Valentine Penguin Gift

Over Christmas I saw lots of gifts created with the idea of inserting an EOS lip balm.  With the holiday season I never had the opportunity to create one myself.  Now that things have settled down after the holidays I have been spending some more time in my craft room.
I think these make the most adorable gifts.  The EOS lip balm just opens up and is inserted into the hole and then closed on the back side.  I have seen these made with Snowmen, Santa and Reindeer noses.  For Valentines, there are some fun ideas with cupids, bears and flowers.  The possibilities are endless and they are super easy to make.
I cut the penguin at 5.5 inches so it is a pretty big size.  The hole for the EOS lip balm needs to be cut at 1.43 inches for it to fit properly.  I put my penguin in a large clear bag and tied some Peppermint Stick Trendy Twine to a scalloped tag with a sentiment from the Scrappy Moms Just Sayin stamp set.

Hip Hip Hooray!

I have a fun and festive card to share today which is perfect for a winter birthday.  This was the second project I made with my new Explore.  Even though it's not perfect, I'm really loving my new cutting machine and all of its capabilities.  Plus the intricate cuts on the snowflakes have me sold on the Explore.
Olaf and the snowflakes are SVG files.  I incorporated some scattered sequins on the base of my card and added some Blue Berry Trendy Twine along the edge.  The sentiment is from the Scrappy Moms Dancing In Circles stamp set.  A small button with twine was added to the center of the sentiment.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
