Craftin Desert Divas "Buttons, Ribbon, Twine or Brads (use 2)" Linky Party

Welcome to another Craftin Desert Divas Linky Party.  The theme is buttons, ribbon, twine or brads, use 2.  I used ribbon, a button and some twine on my layout, I used the Mustaches and Glasses cartridge for the mustaches, Lacy Labels for the heart and "Love" and Kate's ABC's for the "I".
I hand cut a small tag and added the "Love" to the tag.  A button was added on top of the "o".  The tag and photo mat were finished off with some fun coordinating mustache ribbon.
The mustaches were added to wooden toothpicks and popped up on foam for added dimension.  A small bow in Cherry Midnight Trendy Twine was the perfect finishing touch.
A couple of hand cut flags were added to my layout using washi tape.  A sentiment from the Scrappy Moms Just Sayin' stamp set was added to one of the hand cut flags.  This fun square tag was created using the die cuts and a small twine bow.
We have some awesome sponsors for this link party: Too Cute By Jessica, Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons and Tombow.  Stop by Craftin Desert Divas to check out all of the inspiring projects from the DT and join in the linky party.

Valentine Gift Card Bag

I created this Valentine Gift Card bag inspired by the red and yellow challenge going on over at Scrappy Moms Stamps.  The bag is just big enough to tuck in a gift card.  I added a hand cut tag to the front of a flat paper bag using a clothespin.  The word "love" was cut from the Lacy Labels cartridge and adhered to the tag along with a chevron button.
A small hand cut flag with a sentiment from the Scrappy Moms Mini Messages stamp set was attached to the tag along with a twine bow made form Cherry Lemonade Trendy Twine.  Some washi and a few little sequins were used to embellish the bag.  The finishing touch was a crochet flower with a bling center.

Trendy Twine Group Design Day

Welcome to the April Trendy Twine group design day!  This month we are featuring Lemon Tart which is a pretty twist of yellow and white twine.  For my project, I created this elegant birthday card.
I used a scallop punch for the squares and added a tag cut from the Lacy Labels cartridge.  The paper flowers were layered on a twine looped flower and finished off with a pearl embellishment.  The sentiment is from Docerela stamps and popped up on foam for added dimension.

Trendy Twine Design Day

Today is my design day over at Trendy Twine and I have this layout to share which follows the Trendy Twine challenge this month using Watermelon Taffy.
I used four different cartridges to create this winter themed layout.  The title was cut from Beyond Birthdays, the mittens from Jolly Holidays, the small scalloped circle from Lacy Labels and the snowflakes from the Christmas solutions cartridge.
My layout was created using a large snowflake which was cut in half and symmetrically placed between the two pages.  The smaller snowflakes with bling centers were scattered throughout the two pages.
I used several hand cut flags on my layout.  A large flag was used under the title. The title was embellished with Watermelon Taffy Trendy Twine by outlining the heart.  Some doodling with my white gel pen and a coordinating ribbon bow finished off the title.
The mittens were also embellished with Watermelon Taffy Trendy twine, some brad buttons and snowflake buttons. The looped bow tied the mittens together perfectly.
Some coordinating ribbon with twine bows added a nice finishing touch to the photo mats.  Some bling was also added to the center of the twine bow.
This embellishment was created using a scalloped circle with a hand cut flag in coordinating papers and topped with a snowflake.
Stop by the store for your twine needs and there is plenty of time to come link up your creations for the monthly challenge.

Trendy Twine Design Day

Today is our group design day over at Trendy Twine and we are featuring Watermelon Taffy twine. This is a fun and festive twist of pink, lime and white.
I used the Lacy Labels cartridge for the scalloped circle and Jolly Holidays for the mittens.  The border on the background of the card was punched from the Diamond Lace EK Success punch.  The mittens were inked on the edges and embellished with tiny brad buttons.  I braided the twine to create a trim for the mittens.  They were then hung from the snowflake with a triple Trendy Twine bow.
Don't forget to link up for our challenge this month and check out the store for 40 amazing twine colors.

Happy Birthday Gift Bag and Card Set

To enter my "Blogaversary Giveaway," please click here.

Today I am so excited to share my first project that was published in the May 2012 Cricut Magazine.  I had originally shared this on my blog but removed it pending the release of the May issue.  This coordinating set was created using the Carousel and Lacy Labels Lite cartridges.
I used the Stampin' Up Big Top paper for the background on my bag and for the strip on the card.  The solid red color is Real Red also from Stampin' Up.  The solid color was used to break up the two patterns on the bag and also as the background on the card.
The "Happy Birthday"sentiment is from the Perfectly Penned Stamp set also from Stampin' Up.
The carousel horse was cut from the Carousel Lite cartridge and was embellished with a button from Stampin' Up designer buttons.  The banner was also cut from Carousel Lite cartridge and embellished with some twine and popped up on foam dots for extra dimension.
The tag was cut from the Lacy Labels Lite cartridge and embellished with the Stampin' Write Marker in Marina Mist and tied with twine to the bag.
Here is a picture of my gift bag and card set in the May 2012 issue of the Cricut magazine.
I am super excited about being published, thanks so much for stopping by and checking out my creations!

100+ Cricut Cartridge Blog Hop

Welcome to the 100+ Cricut Cartridge Blog Hop!  You should have just came from Erica's blog which is the beginning of the blog hop. Each designer along the hop is featuring one or more cartridge for their project. Now on to my projects:

"#1 Dad Card"
For this project I decided to create a Father's Day card.  This is a standard A2 size card.  The mats for the card base are cut from the Lacy Labels Cricut Lite cartridge.  I cut each layer at 4.5".
The sentiment on the card is cut from Celebrate with Flourish Cricut Lite cartridge at 3.0".  The title has been popped up on foam for added dimension.
I also used a white gel pen to add some stitching to the card.
"Baby Card"
For my next project, I created this baby themed card.  This is a standard A2 size card.  The card is cut from the Kate's ABC's cartridge.  The baby shoes and layers are cut at 3.5".
The "baby" title is also cut from Kate's ABC's at 1.40".
I added a second layer under the title for added dimension and interest and used pop dots between the layers.
The card is embellished with pink pearls, stickles and a white gel pen.  The baby shoes are also popped up on foam.
Thanks for hopping by my blog and now it is time to send you to Patricia to see what she has in store for you.
