Trendy Twine Design Day

Today is my design day over at Trendy Twine and this month we are showcasing our solid twines. My project features Totally Blue which is one of my favorite solid color twines.  For my project, I created a cute little purse cut from the Forever Young cartridge.  I only have a sneak peek for you so pop over to Trendy Twine to check out my project.
My purse was embellished with a twine flower, a couple of paper flowers and a bling center.  A small twine bow was added to the purse handle.  I love the way the blue twine pops against the floral purse. I tucked in a sentiment on a hand cut flag from the Scrappy Moms Mini Messages stamp set.  Come join our fun new challenge going on this month.  Also, don't forget to check out the store for lots of crafty products.

All Dressed Up Layout

I am continuing my week of sharing new projects since I am home from work during my kid's Spring break. This layout was created with the Forever Young cartridge for all of the die cuts with the exception of the flourishes in the corners which were cut from Letter Envy.
The four photo mats for this layout were embossed with the Heritage Cuttlebug embossing folder.  The embossing folders add a nice texture to the layout.
I used lots of bling to embellish this layout to compliment the die cuts including a bling flourish which was added to the title.
A little bit of Grape Fizz Trendy Twine was used on the hat and on the purse handle.

Forever Young Tag

Since I have been playing around with the Forever Young cartridge I had a few cuts left over from other projects which I used to create this tag.  Both the tag and the silhouette were cut from Forever Young.
I started with a white tag and inked it to create an antique look.  I added a strip of patterned paper from my scraps at the bottom of the tag which was punched with a Martha Stewart border punch.  The same paper and punch were used to create the tiny doily under the button.
The tag was embellished with a button, a twine bow and a flower from my stash.  I also used some pearls on the tag and on the silhouette.
The tag was finished off by adding some tulle at the top of the tag and tying it with some twine.  This was a quick and simple projects using items I had laying around my scrap room.
For the Pause Dream Enjoy challenge, I wrote my major purchase on the back of the tag which was an iPad, purchased just a couple of days ago.

Make a Wish Card

I have been having fun playing with the Forever Young cartridge which has such a variety of "girly" cuts on it.  For this birthday card, I cut out the silhouette and popped her up on foam dots for added dimension.
I added some pearl bling to the silhouette to dress her up.  An EK Success punch was used to create the rick rack patterned border at the bottom of the card.
I used a sentiment from some dollar stamps and embellished my sentiment tag with some twine.  I also used my white gel pen to add some doodling to my card.
The flower at the top of the card was a cut out on the blank card.  I simply added a contrasting pink scrap to the inside of the card and added a pearl center with some doodling as an embellishment.

Ooh La La Layout and Winner

This 12x12 double layout was made using the Forever Young cartridge.  This layout was created to scrapbook some fun pictures of my daughter "posing."  I just love to memorialize the fun aspects of my kids personalities at certain points in their lives.  I don't think I could get her to pose for me now even though the pictures for this layout were just take about a year and half ago.
The silhouettes and tag were both cut from the Forever Young cartridge.  On the second page of the layout, I took the negative cut from the tag and added the "ooh la la" as the title and embellished it with my white gel pen.
Instead of cutting out the clothes for the models, I left them as silhouettes.  This also kept the layout from looking too busy.  For a decorative element, I made a loop with some ribbon and added it to each of my photo mats.  This will also be used to pull out the journaling tag.
I used an EK Success border punch to create the edge on the animal print border.  The same punch was used to create the border at the bottom of the tag.  The tag was embellished with some pearls, paper flowers, twine, ribbon and tulle.
The silhouettes and "ooh la la" title were popped up on foam for added dimension. The silhouettes were also embellished with some pearls.

Our Group Layout

This layout was created using Forever Young, Formal Occasion, and Paisley Cricut cartridges.
The title was cut from Formal Occasion.
The dress on the hanger was cut from Paisley.
Both purses were cut from Forever Young. The extra flowers in the layout and on the photo mats were also cut from Forever Young.  The flowers are multiple cuts of the flower on the white purse.  I added an extra layer to the flowers along with bling.
Coordinating ribbon was added to the photo mats for a little detail.  All cuts are popped up on foam dots.
White and black gel pens were used for additional detailing and for finishing touches.  I used scraps from the layout to make a coordinating card.
The dress and the title were both cut from Paisley and popped up on foam dots.
