Trendy Twine Design Day

Hello, it's my design day over at Trendy Twine and I have a project featuring Lime Licorice Trendy Twine.  I covered a Kraft Gable box from Annie's Paper Boutique with some fun paper and used my Fiskars Jack-O-Lantern punch for the face.  The top of the gable box was closed with some burlap and I added a bat which was outlined with Black  Licorice Trendy Twine and some googly eyes.  I attached a fun little tag with a sentiment from the Craftin Desert Diva's Frightfully Cute stamp set.  The little pumpkin and the grass on the tag are both from punches.  My tag was finished off with a coordinating Trendy Page dot and tied to the gable box with the Lime Licorice twine.  I only have a sneak peek of my project so head over to the Trendy Twine blog.
There are lots of Halloween twine colors available in the store and you can also find the coordinating Spooktacular Halloween Trendy Page Dots for those Halloween projects along with many other crafty projects.  Also, don't forget to join our "Boo-tiful Treats" October challenge, all of the details are here.

Fa-boo-lous Celebration!

To enter my giveaway in celebration of Fa-boo-lous Halloween week, please click here.
Today I am a guest designer featured on the Happy Life, Crafty Wife blog.  Tamara has been celebrating a Fa-boo-lous Halloween week with lots of inspiration and giveaways and I am honored to be part of the celebration.  Please thank our sponsors for todays's giveaway Trendy Twine and My Thoughts Exactly by becoming a fan of their Facebook pages.
For my project, I created this standard A2 sized card using some fun Halloween themed paper.  I added a web border and a couple of smaller webs to my card from two different Martha Stewart border punches.  The patterned paper already included the "caution" sentiment.
The mummy was cut from the Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge and wrapped in Black Licorice Trendy Twine.  I added a couple of wiggly eyes to finish him off.
The mummy was then centered on an oval and adhered to the card.  I added a small tulle bow to the top of the card with a Lime Licorice Trendy Twine bow.

Lucky To Have You Layout

In honor of Saint Patrick's Day, I created this layout with several different challenges in mind.  The title for this layout was cut from the Billionaire Lite cartridge, the shamrocks were cut from Paper Doll Dress Up and the scalloped mat was cut from Elegant Edges.  I welded the title using my Gypsy and cut it out twice to create the layer for the title.
I thought about using a four leaf clover for my layout since four leaf clovers are considered to be lucky, however, a couple of the challenges specifically called for a shamrock so I went with shamrocks instead.
I used coordinating patterned paper to divide the solid green background.  An EK Success border punch was used to create an accent border along the patterned paper.  The flags were hand cut in various lengths.
The shamrocks were cut from glitter paper which is a little difficult to see in the pictures.  I added twine bows made from Twisted Lime Trendy Twine to each of the shamrocks and pop dotted the shamrocks on the scalloped mat.  A little bit of bling was used to accent the mat.
I used my white gel pen to add extra details to the layout.  I used 3 layers of paper to create the photo mats which also helps separate the different patterns in the layout.
