Hello! Today I am sharing a graduation centerpiece using products from Oriental Trading. It's that time of year to start planning those graduation events and Oriental Trading has some amazing Graduation Party Supplies. Since my daughter is graduating from college next month, I created a table centerpiece for her special day.
For my project, I went with a simple yet elegant black and white theme. I gathered up some basic craft supplies all available from Oriental Trading.
I painted my Wood Tray with some black craft paint to keep with my color theme. Once the paint was dry, I lined the tray with a sheet of card stock from the Black & White Monochromatic Paper Pack adhering it with the Glue Dots. The Black Rolled Jewel trim was cut in half and adhered around the jars for a decorative look using my Glue Dots. The Glue Dots secured the trim perfectly and are transparent so the adhesive doesn't show through the trim.
Next, I created some rosettes and embellishments using more papers from the same pack and Black Card Stock. I used several different dies from my stash to cut out the various embellishments. I also used my electronic die cutter to cut out the "2017" and "Congrats Grad" sentiments. The black card stock cut perfectly on the light card stock setting. A bit of washi tape was used to embellish the "2017" flag. A few graduation caps from the Class of 2017 Confetti pack were added as embellishments on the die cuts.
Once the rosettes were put together, I used the Glue Dots to adhere them to the coordinating Paper Straws. The straws were tucked into the glass jars with some paper shred to keep them in place.
I hoped you enjoyed checking out my projects. These items are available in the Scrapbooking & Paper Crafting Store, the Craft Supplies Store and from the Graduation Party Supplies all from Oriental Trading. Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a fabulous day!
This review is based strictly on my opinion. I was provided the samples free of charge by Oriental Trading to provide my honest review. No other type of compensation was received. All ideas and opinions are my own.

Good Luck Graduate Layout

Here is another layout I created to scrapbook pictures of my son's 8th grade graduation. I used the Happy Graduation Seasonal cartridge for the title and the Recess Lite cartridge for all of the other die cuts.
The background paper is from the DCWV High School stack and it seemed to be the perfect paper for this layout.
The title did not have a shadow on the cartridge so I created my own shadow by cutting the title out twice in different colored card stock and off setting the layers.
Once again I used my white gel pen to add lots of doodling and stitching to the layout. The tassels were created with Blue Berry Trendy Twine and attached with a brad at the center of the graduation cap. A little bit of glue helped to hold the tassel in place. I also outlined the bow on top of the diploma with the twine and added a button to the center. The diploma was embossed with the Sizzix Diamonds embossing folder.
I created a couple of hand cut flags to add sentiments to each of the pages. The sentiments are from the Scrappy Moms "Mini Messages" stamp set.
For the graduate, I used my Gypsy to hide the facial features and instead used my Peachy Keen "Wide Eyed Kids" stamps. I also added a little bit of chalk to the cheeks and a couple of brads to his graduation gown.

Graduation Layout

This is the first of two graduation layouts I created for pictures of my son who is graduating from the 8th grade this week. I used the Happy Graduation Seasonal cartridge for all of the die cuts.
Although Happy Graduation was an easy cartridge to cut from and layer with, I'm not too pleased with the die cuts. The owl eyes looked a little freaky so I ended up adding some black bling over them.
I had this scholastic themed paper which has lots of educational facts on it and it seemed to be perfect for a graduation layout.
This layout got lots of doodling and stitching with my white gel pen. Since the colors were kept very simple to stay with the school colors, the layout seemed to need the extra touches of my white gel pen.
I also added some black bling to the graduation caps and then made some twine tassels from Holly Green Trendy Twine. I love the look of the twine for the tassels, I think it adds such a fun element to the layout.
Some of the die cuts were popped up on foam for added dimension.
A couple of twine bows on the diplomas finished off the layout.

I used foam dots to pop up the graduation cap for some dimension and added a bling to the center of the cap. I created a tassel with Holly Green Trendy Twine and also added some twine at the top of the card.
