Craftin Desert Diva's Back to School Linky Party

Welcome to another Craftin Desert Diva's Linky Party.  The theme for this linky party is back to school.  For my project I created a single page 12x12 layout.
I went to my stash of scrapbooking goodies and found some fun chipboard stickers which I used for the title.  The chipboard pencil was perfect under the title.  I also added chipboard sentiments to hand cut flags along the photo mat.
A tag for journaling was tucked in the side and inked on the edges, using a dauber and ink from one of our sponsors, ClearSnap.  Some coordinating Cherry Lemonade Trendy Twine was added to the tag and photo mat.  I also added ink to the 12x12 page and to the middle flag for a pop of color.  The stack of books with the apple was cut from the Hello Kitty Greetings cartridge.  The crayons are also from my stash of stickers.
We have some awesome sponsors for this linky party:

My Scrap Chick - $10 coupon code

Craftin Desert Diva's "Glitter" Linky Party

Happy Monday!  I super excited to announce that Tara from Craftin Desert Diva's has asked me to join her design team.  This month's linky party theme is glitter.  I have a one page 12x12 layout to share with some sparkle.  I used the Hello Kitty Greetings cartridge for all of the die cuts on my layout.
The grass was punched using the Fiskars Grass punch.  I inked most of of the die cuts for added dimension and used foam dots to pop them up.  I added Stickles to the butterflies and to Hello Kitty's outfit and bow.  A small hand cut flag was stamped with a sentiment from the Scrappy Moms Just Sayin stamp set and attached with Blue Berry Trendy Twine.  The twine was also used on the photo mats.  A couple of bling butterflies were the finishing touch.
We have some awesome sponsors this month: Too Cute by Jessica, The Robin's Nest and Timeless Twine.  Stop by Craftin Desert Divas to check out all of the inspiring projects from the DT and join in the linky party!

You Make My Heart Flutter Card

I created this little tag with a couple of challenges in mind.  I took the winter themed tag and added a fun twist to it by adding some hearts along with a fun sentiment.  The snowman was cut from the Hello Kitty Greetings cartridge and pop dotted on a hand cut tag.  I inked the tag on the edges and added some coordinating ribbon.  A small pom pom was created with Holly Berry Trendy Twine to top off the snowman's hat.  I used some Candy Cane Trendy Twine to string along between the snowman's arms.  The small hearts were cut from the My Creative Time Stitched Heart Layering Dies.
The snowman's face was stamped with a Peachy Keen Face stamp.  I finished my tag off with a small hand cut flag stamped with a sentiment from the Scrappy Moms Crazy for You stamp set.  The tag was inked on the edges and embellished with a couple of sequins.

Trendy Twine Design Day

For the Trendy Twine group design day we are sharing snowman tags featuring Candy Cane and Holly Berry twine which are both on sale this month.  The red and green twists are perfect for those holiday creations.
For my project, I cut the tag from the Tags, Bags, Boxes and More cartridge, the snowman from Hello Kitty Greetings and the snowflakes from the Paper Trimmings cartridge.  I created a braided scarf, a pom pom for the hat and a bow for my tag using Holly Berry Trendy Twine.  I used the Peachy Keen Happy Lashes face stamp for the snowman's face with a little bit of coloring and chalk.  He was finished off with a couple of little buttons from my stash.
This month we have a another fun challenge so come share your projects with us.  Also, remember to check out the store for gifts for the crafters in your life.

Guest Designer for Trendy Twine

To enter my "Blogaversary Giveaway," please click here.

Hello my crafty friends, today I am very excited to have the opportunity to be a guest designer over at Trendy Twine.  I am even more excited to be a member of this fabulous Design Team beginning in July, however, I agreed to be a guest designer long before I even applied for the Design Team.
I created this two page 12x12 layout to showcase the Blue Berry Trendy Twine.  This twine is a twist of dark blue, light blue and white and is so beautiful as an embellishment on paper crafts.
This layout was created using the Hello Kitty Greetings cartridge for all of the die cuts.
I popped up this bouquet of balloons on foam dots for added dimension and outlined the balloons with some twine.  The strings were then tied together with a little bow.
The twine was also used for the balloon strings on the layout and on top of the presents.
The flags were cut by hand and stamped with sentiments from the Scrappy Moms "Mini Messages" stamp set.  For the larger flag, I simply stamped "Happy Birthday" three times to create a banner at the bottom of the layout.
Also, remember Trendy Twine has another fun challenge with the "You Make Our Hearts Flutter" theme. To enter the challenge you will need to create a project incorporating a bird or butterfly, 3 buttons, and some Trendy Twine.  The winner will receive 50 yards of Blue Berry Trendy Twine.  Thanks for stopping by I will be back over at Trendy Twine as a guest designer next week too.

Road Trip Layout

Today I have another layout to share which was created using Hello Kitty Greetings, Hello Kitty Font and Letter Envy cartridges.  The car, luggage, butterflies and flowers were cut from the Hello Kitty Greetings cartridge.  The title was cut from the Hello Kitty Font cartridge and the arrows were cut from Letter Envy.
To break up the patterned background, I added a solid green piece of card stock in the center of the layout which has a border punched with the Fiskars Effervescence border punch.
I used two layers of card stock for the photo mats and layered a strip of patterned card stock from my scraps on top of the photo mats.  They were finished off with some ribbon.
All of the die cuts were popped up on foam for added dimension and embellished with faux stitching and some doodling with my white gel pen.  A little bit of bling was added to the flowers and butterflies.
I used some Halloween Orange Licorice Trendy Twine to accent the luggage pieces and the Hello Kitty car.  The orange and black twine added the perfect accent to the die cuts.
