Craftin Desert Diva's Sneak Peek

Welcome to the Craftin Desert Diva's Stamp Release and Sneak Peek week.  Today is day four of the stamp release party.  Each day we will be giving you a sneak peek of one of the four new stamp sets. Then tomorrow and Wednesday , we will have a blog hop with prizes each day.  The design team has some amazing creations to start this stamp release party.

Today, we are showcasing our projects created with the "Say It Big" stamp set.  All of the stamp sets are 4x6 and made in the USA.

We have a new store Craftin Desert Diva's Shop and a Craftin Desert Diva's Gallery Facebook group. We would love for you to join us and share your creations using the Craftin Desert Diva's stamps.  In this group, we show previews first, have giveaways and much more!  Now on to my project:
I used the Sentimentals cartridge to cut this tag and the two butterflies.  I layered the smaller butterfly on top of the larger one and added some pearl stickers as accents.  The background was embossed with the Once Upon A Princess Cuttlebug embossing folder.  The embroidery ribbon and Tickled Pink Trendy Twine are both from Annie's Paper Boutique.  I added a hand cut tag with a sentiment from the new Craftin Desert Diva's "Say It Big" stamp set.  I just love this new stamp set!
Thanks for joining us, don't forget to stop over at Craftin Desert Divas for more sneak peeks, amazing inspiration from the design team and for a chance to win today's giveaway.  The winner will be chosen from one of the blogs today, so the more you visit and comment the better chance you have to win! Tara will announce today's winner tomorrow.  The winner will be picked from a different blog every day, so be sure to visit and leave comments.  Thank you all so much for joining us today and I hope you will come back tomorrow for the blog hop!

Bee Happy Layout

Today is my design day over at Trendy Trendy and I created this double page 12x12 layout.  The layout was designed using three different cartridges, Teddy Bear Parade for the "bee" bear, Sentimentals for the title and the flying bee and Teresa Collins Basics for the honeycomb and scalloped circle.
To create this layout, I used some scraps I had left over from other projects.  The colors seemed to work well with the cuts for this layout.  A couple of flags were also hand cut from the scraps.
I used the EK Success Pointed Flower Punch along the border at the bottom of the layout.  The photo mats were tied with a bow from Lemon Tart Trendy Twine.
The top layer of the title was embossed with the Preserves Cuttlebug embossing folder.  The bee was embellished with Stickles and some pearl stickers.  A twine flight path was added with the bee flying away.
I added lots of different paper flowers to the layout.  Pearl stickers were used for the centers of the flowers.
The "bee" bear was inked on the edges and embellished with Stickles.  I used the Peachy Keen Critter Faces stamps for the face.  A double Trendy Twine bow with a paper flower finished off the "bee" bear.
Come link up your creations at the Trendy Twine monthly challenge and check out the store.

Stampin' Up Design Day

Welcome to another Stampin' Up Design Day.  For my Stampin' Up design project I made some candy sticks to use for Thanksgiving.  I haven't decided if I will have the candy sticks in a glass like the first picture or in a napkin ring as shown below.  Please let me know your thoughts in a comment.
I  didn't realize Stampin' Up carried these 1"x8" clear bags to make the candy sticks.  They are very inexpensive and make such great treats.  I filled the bags with Reese's Pieces to stay with the Fall color theme.
I used the Thanksgiving cartridge to cut out out the turkey and the place card.  I added the turkey with pop dots to the scalloped circle which was cut from the Sentimentals cartridge.  The patterned paper for the scalloped circle and the place card is Stampin' Up Spice Cake, this paper is so pretty and adds to the Fall theme.
The "Thank You" sentiment is from the Perfectly Penned Stampin' Up stamp set which was stamped with the espresso Stampin' Up stamp pad.  I also inked the edges of the top layer of the place card with the espresso ink.
I embellished the place card and the the candy topper with some twine and added a little bit of doodling to the turkey with my white gel pen.
If you would like some of these clear bags to make candy sticks for the upcoming holidays or other Stampin' Up products, please contact Wendy Cranford at her Stampin' Up website.  You can also visit her Stampin' Up blog, here.  Please check back often for workshops, giveaways and special promotions.  Thanks for stopping by!
