My Journey Layout

Today I have a layout page to share which I created for some pictures of my son.  Over the past couple of years, he began his health and fitness journey and has completely changed his lifestyle. I thought a layout would be the perfect way to memorialize the changes he has made.
I found the perfect papers in the DCWV Summer Stack, it's a few years old however has some great patterns.  I used my Cricut Explore and a bunch of different cartridges in Design Space for all of the die cuts and title.
The photo mats were accented with some chevron washi tape.  Since I was trying to stick with a masculine theme, I had to refrain from using too many embellishments.
Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a wonderful day!

I used the Sports Mania cartridge to cut the title for my layout.  The title was cut twice in two colors and offset to create a layer.  A Momenta die was used for the stars.
The "team roster" tag came from my stash.  I stamped the sentiment on a hand cut flag and inked the edges of the white paper.  A bit of Stormy Trendy Twine was used to wrap the photo mats as an accent.
Thanks for joining us, don't forget to stop over at Craftin Desert Diva's for more sneak peeks, amazing inspiration from the design team and for a chance to win today's giveaway.  The winner will be chosen from one of the blogs today, so the more you visit and comment the better chance you have to win! Tara will announce today's winner tomorrow.  The winner will be picked from a different blog every day, so be sure to visit and leave comments.  Thank you all so much for joining us today and I hope you will come back tomorrow for the blog hop!

Baseball is Life Layout

Today I am sharing a layout that I created last year but never published on my blog.  This double page layout features 3 photo mats, one for a large 5x7 picture and 2 for 4x6 pictures.
The title and the baseballs were cut from the Sports Mania cartridge.  The title was added to a large hand cut banner.
Since the layout was fairly simple, I accented the corners of the photo mats with strips of coordinating card stock.  These will be perfect for sliding the pictures in.
I inked both of the baseballs on the edges for added dimension and popped them up on foam dots.
A couple of tags from my stash were stamped with my Smash stamp and tied with Totally Kraft Trendy Twine.  A couple of hand cut flags were the perfect finishing touch to each of the pages.

Touchdown Layout

This one page layout was created using three different cartridges.  The title was cut from Base Camp, the helmet and football from Sports Mania and the star frame from Designer's Calendar.
The title, helmet and the football were popped up on foam dots for added dimension.
The tag was hand cut and embellished with some crinkle ribbon and jute twine.  I added a couple of football stickers and a metal pennant on the tag.
The star frame was also embellished with some jute twine and a button.  Some sports stickers were added to each of the hand cut flags.

Touchdown Layout

Today I have a football layout to share which I created for a few different challenges.  This layout was made with the Sports Mania and All Sports cartridges.
The title and footballs were cut with the All Sports cartridge and the clipboard, helmet and football player were cut from Sports Mania.  I prefer using Sports Mania over the All Sports cartridge, the cuts are  a little to "boxy" for me on All Sports, however, it does have a few cute cuts on it.
I used the Scrappy Cat Playful Series stamp set to combine individuals letters to stamp "Go Falcons" on the lined paper on the clipboard.
The grass is punched from the Fiskars edge punch.  This is really a must have punch, I just love it.
I have lots of photo mats on this layout since I have so many pictures from football season.  I used my white gel pen to add stitching and doodling throughout the layout.
The Tiny Bubbles embossing folder was used to emboss the footballs to give them a more realistic look.

Now onto my project, I created this two page layout using the Sports Mania cartridge to scrapbook some pictures of my son during the "All Stars" tournament for baseball.
The baseball background is cut at 12.0 inches, the title at 2.3 inches and the baseball at 2.0 inches.
There are several photo mats, one of which I will be using for the newspaper article about the team which specifically mentioned my son. (Proud mommy!)
I embellished the layout with some buttons, twine and my white gel pen.
I used foam pop dots for the title in order to add some dimension to it.  The little circles were just punched out with a regular hole punch and embellished with my white gel pen.
Here is the entire line-up for Day 1:
