Just a Note

Hello!  Today I'm sharing this sweet card over on the Scrapping Cottage blog for my design team post.  I had the chance to play with this typewriter die which is absolutely adorable.  I can think of so many different uses for this die.
I die cut the Typewriter, Sweet Love Border and the Stitched Wide Circle Frame.  The "sweet" sentiment was cut twice and layered for some dimension.
I found the most perfect papers in my stash stash.  I decided to offset the circle frame for better placement on my card.
The heart border was adhered along the bottom edge of my card.  The hearts remind me of a scribble style pattern.  The typewriter fit perfectly inside the circle.
A sentiment from the Scrappy Moms (retired) "The Charmed Life" stamp set was anchored above the border on a hand cut flag.
The finishing accent on my card was a cluster of paper flowers.  A few bling stickers adorned the flower centers.
Here are the dies used on my card, available in the store:

May Your Day Be Magical

Hello!  Today I have a sweet card to share for my design team post over on the Scrapping Cottage blog. I'm still loving all of the dies from the Magical Fantasy die release, they are perfect for those whimsical projects!
All of my pieces were die cut in white card stock and then shaded with my Oxide Inks.  I went with a soft color palette for both the Rainbow with Clouds and the Magic Dragon.
To create my background I cut out several of the clouds from the Rainbow with Clouds die and used it as a stencil at the bottom of my card base.  The top of my card base was inked with some Mustard Seed Oxide Ink and splattered with a bit of water.
I heat embossed a sentiment from the Scrappy Moms (retired) Happily Ever After stamp set and anchored the rainbow next to the sentiment.  The sweet dragon was adhered above the clouds, he appears to be floating.
For a finishing accent, I adhered some sequin stars on the upper half of my card.  This card is perfect for any special occasion!

Have A Magical Day Card

Hello!  Today I'm sharing a project for my design team post over on the Scrapping Cottage blog.  The new Magical Fantasy dies are perfect for making all kinds of unique creations.  I love all of the whimsical designs from this release.
I found this scrap of confetti paper left over from another project in my scrap box which inspired the colors of my card.
I die cut the Unicorn Cupcake in white card stock and shaded it with my Oxide Inks and adhered all of the pieces.  I die cut the sentiment from the Magical Unicorn Dreams set and shaded it to coordinate with the cupcake.  The gorgeous doily is from the Nested Stitched Doily set.
I created my A2 sized card by layering the tiny checkered pattern with the confetti strip and white card stock.
Next, the doily was placed on the top half of my card with the unicorn centered on top of the doily.
The oversized sentiment was anchored on the white card stock along with the tiny stars from the same die set.
To finish off my card I stamped a partial sentiment from the Scrappy Moms (retired) Countless Occasions stamp set and pop dotted the pieces to create the phrase.
Here are the dies I used on my card available in the shop:

Happily Ever After Card

Hello!  I have another card to share today showcasing the new Cottage Cuts Magical Fantasy die release over on the Scrapping Cottage blog.  I absolutely adore the Frog Prince, he's the cutest!  I simply used my Oxide Inks to shade him and popped him up on some foam dots.  He was then layered on the Sweetheart Doilies.
I accented the layered doilies with some flowers and a few sprigs of greenery from the new Unicorn Floral die set.  I love all of the elements in this die set which can be used as a set or as individual pieces.  My card was finished off with a heat embossed sentiment form the Scrappy Moms (retired) Happily Ever After stamp set.
Here are the die sets I used on my card available in the shop:

What's Cookin', Good Lookin'?

Hello!  Today I am up on the Cottage Cutz blog for my design team post.  I'm sharing this card which would be perfect for Mother's Day next month.
This sweet card was inspired by the Recollections Coastal Village papers I found in my stash.  I adore the lemon and lime patterns.  The strip of lemons is from the same collection and was trimmed from a page of multiple patterned strips.  I also incorporated a tiny polka dot pattern from my scrap pile.
I cut out the apron, chef hat, rolling pin and heart with the Cottage Cutz Kitchen Chef die set and also cut out the oval with the Pierced Oval set.  All of the die cuts were heavily inked on the edges for added depth and dimension on my die cuts.
I wanted to break up the varying patterns on my card so I punched a strip of white card stock with the Martha Stewart Doily Lace Punch.  The lace border was also inked on the edges.
I began building my card base with a sunny yellow background and layered it with the polka dotted paper. The lace border and strip of lemons were adhered on top.
Next, I began creating the focal point of my card by adding the whimsical apron to the oval background. The chef hat and rolling pin were adhered next to the apron.  Once I added the tiny heart to the rolling pin, I cut out a couple of extra hearts as embellishments.
The finished oval was adhered to the card base leaving plenty of room at the bottom for a sentiment.
This happy card was finished off with a fun sentiment from the Scrappy Moms (retired) Designer's Choice 2 stamp set.  I thought the phrase was so cute and perfect for my card.

Friends Through Rain or Shine Card

Hello!  Today I'm super excited to share that I'm the newest member of the Scrapping Cottage design team. I absolutely adore this company and their collection of dies.  I'm looking forward to creating lots of inspiring projects during my design team term.
When I saw this adorable die I was inspired to create this fun card.  I cut out the Rainy Day Duck die pieces in white card stock and used my Oxide Inks to shade the pieces.  I also shaded the Nested Stitched Scallop Circle Set to coordinate with the duck's hat.  Another circle was cut out in white card stock with the Circle Set.  The clouds are from the Snowman Lane die set.
The inspiration for the duck and rainy day scene came from the gorgeous chevron patterned paper. The paper is from an older Doodlebug paper pad from my stash.  I layered the chevron paper on white card stock and adhered it to a yellow card base.
The two circles were adhered together and layered on my card.  Next, I added the puddle, clouds and duck to begin building the scene.
Initially, I didn't cut out the water splashes thinking they wouldn't fit inside the circle, however, they ended up being the perfect addition along with the umbrella to the scene.
The finishing touch was a sentiment from the Scrappy Moms (retired) Fun Celebrations stamp set.  I stamped the sentiment on a hand cut flag and added it to my card.
Here are the dies used on my card available in the shop, check out the anniversary sale going on now:

Happy Easter Card

Hello!  Today I'm sharing this sweet Easter card for my guest designer post over on the Scrapping Cottage blog.  The bunnies in this die set are absolutely adorable.
I cut out all of my pieces from the Spring Potted Bunnies in white card stock and shaded them with my Oxide Inks.  The colors of the pots are deeper shades so they would pop on my card.  A few extra carrots were cut out for embellishments.  The strips of grass were cut from the Spring Grass die.
The inspiration for my card came from the pretty striped paper I had in my stash.  The colors remind me of Spring which are perfect for an Easter card.  I layered a piece of white card stock to break up the background.
To create the scene on my card I pieced the strips of grass along the bottom edge of the white card stock. The strips of grass were trimmed on the edges so that it would fit perfectly.
Next, the potted bunnies were placed along the bed of grass.  The carrots were adhered as extra embellishments.  The "Happy Easter" sentiment is from the Scrappy Moms (retired) For Peep's Sake stamp set.
Here are the dies I used to create my card available in the shop:
