Trendy Twine Design Day

Happy Monday!  I'm over on the Trendy Twine blog today with a CAS card to share featuring some gorgeous Midnight Trendy Twine.  It was the perfect masculine color for a graduation card for my son who is graduating from high school.  I participated in a Cricut Cards file sharing event and this was one of the files shared in the group. I love the simple design of the cap and gown which were cut with the different shapes in Cricut Design Space.  The row of buttons were cut from the Paisley cartridge, the tassel from Wild Card and the 2016 from the Cricut Alphabet cartridge.
The tassel was outlined with some Midnight Trendy Twine and layered with a twine tassel.  A small brad was adhered to the center of the cap.  The twine also accented the diploma in the center of the sentiment circle. The sentiment is from the Scrappy Moms Dancing in Circles (retired) stamp set.
Thanks so much for stopping by!  Head on over to Annie's Paper Boutique to check out the gorgeous twine used on my project along with lots of other crafty goodies!  Have a fabulous day!

Girl Time Layout

As I scrapbook layout pages I have to remind myself to also capture the everyday moments and that is exactly what this layout is about.  I used the It's a Girl Thing cutting file from KaDoodle Bug Designs for all of the paper piecings.  The title was cut from the Paisley Cricut cartridge.
The whole page is so girly so I added the several flowers and lots of bling to keep within the theme.  I framed my word art paper on some solid card stock which was punched on the edges with the Scalloped Sentiments Fiskars punch.  A small tag with a sentiment from the Scrappy Moms Girls Just Want to Have Fun stamp set was added to my layout page.  A small bow in Strawberry Cupcake Trendy Twine was the finishing touch on my layout.
Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great day!

Girlfriends Layout

This layout was created with a couple of challenges in mind.  My daughter is in her senior year of high school and will soon be in a new chapter of her life.  I wanted to memorialize a couple of pictures of her group of friends.  All of the sentiment embellishments represent momentos summarizing their high school years.
The title for the layout was cut from the Paisley cartridge and the flowers from Flower Shoppe.
I especially love this paper since the scalloped edge opens up to add hidden journaling or to tuck away other keepsakes.
Most of the embellishments for this layout came from my stash in a coordinated kit making this layout super easy to create.
I added Limeade Trendy Twine to the chipboard tag and flower.  A few pieces of bling were added to the top and bottom of the layout.
The flowers, mat and title were inked on the edges for added dimension.  The title was popped up on foam dots.
Since I used all of the tags from an embellishment set, I used twine to string them together and for a pop of color.
This banner was created by adhering the sentiments along a piece of twine.  A triple twine bow finished off the layout.

Rainy Day Layout

I found this fun rain themed paper at Michaels and couldn't wait to create a layout using it.  I used the Simply Charmed cartridge for the title, clouds and raindrops.  The Paisley cartridge was used for the umbrella and boots.
I used my Gypsy to hide several of the features on each of the die cuts in order to add my own embellishments.
The D'vine Swirls Cuttlebug embossing folder was used to emboss the clouds and the Seeing Spots Cuttlebug embossing folder was used to emboss the boots.
I added a few paper flowers to the boots, umbrella and title with the thought of "April Showers Bring May Flowers".  A little bit of Posy Trendy Twine and bling were also added as an embellishment.
To finish off my layout I added some faux stitching with my white gel pen.  I also added a little bit of doodling to the raindrops.

Cute As A Button Layout

I created this Springtime layout using non-traditional colors.  I love the patterned paper with the trees, birds and flowers, it just really reminds me of Spring.  I used Kate's ABC's to cut out the title "Cute As A Button".  I cut out a button from the Paisley cartridge and inserted it over the "o" in button.  The kitty, butterflies and snail were all cut from Create A Critter.
To break up the patterned background, I added a solid blue piece of cardstock at the top of the layout which was punched with the Fiskars Effervescence border punch.  I added another solid piece of cardstock at the bottom of the layout and a thin strip of grass punched with the Fiskars Grass border punch.  I used two layers on the photo mats along with a touch of ribbon.
Using my Gypsy, I hid the face of the little kitty and the snail and used my Peachy Keen Face Stamps.
I used my white gel pen to do some faux stitching and doodling.  All of the die cuts were popped up on foam dots for added dimension.  I also used some jute to tie a bow through the button holes. Some bling was added throughout the layout as an accent.

Our Group Layout

This layout was created using Forever Young, Formal Occasion, and Paisley Cricut cartridges.
The title was cut from Formal Occasion.
The dress on the hanger was cut from Paisley.
Both purses were cut from Forever Young. The extra flowers in the layout and on the photo mats were also cut from Forever Young.  The flowers are multiple cuts of the flower on the white purse.  I added an extra layer to the flowers along with bling.
Coordinating ribbon was added to the photo mats for a little detail.  All cuts are popped up on foam dots.
White and black gel pens were used for additional detailing and for finishing touches.  I used scraps from the layout to make a coordinating card.
The dress and the title were both cut from Paisley and popped up on foam dots.
