XOXO - Love

Hello, today I have a Valentine's Day post to share using some fun products from Oriental Trading. I'm not sure how many of my crafty friends know that Oriental Trading carries lots of crafty supplies, I especially love all of the products they have for scrapbooking and paper crafts.  Today I am sharing some fun cards I created with these products.  All of the papers I used are from the Rainbow Paper Pack and the solid Super 150 Paper Sheets.  They cut beautifully in my Cricut Explore using the light card stock setting.
My first card is a shaker style card created with the Bright Sequin Assortment using the red sequins. The flag was cut from the Pretty Pennants cartridge with a heart sliced in the center.  If you love sequins you will want to pick these up, it is amazing how many sequins you get.  The bags are huge and include a variety of colors.  I especially love the bright colors.  My card was embellished with an XOXO Flat Brad.  I didn't actually use the brad, however instead used the Stick-Em Adhesive Dots to adhere the XOXO portion to my card.  A bit of Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine was used to accent my card.
For my next card, I took another approach to a shaker style card and simply inserted the silver sequins from the Bright Sequin Assortment into the heart.  The "love" was cut from the Create a Critter cartridge.  A small paper heart was added to the top of the clear acetate.  The heart was outlined with the Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine.  I embossed the remaining letters of the word to keep them from blending into the background of my card.  A small sentiment from  the Happy Valentine's Day Printable was adhered to the top corner of my card.
My final card is probably my favorite of the bunch.  I used some dies from my stash to create the love scene inside the polaroid frame.  The polaroid frame was cut from the When I was a Kid cartridge.  All of the papers coordinated so perfectly, the scattered sequins were used as an accent.  I die cut the hearts from paper left over from my first 2 cards.  Another XOXO flat brad was adhered to the bottom of the polaroid frame.  The final touch was a coordinating Patterned Wood Button with a bit more twine.
I hoped you enjoyed checking out some of my projects using my new goodies from Oriental Trading. Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great day!

This review is based strictly on my opinion.  I was provided the samples free of charge by Oriental Trading to provide my honest review.  No other type of compensation was received.  All ideas and opinions are my own.

Hello Card

This fun card was inspired by these gorgeous papers in my stash.  I dug out the Typecraft Craft Smith paper pad which is full of bright, cheery colors and patterns mixed with kraft, such a fun combination. I cut a pennant from the Pretty Pennants cartridge and adhered it to the card base layering it with a strip of grass punched from the Fiskars grass punch.
The sweet bear was cut from the KaDoodle Bug Designs Busy Bee Bears cutting file and pop dotted on the card for added dimension.  I love this sweet bear and am thinking there might be a layout using these bears in my future. A sentiment from the Scrappy Moms Mini Messages stamp set was added to the card along with a couple of enamel dots and a double bow in Totally Grape Trendy Twine.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

My Craft Spot Guest Designer and Giveaway

Happy Friday, this is Sukie from Scrappin Dhilly and I am honored to be a guest designer for My Craft Spot today.  For my project, I created a single page 12x12 layout using My Craft Spot's Tiny Doilies metal dies and the Tiny Tags 3 stamp set.
The cat was cut from the October 31st Cricut cartridge and the banner was cut using the Pretty Pennants cartridge.  I cut the banner flags at 3.5 inches and embossed them with the Darice Spider Web embossing folder.  Next I layered the doilies from the Tiny Doilies dies using 3 of the doilies and adding foam pop dots between one layer for added dimension.  I also embossed the top doily using the same embossing folder.
I used Totally Kraft Trendy Twine to join the banner together.  A few paper flowers with bling centers were added to the ends of the banners.  I used a small pre-printed "candy" tag next to the photo mat which is a die cut from the Recollections die cut paper pad.  The photo mats were embellished with a fence punched from the Martha Stewart Crooked Fence punch.
I added a small hand cut flag with another doily and added the "Sweet Treats" sentiment stamped from the Tiny Tags 3 stamp set.  My layout was finished off with a spider tag which was created by using a doily and adhering a spider tag on top using foam pop dots.  The spider tag is also from the Recollections die cut paper pad.
