Trendy Twine - Let Your Dreams Set Sail

Hello!  I have a nautical themed single page layout to share over on the Trendy Twine blog featuring some In the Navy twine.  The papers are from the DCWV Coastal stack.
To create my layout page, I cut out the helm using my Cricut Explore and the Life is a Beach cartridge.  I layered a photo mat on top and added some cut outs and sentiments from the same paper stack.  A White Tag-Its was stamped with a sentiment from the Scrappy Moms Anchors Away (retired) stamp set.  Some twine and a Chevron Trendy Page Dot were used as embellishments for the tag.
My layout page was embellished with some paper flowers from my stash, a few die cuts and twine accents.  I added some cork stickers to the flower centers.  The finishing touch was a twine embellishment created with a square knot.
This gorgeous twine is available over at Annie's Paper Boutique along with lots of crafty products. Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great day!

Terrific Tuesday Challenge - Summer Fun

Welcome to another Terrific Tuesday Challenge over at Scrappy Moms Stamps.  Our theme for this challenge is "Summer Fun".  For my project, I created a double page layout.  My son was a lifeguard at the local pool during the summer so this challenge give me the perfect opportunity to memorialize his first job.  I used the Life is a Beach cartridge for all of the die cuts on my layout with the exception of the lifeguard.  He was cut from the Fun in the Sun cartridge and his face was stamped with the Simple Simons Face Assortment Peachy Keen Stamps.
I was going for a cool looking lifeguard but this guy looks kind of nerdy.  My husband and son got a big kick out of his outfit and glasses.
I embellished my layout with some coordinating Cranberry Trendy Twine.  A few pieces of bling accented the umbrella tops and the flip flops.  I added several sentiments from the Scrappy Moms "Sun Kissed" stamp set.  They were all so perfect for my layout, I ended up using 4 different sentiments.
Please stop by Scrappy Moms Stamps to check out all of the design team projects and to link up your "Summer Fun" themed project to win a stamp set of your choice.  Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Seashore Layout

Today I am sharing a fun layout with a whimsical mermaid theme.  I used the Pretty Little Mermaids cutting file from KaDoodle Bug Designs for my layout.  The title was cut from the Life Is A Beach cartridge.  The mermaid's face was stamped with the Peachy Keen Princess Face stamps.
I used touches of Stickles on my paper piecings and cut the title out of glitter paper for some sparkle. The Shell Collage Cuttlebug embossing folder was used for the shells and the Swiss Dots folder was used to emboss the starfish.  The sentiment is stamped from the new Scrappy Moms Anchors Away stamp set.  I couldn't help using this adorable sentiment on another project.  A tiny bow in Twisted Blue Berry Trendy Twine finished off my journaling tag.
Scrappy Moms Stamps is having a celebration for their 5th Birthday with some awesome giveaways and a sale, go here for the details.  Here's a closer peek at the new stamp set:

Craftin Desert Diva's Summer Linky party

Welcome to another Craftin Desert Diva's Linky Party.  The theme for this linky party is summer.  For my project I created a single page 12x12 layout.  With Trendy Twine being one of our sponsors this month, the design team is showcasing projects using twine.  My project features Twisted Lime Trendy Twine.
All of the die cuts came from the Life Is A Beach cartridge with the exception of the pineapple cocktail.   The cocktail die cut was left over from another project and I don't remember which cartridge it came from.  All of the die cuts were inked on the edges for added dimension.
The sentiment is from the Craftin Desert Diva's Say It Big stamp set and was stamped on a word bubble cut from a die.  I used a Peachy Keen stamp from the sun's face.
Twisted Lime Trendy Twine was used to embellish the sun, photo mat, banner and the straw. I also embossed the pineapple and added some Stickles to the lemon.
We have some awesome sponsors for this linky party: Craftin Desert Divas, Trendy Twine, Designs on Cloud 9 and Papermill Direct.  Stop by Craftin Desert Diva's to check out all of the inspiring projects from the design team and to join in on the linky party.

Today is challenge day over at Docerela Creations and we have a color palette challenge.
My card was created using the "Cool Summer" Carta Bella paper pad.  I used the Life Is A Beach cartridge for the flip flops.  Bubblegum Taffy Trendy Twine was used to outline the straps with some bling accents.
The edge of the card was punched with the Boundary Waters Fiskars border punch.  The sentiment is from Docerela "Summertime" stamp set and stamped on a handcut flag.

Beach Fun Layout

This fun beach theme layout was created with the Life Is A Beach cartridge.  This is such a fun cartridge with cuts that are simple to layer.  With the sand and water background on the paper this layout was super easy to put together.
The title and pelican come as a single cut on this cartridge so I just cut the individual letters for "Fun" to add it to my title.
I used the Distressed Stripes and Swiss Dots Cuttlebug embossing folders to add some extra details to my die cuts.
I also did some doodling with my white gel pen and popped up the coconuts on foam dots for dimension.

Relax Layout

We have had a pretty wet and rainy Spring in Northern California and I am so looking forward to some sun which inspired me to create this layout.  I used the Life Is A Beach cartridge for the die cuts.  I added brackets around the title to highlight it which were cut from the Letter Envy cartridge.
The background paper and the patterned paper for the photo mats had a sheet of coordinating stickers which I incorporated into my layout.  The drink on the chair, the pineapple and the tiki face are all stickers which were popped up on foam dots to create dimension.
The border at the bottom of the layout was torn by hand and inked on the edges to give the appearance of sand on a beach.  I also inked the edges of the photo mat.
The chair was cut twice and offset to create a layer and embellished with Orange Truffle Trendy Twine.  I had seen a picture on Facebook of a beach chair with twine so I scrap lifted the idea.  I absolutely love how the chair looks with the twice accents.
The flip flops were also embellished with Trendy Twine, however I used Chocolate Truffle twine instead.  Some bling finished off the flip flops.

Thanks Card

This is a very simple card I made to use as a thank you card.  The flip flops are cut from the Life Is A Beach cartridge.
I forgot to write down which cartridge I cut the "Thanks" from.  I added some bling and a foam flower to the flip flops.
I used pop dots under the straps of the flip flops and some white stitching with a gel pen around the card.
