Trendy Twine Design Day

Hello, today is my design day over at Trendy Twine and I am sharing a single page 12x12 layout featuring Limeade Trendy Twine.  My monster themed layout was created using some fun paper from my stash and I added a die cut layer to the background using the Mother's Day Bouquet cartridge.  The monster border was tucked in behind the photo mat which was embellished with the Limeade twine.  I also paper clipped a heart to the photo mat adding some twine to the paper clip as an accent.
The word bubble was stamped with a sentiment form the Scrappy Moms Crazy for You stamp set, it seemed so perfect for my layout.  I added a few enamel dots as accents.
The monster and hearts were cut from the KaDoodle Bug Designs "Love Monsters" cutting file.  The monster's face was stamped with the Peachy Keen Make a Monster stamp set.  As a finishing touch the monster got some twine hair to jazz him up a bit.
Thanks for stopping by to check out my "monsterific" layout.  Remember to shop at Annie's Paper Boutique for 81 flavors of twine and so many other crafts and packaging needs!  Have a great day!

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all of the moms out there!  In honor of this wonderful day I have a card to share.
The flowers for my card were cut from the Mother's Day Bouquet cartridge and "Mom" was cut from the Martha Stewart Seasonal Cake Art cartridge.  I used Posy Trendy Twine to stitch around my card and added a small bow to finish it off.

I am very excited to share this very special day over at Trendy Twine where Lesley is introducing her new design team.  I am so happy to be part of the team for this term.  I love using twine on my creations and find Trendy Twine to be extra special with both two and three color twists.  I am also very excited about all of the new twine colors coming out later this year.

For the design team call, one of the projects I created was this topiary.  I incorporated the soft effects of Posy Trendy Twine throughout my project.
The topiary was created using a styrofoam ball and a wooden dowel which was covered in ribbon.  All 200+ flowers were cut from the Mother's Day Bouquet cartridge.  Each flower was then inserted into the styrofoam ball with pearl stick pins.
I created a twine flower with a button center and adhered it to the ribbon bow.  Some Posy twine was also added to the butterfly which was cut from the Graphically Speaking cartridge.  Pearl stickers were added to the butterfly so it would coordinate with the topiary.  The butterfly was simply attached to the wooden dowel with a couple of glue dots.
My project was finished off by wrapping more twine around the top of the flower pot.
Please remember to leave a comment on all of the design team blogs including the Trendy Twine blog in order to be entered to win a Trendy Twine spool of your choice.  You will have the opportunity to select any one of the twine colors available from Annie's Paper Boutique and there will be 14 new colors released later this year, that is so exciting to have even more yummy colors of twine!  Here is the new Trendy Twine DesignTeam:
