsy Wanderings for the title and Flower Shoppe for all of the flowers.  All of the die cuts were inked on the edges.  The Textile Cuttlebug embossing folder was used on the flag and title for added dimension.  Coordinating twine bows made from Nautical Trendy Twine were used as an embellishment.
The flag was hand cut, embossed and embellished with some crinkle ribbon and flowers.  Each of the flowers were accented with Stickles for the center.
The layout was finished off with this hand cut tag which was punched with the Fiskars Scalloped Daisy Embossing punch on one end.  A coordinating button was added to the tag.
We have some awesome sponsors for this linky party:

Life Layout

For this layout, I went into my stash for many of the items.  The doily was cut from the Holiday Cakes cartridge and the flowers from the Flower Shoppe cartridge.
The title was created using chipboard letters which were also in my stash of goodies.  They coordinated perfectly with the paper.
The border was punched from the Martha Stewart Doily Lace border punch.  I inked it on the edges.
A small paper button was left over from another project so I added it to the center of the flower with a touch of Stormy Trendy Twine.  The small photo mat was also outlined with the twine.
Some paper flowers with pearl centers along with layered flower stickers were used as embellishments.
The "Live Laugh Love" sentiment was added to a hand cut flag and accented with a few more flowers.
A couple of journaling tags also from my stash were tucked behind the photo mats.  I added some twine to each of the tags.

True Love Layout

This single page layout was created using Gypsy Wanderings for the title, Holiday Cakes for the doily and Flower Shoppe for the flowers.
The Martha Stewart Doily Lace border punch was used on the top and bottom of the layout.  Lemon Tart Trendy Twine was used to accent the flower banners.
The negative piece from the heart in the title was outlined with Nautical Trendy Twine and used as an embellishment.
The flags were cut by hand to create the banner along the bottom of the photo mat.  Some more twine was used to adhere the banner together.

Beauty Layout

This layout was created using the Holiday Cakes cartridge for the doily, Cricut Essentials for the buttons and Flower Shoppe for the flowers.
I layered my doily on top of another doily from my stash and split the two in half to use on each of the pages.
The border on the sides of the layout was created by using the Martha Stewart Arch Lattice and Diamond Fence Trim punches.  The two borders were adhered together.
The title was a chipboard sticker from my stash which was added to a large hand cut flag and embellished with Posy Trendy Twine.
Several coordinating chipboard stickers were added throughout the two pages.  I used a couple of journaling tags on my layout and added a couple of them to my hand cut tags behind the photo mats.
A ribbon trim from my stash was used on the photo mats.  A few paper flowers, buttons and twine bows finished off the layout.

Smile Layout

This layout was originally designed to be a single page layout, however, I added a symmetrical page to make it a double page layout with two photo mats.
The title was cut from the Gypsy Wanderings cartridge and the flowers from the Flower Shoppe cartridge.
The title was cut twice and adhered with foam pop dots between the two layers for added dimension.  A flower from my stash was added to the title.
The chipboard sentiment came from my stash and was added to a hand cut flag.  Most of the cuts were inked on the edges.
The flowers were also popped up on foam dots and embellished with a bling center.  Blue Berry Trendy Twine was added to create a stem for the flowers.
Another hand cut flag was added to the second page of the layout and finished off with a triple twine bow.
The scalloped circles around the photo mats were punched from a 1 inch scallop punch.

Laughter and Smiles Layout

Today I am sharing a springtime layout which started with a sketch from Pinterest that I slightly modified to make it my own.
The title was cut from the Cheerful Seasons cartridge, the octagons from George and Basic Shapes and a few of the flower from Flower Shoppe!
The die cuts were inked on the edges for added dimension.  Stormy Trendy Twine with a double bow was added to the photo mats.
Several different paper flowers in coordinating colors with pearl sticker centers were added to the layout.
The tag was hand cut and embossed with the Modern Wallpaper Cuttlebug embossing folder.  The "perfect" sentiment chipboard came from my stash and was adhered to burlap.  The tag was embellished with some tulle, jute, ribbon, flowers and a twine bow.
