Bunny Hop

Hello and welcome to the Trendy Twine Bunny Hop!
Thanks for joining our hop today featuring Bubblegum Taffy twine.  We are showcasing color number 45 in the Trendy Twine line up.  This color is a twist of aqua, pink and white and is the perfect combination for Spring projects.
My project is a double page 12x12 layout.  The title for my layout was cut from the 3 Birds on a Parade cartridge, the fence from My Community, the eggs from Sugar and Spice and the bunnies from Teddy Bear Parade.
The Sizzix Woodgrain folder was used to emboss the fence for added texture.  The grass was punched with the Fiskars border punch.  The fence and grass were both inked on the edges.
The bunny faces were stamped with the Peachy Keen Animal Faces stamp set.  A couple of buttons with Bubblegum Taffy twine were adhered to the eggs.  The twine was also added to the bunnies, the title and the photo mats.
I loved the title for this layout, I plan to add a couple of picture of my niece to this layout.  The twine outline on the photo mats with the rolled ends was the perfect accent to highlight the pictures.
The next stop on the hop is Dawn.  Visit the store here to purchase the new twine color.

8th Grade Layout

I created this layout to scrapbook pictures of my son from this school year.  Since next year both of my kids will be in high school I wanted to create more of a child like layout with primary colors.  I was actually able to dig into my stash of scraps to create the majority of this layout.
For the school house, pencils, bus and slide I used the Recess Lite cartridge.  The tree came from My Community, the clouds from Pooh and Friends and the title from Plantin Schoolbook.
The title was cut out twice and off set to create a layer.  I embossed the top layer with the Tiny Mosaic Cuttlebug embossing folder to give it some texture.  The clouds were embossed with the D'Vine Swirl Cuttlebug embossing folder and the little boys shirt was embossed with the Candy Stripes Cuttlebug embossing folder.
I inked and chalked most of the die cuts and added some faux stitching and doodling to them.
I used the Holiday Holly Berry Trendy Twine to tie the pencils together and also for the bow on the button.
On the hand cut flag, I added a sentiment from the Docerela Creations Mix & Match I Stamp Set.

Sweet Memories Layout

We have a family tradition of making gingerbread houses on Christmas Eve so I thought this would be the perfect theme for my layout.
The Sweet Memories title was cut from the Winter Frolic cartridge at 3.0 inches and embossed with the Candy Stripes embossing folder.
The Gingerbread boys and girls are cut at 3.0 inches from the Gingerbread Seasonal cartridge.  I used my Happy Lashes Peachy Keen Stamps for their cute little faces and stickles for buttons.

The holly was also cut from the Gingerbread cartridge at 3.0 inches.  I used red stickles in the center of the holly leaves.
The gingerbread house was cut from the My Community cartridge at 5.0 inches. I used diamond stickles on the gingerbread house to make it look like snow.
I used a white gel pen to add extra details to the die cuts.  I also used foam pop dots for dimension.

Driver's License Layout

Here's a fun layout I created to scrapbook pictures of my daughter the day she received her driver's license a few months ago.  I used 5 different cartridges for this layout.
I really wanted to create a California license plate with my daughters name so I find one on the Holiday Cakes cartridge.
The key was cut from Locker Talk, California was cut from the Billionaire cartridge and Shareen was cut from Don Juan.
I also used two metal buttons for bolts on the license plate.
Both the car and the "Hit the Road" sign were cut from Locker Talk.  The road was cut from My Community.
I kept the colors and cuts very simple on this layout since I wanted the emphasis to be on the license plate.
I again used my white gel pen to add some faux stitching to the sign.
