Trendy Twine - Celebrate

Happy Monday!  I have a layout page to share over on the Trendy Twine blog featuring some festive Berries Jubilee twine.  It's the perfect mix of red and navy blue for those patriotic projects.  I used it to embellish my 12x12 layout page.
I found some coordinating papers in the DCWV Nantucket stack.  A bit of washi tape was used to accent my layout page along the top and bottom borders.  The border was punched with the Fiskars Scalloped Sentiment Punch.  I went to my stash of dies to cut out the banner, tags, stars and tiny circles.  The title of my layout was cut with the Cricut Sophisticated cartridge.
The whimsical sentiment and arrow are from the APB Documenting the Everyday #2 stamp set.  The sentiment was stamped 3 times for added emphasis.  The twine was tied on the tags and also adhered to the banner and photo mat.  A few GMD Patriotic Sparkle Enamel Dots were the finishing touch on my layout page.
This gorgeous twine and stamp set are available over at Annie's Paper Boutique!  Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great day!

DCWV - Life Moments Layout

Hello!  I am excited to share another layout page today over on the DCWV blog which was created with the new Modern Metallics Stack available at AC Moore.  I am a huge fan of scrapbooking and when I saw these gorgeous black and white papers accented with gold I was immediately inspired to create a layout.  My layout started with the black and white striped paper which was layered with the heart patterned paper.  The hearts were the theme for the rest of my layout page.
I broke up the black and white stripes by adhering some gold washi tape along the bottom of the layout.  I used a tag from the tags page and cut out the words from the sentiment page and layered each word on some metallic paper so they would pop.  The tag was accented with a bow cut from the Cricut Pretty Packages cartridge.  The title was cut from the Sophisticated cartridge.  All of the circles, hearts and sequins were cut with dies and scattered on the page.  A bit of gold ribbon was used as an accent on the tag.
Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a fantastic day!

Us Layout

Today I am sharing this double 12x12 layout which was created using the Sophisticated cartridge for the die cuts and some patterned paper.
I used a shimmer paper so the die cuts would stand out against the red background.  Unfortunately, the shimmer paper does not photograph well and looks much lighter than it really is.

Several paper flowers with bling centers were added to each of the pages next to the frames.  The frames are open on one side to easily slide in the photos.   A small Berry Red Trendy Twine bow was added to the crown.
The chandeliers were embellished with Stickles and bling.  The tag was finished off with a chipboard clock sticker from my stash and some coordinating ribbon and flowers.
A bling flourish from my stash seemed to be the perfect finishing touch to the "blinged out" layout.

My Creative Time Design Team Call

The very talented Emma from My Creative Time is having her very first Design Team Call.  I became a follower of Emma's blog when I first got my Gypsy.  Her Gypsy videos really showed me how to use my Gypsy.  I quickly learned all of the function keys and now I can't even use my Cricut without my Gypsy.   If you are new to the Gypsy I would highly recommend that you visit Emma's blog and watch all of her videos.  Not only does Emma have great instructional videos but she is a very talented designer and has a great line of stamps and dies.  I love that her stamps are so unique.  I would love to have the opportunity to join her design team and showcase her stamps.  I created this 5x7 card for my entry for the design team call.
For this card I used the Sophisticated and Summer in Paris cartridges. The Sophisticated cartridge was used to cut the frame, flowers and the sentiment tag.  The frame was cut at 6.75 inches to which I added a pearly, embossed cardstock to the background to lighten up the card.  I cut the flowers at 2.0 inches, however, discarded the third layer as it was too large for my card.  The sentiment tag was cut at 1.0 inches.  I used a stamp from Inkadinkado as I do not own any of Emma's stamps.  However, I did win a set recently and can't wait to get them!  The sentiment stamp is stamped on a metallic cardstock which adds to the vintage look of the card.
The dress form was cut from the Summer in Paris cartridge at 5.75 inches and I flipped the image on my Gypsy.  I added some tulle to the dress form to make a skirt with some ribbon and pearl stickers on the waist.
I also added some twine to the card and embellished it with pearl stickers.  Good luck to all the talented designers who entered the design team call, I know Emma will have a tough decision to make.  Thanks for stopping by!
