Sweet Layout

Today I have a spring themed layout to share created with the DCWV Garden Charm Stack.  The papers in this stack are perfect for those Spring themed projects.  The title for my layout was cut from the Kate's ABC's cartridge, the scalloped circle from the Art Philosophy cartridge and the butterflies from the Home for the Holidays - Spring & Summer cartridge.  The title was popped up on foam dots for added dimension
The circle was embellished with a few paper flowers from my stash.  Another flower was adhered to the flag above the title.  I blinged out the butterflies and flowers for some sparkle and shine.  The finishing touch on my layout was some Grape Fizz Trendy Twine.
Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a fabulous day!

Scrappy Moms Stamps Guest Designer

Hello everyone, unfortunately this is my last post as a Scrappy Moms Stamps Guest Designer.  I had fun showcasing the August stamp release and want to thank them for having me!  Today's project features the "What Can I Say?" stamp set.
I created a single page 12x12 layout using a sketch from DCWV and used the DCWV Garden Party stack.
Instead of journaling on my layout, I used 3 sentiments from the new Scrappy Moms "What Can I Say?" stamp set.  Can you tell I totally love this stamp set?  I added each sentiment to a hand cut flag. A bit of Chocolate Truffle Trendy Twine was added to one of the flags.  The doily is from Annie's Paper Boutique.
My title was cut from the Kate's ABC's cartridge, embossed with the Paper Lace Cuttlebug embossing folder, inked and pop dotted.  Since the title is in such a light color I wanted to give it some dimension.
Thanks for stopping by!  Don't forget to pop over to Scrappy Moms Stamps to check out the August stamp release and all of the inspiring projects from the Design Team!

Craftin Desert Divas "Buttons, Ribbon, Twine or Brads (use 2)" Linky Party

Welcome to another Craftin Desert Divas Linky Party.  The theme is buttons, ribbon, twine or brads, use 2.  I used ribbon, a button and some twine on my layout, I used the Mustaches and Glasses cartridge for the mustaches, Lacy Labels for the heart and "Love" and Kate's ABC's for the "I".
I hand cut a small tag and added the "Love" to the tag.  A button was added on top of the "o".  The tag and photo mat were finished off with some fun coordinating mustache ribbon.
The mustaches were added to wooden toothpicks and popped up on foam for added dimension.  A small bow in Cherry Midnight Trendy Twine was the perfect finishing touch.
A couple of hand cut flags were added to my layout using washi tape.  A sentiment from the Scrappy Moms Just Sayin' stamp set was added to one of the hand cut flags.  This fun square tag was created using the die cuts and a small twine bow.
We have some awesome sponsors for this link party: Too Cute By Jessica, Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons and Tombow.  Stop by Craftin Desert Divas to check out all of the inspiring projects from the DT and join in the linky party.

Up to my Eyeballs!

The inspiration for my card came from the patterned paper behind my card which has spooky eyeballs all over it.  This card was created using the jar from the Kate's ABC's cartridge and welding two jars together using my Gyspy.  This is such a simple card to create, I just used some scraps from my stash.
I stamped the jar with the Studio G eyeball stamps, colored in the eyeballs with my white gel pen and added Glossy Accents on top.  I also added some faux stitching using my white gel pen.  The lid was created with Black Licorice Trendy Twine and then I wrapped the top of the card with some Orange Licorice Trendy Twine for a pop of color.  The "spooky" sentiment is from the Fiskars Trick or Treat stamp set.

Guest Designer for Trendy Twine

I am back over for my second guest design day for Trendy Twine.  Trendy Twine is showcasing the Blue Berry twine this month so I have a card to share created with this beautiful twine.
This shaped card was created using the Kate's ABC's cartridge.  I took the butterfly jar cut on the cartridge and welded it using my Gypsy to create this card.
I discarded the dragonflies from the die cuts and just used the butterflies.  The centers of each of the butterflies were adhered to the card and I lifted up the wings to give them some dimension.
For the butterfly bodies, I started with a strand of twine and wrapped twine over the single strand and knotted the beginning and the end of the twine.  For the small butterfly I used a single piece of twine without wrapping it.
The butterflies were all finished off with some bling.  I used my white gel pen on the greenery for the card.
The top of the jar was also embellished with some twine by wrapping it around the top and finishing off with a twine bow topped off with a kraft button.

Cute As A Button Layout

I created this Springtime layout using non-traditional colors.  I love the patterned paper with the trees, birds and flowers, it just really reminds me of Spring.  I used Kate's ABC's to cut out the title "Cute As A Button".  I cut out a button from the Paisley cartridge and inserted it over the "o" in button.  The kitty, butterflies and snail were all cut from Create A Critter.
To break up the patterned background, I added a solid blue piece of cardstock at the top of the layout which was punched with the Fiskars Effervescence border punch.  I added another solid piece of cardstock at the bottom of the layout and a thin strip of grass punched with the Fiskars Grass border punch.  I used two layers on the photo mats along with a touch of ribbon.
Using my Gypsy, I hid the face of the little kitty and the snail and used my Peachy Keen Face Stamps.
I used my white gel pen to do some faux stitching and doodling.  All of the die cuts were popped up on foam dots for added dimension.  I also used some jute to tie a bow through the button holes. Some bling was added throughout the layout as an accent.

Friends Layout

This layout was created primarily using the Kate's ABC's cartridge.  I also used Elegant Edges for the round doily mat on the two pages.  I cut the mat in half so it would be symmetrical on the two pages.
I think I was in a hurry to be done with this layout and took my pictures before I added a white mat over the beige mat on the second page of the layout.
I added extra details with a white gel pen. I also embossed the butterfly in the "Friends" title and the flower in the "BFFS" title.  A couple of the flowers were also embossed.
Since the "Friends" and "BFFS" phrases did not have a shadow, I cut them out twice in two different colors and offset them for dimension.
Here is a close up of the vase with flowers.  The titles, flowers and the vase were popped up on foam for added dimension.

100+ Cricut Cartridge Blog Hop

Welcome to the 100+ Cricut Cartridge Blog Hop!  You should have just came from Erica's blog which is the beginning of the blog hop. Each designer along the hop is featuring one or more cartridge for their project. Now on to my projects:

"#1 Dad Card"
For this project I decided to create a Father's Day card.  This is a standard A2 size card.  The mats for the card base are cut from the Lacy Labels Cricut Lite cartridge.  I cut each layer at 4.5".
The sentiment on the card is cut from Celebrate with Flourish Cricut Lite cartridge at 3.0".  The title has been popped up on foam for added dimension.
I also used a white gel pen to add some stitching to the card.
"Baby Card"
For my next project, I created this baby themed card.  This is a standard A2 size card.  The card is cut from the Kate's ABC's cartridge.  The baby shoes and layers are cut at 3.5".
The "baby" title is also cut from Kate's ABC's at 1.40".
I added a second layer under the title for added dimension and interest and used pop dots between the layers.
The card is embellished with pink pearls, stickles and a white gel pen.  The baby shoes are also popped up on foam.
Thanks for hopping by my blog and now it is time to send you to Patricia to see what she has in store for you.
