My Journey Layout

Today I have a layout page to share which I created for some pictures of my son.  Over the past couple of years, he began his health and fitness journey and has completely changed his lifestyle. I thought a layout would be the perfect way to memorialize the changes he has made.
I found the perfect papers in the DCWV Summer Stack, it's a few years old however has some great patterns.  I used my Cricut Explore and a bunch of different cartridges in Design Space for all of the die cuts and title.
The photo mats were accented with some chevron washi tape.  Since I was trying to stick with a masculine theme, I had to refrain from using too many embellishments.
Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a wonderful day!

Hogs and Kisses Layout

Today I have a layout to share using the newly released Scrappy Moms Party Animals stamp set.  With all of the animal themed projects I create, I know this will be another one of my go to stamp sets.  The pig was cut from the KaDoodle Bug Designs Cutie KaToodles Girl Piggie cutting file.  I swapped out the ear of corn for a heart which was more fitting for my layout page.
The title of my layout was cut from the Just Because Cards cartridge.  I stamped the sentiment on a hand cut flag and tucked it near the photo mat.  I wrapped some Stormy Trendy Twine around the photo mat as an accent.
Here's a closer look at the new stamp set:

Trendy Twine Design Day

Hello everyone!  I'm over on the Trendy Twine blog today with a fun layout to share featuring Krazy for Kraft twine.  To create my layout I used the Cutie KaToodles Bumble Bears from KaDoodle Bug Designs.  The "Bee Happy" title was cut from the Just Because Cards cartridge and adhered to a hand cut tag.
The neutral colored twine was perfect for accenting my layout by creating some whimsical trails for the bees, a center for the flower and embellishments for the photo mat and tag.  I also tied a bit of twine to the wood vaneer love arrow, pointing directly towards the photo mat.  These wooden embellishments are so fun for layout pages.  The photo mat was embossed with the Cuttlebug Honeycomb embossing folder.
Stop by Annie's Paper Boutique to pick up the products featured on my layout and so many other crafty goodies!  Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Trendy Twine Design Day

Merry Christmas Eve!  I am back over on the Trendy Twine blog with a fun and whimsical layout in anticipation of some sweet Christmas pictures tomorrow.  Over the past month as I was working on my holiday creations, I stashed away some extra die cuts for this layout.
The gingerbread men were cut from Just Because Cards, the elf from Jolly Holidays, the penguins from Simply Charmed and the snowmen heads from Joys of the Season.  I used Peachy Keen Stamps for their adorable faces.
A die from my stash was used for the sentiment tags.  All of the sentiments are from the Scrappy Moms Picture Perfect stamp set.  The sentiment tags were accented with some pearl stickers.
My layout was embellished with touches of Tickled Pink Trendy Twine.  It was the perfect accent for my non-traditional layout.
The snowflakes were created from different punches in my stash.  I added a few pink sequins from Annie's Paper Boutique to each of the pages.
Don't forget to stop by the store to check out all of the amazing twine colors, many are still on sale this month.  You will also find lots of products for all of your crafting needs.  Thanks so much for stopping by and have a Merry Christmas.  I hope to see you back here tomorrow as I will be part of a special Christmas Day post along with the rest of the Trendy Twine Design Team.

You Are My Sunshine Layout

This single page 12x12 layout was created using the Holiday Cakes cartridge for the doily and Just Because cards for the title.
The border at the center of the page was punched from the Martha Stewart Doily Garden Trim Punch Around the Page set.  I punched two different sized scalloped circles and added a flower center to create an embellishment for the border.
All of the flags were cut by hand.  Stormy Trendy Twine was used to accent the photo mat and title of the layout.

Sketch Challenge

The Circle blog has a sketch challenge going on which requires choosing any sketch from the Circle blog or magazine and creating a project with it.  I found this sketch on the Circle blog and used it for my layout.
I created a double page 12x12 layout for some pictures of my family at an event last year. The Flower Shoppe cartridge was used to cut all of the flowers for the layout, Just Because Cards was used for the title and Storybook for the "2011".
I used a pearlescent paper for the photo mats and embossed them with the Darice Large Petals embossing folder.

I made a few modifications to my large flowers so that I could somewhat flatten them for my layout.  I also incorporated cuts from two different flowers to create these flowers.  The edges of all of the flowers were inked to give them some definition and the flowers were finished off with some bling for the centers.
The title was popped up on foam dots for added dimension and dressed up with a tiny bow made from coordinating twine.
