Wild About You Layout

Today I have a fun layout page to share which was created using several different cartridges in Design Space.  The lamb on the second page was cut from the Easter Seasonal cartridge and the chicken from the Country life cartridge.  The other animals were cut from the Cute Farm Animals cutting file from KaDoodle Bug Designs.  Their faces were stamped with the Peachy Keen Black Eyed Critters Face Assortment Stamps.
My layout page started as a simple one page layout and kept evolving as I continued to add die cuts.  I love all of the details on each of the pages.  I kept my embellishments to a minimum by only adding a few touches of Lemon Peppermint Trendy Twine to the tags and the lamb.  I also added some bling stickers to the fence posts.
All of the die cuts were inked on the edges for a bit more dimension.  The finishing touch was a couple of sentiments from the Scrappy Moms Party Animals stamp set.
Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great day!

Boots and Bling - it's a Cowgirl Thing!

Happy Monday!  Today I have another card to share using one of the Scrappy Moms Stamps July release stamp sets.  There are 2 new awesome stamp sets for this release Random Acts of Kindness and Cowboy Up!  My card was created using the Cowboy Up stamp set.  I found this fun Debbie Mumm paper in my stash which was perfect for my girly card.
To create my card, I used the Old West and Southwest cartridges available in the subscription for my Cricut Explore.  I layered the boots on top of a mat cut with a Spellbinders die which was embossed with the Cuttlebug Fabric Swatches embossing folder.  Some metallic bling was added to the badge, spurs and sentiment tag.  The sentiment was stamped on a cork sticker.  My card was finished off with a twine bow in Chocolate Cupcake Trendy Twine.
Here's a closer look at the stamp set I used, available here
Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a wonderful day!

The "smile" sentiment is from the new Craftin Desert Diva's "Say It Big" stamp set. You will just love this new stamp set with all of the larger sentiments.  I added the sentiment on the corner of the polaroid frame.

Guest Designer on Exploring Cricut

Today I am a guest designer at Exploring Cricut and I would like to thank Diane for inviting me to be a guest designer.
Ride 'Em Cowboy Layout
Ever since the Old West cartridge was released I have admired many of the western themed layouts, several of which have had these fence and horse cuts on them.  I finally broke my cartridge out of the clamshell to create this layout.  All of the cuts are from Old West.
I welded two pieces of the fence together with my Gypsy, for some reason the hash marks did not cut when I welded the two pieces so I used my white gel pen to add the details to the fence.   The other die cuts also have a little bit of doodling on them.
I used some jute and tied it on the fence and the photo mats to give the layout more of a rustic appearance.
I inked all of my die cuts and the photo mats.  I finished off my layout with some brads which were added to the title and the photo mats to give the look of hardware.
This was a fun layout to put together, I can't wait to use this cartridge again.  If you are one of my followers please stop by Exploring Cricut and leave a comment and become a follower too!  Thanks for stopping by!

Rumble in the Redwoods Layout
Last summer my son had the opportunity to participant in a 5 day baseball tournament near the Redwoods in Northern California and tournament was called "Rumble in Redwoods".  I am trying to finish up scrapbooking some pictures from last year so I created this layout using the Old West and Camp Out cartridges.
The title was cut from Old West and all of the other cuts came from the Camp Out Solutions cartridge.
I used my favorite Fiskars edge punch to create the grass border at the bottom of the layout.
I accented the sign with a couple of brads and the title with some black pearls to give my layout a more rustic appearance.
I added a solid layer under the photo mats to create a background for my pictures.  I left the top of the photo mats open so the pictures could easily slide into place.
