Memories of Christmas Past and a Giveaway

Today we have a special post and a fun giveaway to share over on the Scrappy Moms Stamps blog. Each of the DT members is sharing one of their favorite past Christmas creations.  It was a bit of a challenge for me to pick out a project so I chose this fun layout page which I shared last year on my blog.  You can head over here for more details on this project if you would like.  As many of you know, I love creating layout pages and this one features some adorable sentiments from the Scrappy Moms Stamps Picture Perfect stamp set.  This layout also has a few of my other favorite elements which includes the color pink, Peachy Keen Stamps, some Trendy Twine and lots of embellishments!
I hope you enjoyed taking another peek at a layout page I created last year.  Now head on over to the Scrappy Moms Stamps blog and comment (sharing a favorite DT project or technique) to win a stamp set of your choice.   Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a fabulous day!

Trendy Twine Design Day

Merry Christmas Eve!  I am back over on the Trendy Twine blog with a fun and whimsical layout in anticipation of some sweet Christmas pictures tomorrow.  Over the past month as I was working on my holiday creations, I stashed away some extra die cuts for this layout.
The gingerbread men were cut from Just Because Cards, the elf from Jolly Holidays, the penguins from Simply Charmed and the snowmen heads from Joys of the Season.  I used Peachy Keen Stamps for their adorable faces.
A die from my stash was used for the sentiment tags.  All of the sentiments are from the Scrappy Moms Picture Perfect stamp set.  The sentiment tags were accented with some pearl stickers.
My layout was embellished with touches of Tickled Pink Trendy Twine.  It was the perfect accent for my non-traditional layout.
The snowflakes were created from different punches in my stash.  I added a few pink sequins from Annie's Paper Boutique to each of the pages.
Don't forget to stop by the store to check out all of the amazing twine colors, many are still on sale this month.  You will also find lots of products for all of your crafting needs.  Thanks so much for stopping by and have a Merry Christmas.  I hope to see you back here tomorrow as I will be part of a special Christmas Day post along with the rest of the Trendy Twine Design Team.

Trendy Twine Christmas Tin Blog Hop

Good morning and welcome to the Trendy Twine Christmas Tin Blog Hop a perfect way to start December and the special 12 Days of Christmas celebration!  The Trendy Twine design team will be WOWing you all with creative gift giving ideas using Trendy Twine as well as other products found in the Trendy Twine store.  But we will have more on that tomorrow.  Today the design team is showcasing all of the different tins that are offered in the Trendy Twine store and getting you in the gift giving mood!  So sit back, grab your favorite beverage and get ready to be inspired!

For my project, I altered a round treat tin.  I wrapped my tin with some washi tape and then double wrapped some Cherry Limeade Trendy Twine.  A small bow with a couple of jingle bells finished off the bottom of my treat tin.  I filled it up with some yummy M&M's.
For the top, I cut out an ornament and snowman face from the Joys of the Season cartridge to create a shaker ornament.  The snowman was stamped with a Peachy Keen Face stamp.  I added some holly to his hat using a Martha Stewart punch.  A few scattered snowflakes were adhered to the back of the ornament which was embossed with the Darice Snowflake embossing folder.
Iridescent sequins were added to the ornament.  A double bow in Cherry Limeade and an adorable chevron Trendy Page Dot embellished my ornament.
The hand cut tag has a sweet sentiment from the Scrappy Moms Mini Messages stamp set.  I adhered the ornament to the lid of the tin so it will stay attached. Your next stop on the hop is Shelly.

The ornament and snowman were cut from the Joys of the Season cartridge.  The background was embossed with the Cuttlebug Snowflake embossing folder.  I tore some paper and added it along the bottom of the ornament to create snow and adhered a punched snowflake with a bling center.  I filled my ornament with some iridescent sequins.  A couple of jingle bells were tied to the top of the card with some Holly Berry Trendy Twine and a sentiment from the Get Your Jingle On stamp set was tucked underneath.
Stamps are available in the Craftin Desert Diva's shop now.  Please join us on Facebook at the Craftin Desert Diva's Gallery we would love for you to share your projects using the Craftin Desert Diva's stamps.

Craftin Desert Diva's "Tag" Linky Party

Welcome to another Craftin Desert Diva's Linky Party.  The theme for this linky party is to create a tag or use a tag on your project.  For my project, I created a fun little tag using the Joys of the Season cartridge for the Christmas tree.
My tag is from Annie's Paper Boutique and I layered it with a couple of scraps of patterned paper and a snowflake border at the bottom.  The border was punched from the Fiskars snowflake border punch and the single snowflake from a Martha Stewart punch.  The sentiment is from the Craftin Desert Diva's Simply Christmas stamp set.  The finishing touch was some Christmas Mint Trendy Twine with a polka dotted button.
We have some awesome sponsors for this linky party:
Craftin Desert Diva's - one stamp set
Too Cute by Jessica - $25 gift card

Snow Globe Card

This snow globe card was created using the Joys of the Season cartridge.  I welded two snow globes cut at 5.5 inches using my Gypsy and created a card.  The snowman was cut at 3.0 inches.  He was embellished with some tiny pearl stickers and a Berry Red twine scarf.  His broom was accented with Black Licorice twine.
I added some snow to the bottom of the globe and a few trees punched from the EK Success Alpine Trail border punch.  I used my white gel to give the trees a snowy affect.  The Berries Jubilee Trendy Twine bow was the perfect color tying the card together.

Merry Christmas Layout

Today is my design day over at Trendy Twine and I have this double page 12x12 Christmas layout to share.
This layout was created using the Joys of the Season cartridge for all of the die except for the candy canes.  All of the candy canes were cut from the Simply Charmed cartridge.
The train was accented with Candy Cane Trendy Twine and linked together using Black Licorice.  The candy cane banner was joined together using Holly Berry twine.
I added a Santa brad, a button elf, gingerbread buttons and some gifts to the train.  Each of the gifts were topped off with a Trendy Twine bow.  A few little candy canes and chipboard candies finished off the train.
The title was popped up on foam dots for added dimension.  Each of the photo mats were accented with a triple bow to give the appearance of large gifts.
The hand cut tag and flag were both stamped with a sentiments from the My Creative Time "All Around Christmas" stamp set.  A large button with a Holly Berry bow was the perfect accent to the scalloped circle.
If you haven't joined our challenge this month, there is plenty of time to come link up your creations with us here.

Ornament

Today I am sharing this two piece plastic ornament which was purchased from Michaels.  This ornament was inspired by Goody Bag Diva, she has a great tutorial on her blog.  I created this ornament with a glitter paper background which is a circle cut at 3.05 inches from the George and Basic Shapes cartridge.  The circle fits securely between the two ornament halves.
I simply added the snowman scene to the glitter circle background.  The snowman is from the Joys of the Season cartridge cut at 2.3 inches.  The snowman had a broom in his hand but I hid that feature with my Gypsy since the ornament has very little space in it.  The two trees are cut from the Gypsy Wanderings cartridge at 2.5 inches.  I used my white gel pen to the tips of the trees for a snowy affect.
I finished off my snowman scene with some pearl buttons, some sparkly snowflakes which are stickers from my stash and some quilt batting for the snow.  I also used a black gel pen for the eyes and mouth of the snowman.
I tied a bow made out of tulle at the top of the ornament.
