Love Layout

Today I am sharing an elegant layout which I created several months ago.  I used some gorgeous papers from the Lemon Flower Stack from DCWV.  The title was cut from the Victorian Romance cartridge, the flowers from the Sophie cartridge and the yellow mat from the Elegant Edges cartridge.
The Pointed Flower EK Success punch was used for the photo mat border and the Fiskars border punch was used along the edges of the horizontal border.
Bling flourishes from my stash were added as an accent amongst the flowers.  I tucked in a tag behind the photo mat with a sentiment from the Scrappy Moms Crazy for You stamp set.  A small bow in Totally Black Trendy Twine was the finishing touch on my layout.
Thanks for stopping by, have a wonderful day!

Hello Card

I have a fun little card to share which was created using another one of the Cutie KaToodles from KaDoodle Bug Designs.  This time I used the Skunk, he's so stinkin' cute!
The sentiment is from the Scrappy Moms More Mini Messages stamp set.  I stamped the sentiment on a punched scalloped circle which was added to the center of a doily cut from the Sophie cartridge.  The doily was then adhered to a tag punched from a Fiskars tag punch.  A small bow in Totally Orange Trendy twine finished off the tag perfectly.  I scattered a few home made enamel dots in the corner of my card as an accent.
Thanks for stopping by and have an awesome day!

Terrific Tuesday Challenge - All About Mom!

Welcome to another Terrific Tuesday Challenge over at Scrappy Moms Stamps.  Our theme for this challenge is "All About Mom".  For my project, I created a shaker card using my Cricut Explore.
I used the Natural Luxury paper pad from Craft Smith.  I adore the elegant papers with the touches of gold.  The doilies were cut from the Sophie cartridge and layered on top of the sliced circles on the patterned paper.  A few coordinating sequins were added to each of the circles.  The sentiment is from Scrappy Moms Fun Celebrations stamp set.  The finishing touch was a small bow in Totally Natural Trendy Twine.
Please stop by Scrappy Moms Stamps to check out all of the design team projects and to link up your "All About Mom" themed project to win a stamp set of your choice.  Have a great day!

Decorated Candle Jar

For today's project I decorated a Yankee candle jar.  I bought this candle for one of my co-workers who is coordinating all of the adopt a family and needy family donations at work.  This is a huge project in itself.  I thought it would be nice to recognize her Random Acts of Kindness (RAK) with my own RAK for her.  Since the candle looked so simple I thought I would personalize it with my Cricut. All of the cuts for the jar are from the Sophie cartridge.
I created a snowflake border with my Gypsy by welding 4 snowflakes together sized at 3.30 inches.  I used the shadow feature behind the snowflake and added a red shadow. I tied the border together with some Christmas ribbon on the back side of the candle.
I cut the center snowflake doily at 4.3 and 2.3 inches in red and 3.3 and 1.7 inches in white.  I layered the snowflakes by alternating the red and white and added pop dots between the layers.  I finished off the snowflake doily with a button and some Stampin' Up twine.
To create the card, I used the card feature on the Sophie cartridge and cut the card at 3.0 inches.  I ended up trimming off the edges of the card so it would look more like a tag.  I trimmed off approximately 1/2 inch on each side of the card.
I used the same snowflake for the card but sized the red one at 2.5 inches and the white one at 1.5 inches. The tag was also finished off with a button and some twine.  I punched a hole in the corner to tie it to the jar.
I am loving the look of the dressed up candle, I will be combining several challenges with my creation.
