Trendy Twine Birthday!

Hello everyone, the Trendy Twine Design Team has joined together to surprise Lesley with a special birthday post.  Each of the design team members created a special card that was mailed to Lesley to wish her a very Happy Birthday!  For my project, I used some fun papers from Doodlebug Design since I know Lesley loves their products and the color pink is one of her favorites.
I adhered a Treat Bag to the front of my card which was the perfect size to tuck in an oversized tag which can be reused as a bookmark.  The tag was accented with a Chevron Trendy Page Dot and some gorgeous Strawberry Cupcake Trendy Twine.  The twine was also wrapped around the Treat Bag.  The cupcake was cut from the Sweet Treats Cricut cartridge and adhered to a scholloped circle which was popped up on foam dots for added dimension.  A sweet sentiment from the Scrappy Moms Mini Messages stamp set was tucked in on a hand cut flag.
Please head over to the Trendy Twine blog to check out all of the design team projects and to wish Lesley a Happy Birthday!  Have a wonderful day!

Kimberly's Birthday Bash FB Hop!

Hello everyone!  Today I am participating in my friend Kimberly's Birthday Bash Facebook Hop! You will see some fun girly projects in this hop.  Head over here for all of the details and prize information! For my project I created a fun shaker card.
The large shaker tag was created using the Sweet Treats Cricut cartridge.  The sentiments are from the Scrappy Moms Subway Art - TLC stamp set.  I filled the shaker tag with some pink, iridescent sequins.  A Chevron Trendy Page Dot from Annie's Paper Boutique was adhered to the tag along with a pretty twine bow in Totally Pink Trendy Twine.  A few coordinating paper flowers and a washi tape border finished off my birthday card.
Hop on over to Facebook to check out all of the other amazing creations and to be entered to win some prizes.  Thanks for stopping by!  Have an awesome day!

Scrappy Moms Stamps Guest Designer

Hello, I am honored to be joining Scrappy Moms Stamps as a guest designer this month!  I want to thank them for letting me be part of the August stamp release!  The two new stamp sets being released are so fun and versatile!
The first set is "What Can I Say?" This set contains lots of fun sentiments for a variety of occasions. You will see lots of creative projects from the DT and few on my blog too!
The second set is "Filled with Love" and this set is definitely all about those fun treats.  This stamp set will be perfect for the upcoming holiday season.

Today I used the "What Can I Say?" stamp set for my treat jar.  I found this cute little mason jar with a handle at the dollar store.
I wrapped the center of the jar with some glitter paper and used a punch on the edge.  Next I layered a scalloped circle and added a cupcake from the Sweet Treats cartridge.  A few sequins were added to the cupcake frosting and I embossed the bottom with the Distressed Stripes Cuttlebug embossing folder.  I made a coordinating piece for the top of the jar.  A cupcake liner was used underneath the lid as an embellishment.  To finish off my project I attached a wooden spoon from Annie's Paper Boutique, tied it with Totally Blue Trendy Twine and stamped it with a sentiment from the new "What Can I Say?" stamp set.
Don't forget to pop over to the Scrappy Moms blog for more inspiration with the new stamp release! Also, remember to come back over the next week for a few more projects with each of the stamp sets! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Craftin Desert Divas "Anything Goes" Linky Party

Welcome to another Craftin Desert Divas Linky Party.  The theme is anything goes so I created a Disney layout.  I used the Sweet Treats cartridge for the "fun" cut and the Mickey and Friends cartridge for the Mickey Mouse, tag and "Disney" cuts.
My intent for this layout was to have plenty of large photo mats to display 4x6 pictures.
The Disney characters were individually cut from a 12x12 page and matted on black card stock.
A tag was added for some journaling.  The swirls were punched from a small punch in my stash and the tag was finished off with some ribbon and a Berry Trendy Twine bow.
Mickey Mouse was popped up on foam for added dimension.  He was the perfect finishing touch to my layout.
We have some awesome sponsors for this linky party: Fleurette Bloom, Love Bug Creations and Fresh Squeezed Stamps.  Stop by Craftin Desert Divas to check out all of the inspiring projects from the DT and join in on the linky party.

Happy Birthday Card

This simple card was created using the Sweet Treats cartridge for the cupcake the Celebrations cartridge for the tag.  I added some dots around the tag with a pink glitter pen and attached it to the card with Strawberry Cupcake Trendy Twine.  The cupcake was embossed with the D'Vine Swirls Cuttlebug embossing folder and a twine bow was added.
I used the Happy Birthday Cuttlebug embossing folder for the background of the card and added a sentiment from Docerela Stamps.

Make a Wish Layout

We have recently had several birthdays in my family so I created this layout using the Sweet Treat cartridge.
I took a different approach to this layout and decided to use the tags and presents as photo mats for my pictures.  The photo mats and cake were embossed for added texture.
The die cuts were embellished with some Stickles and doodling with my white gel pen.  Some bling was added to the paper flowers.
Some coordinating ribbon tied onto the tag finished off the layout by providing the perfect accent for the layout.

It's Your Special Day Card

I needed a quick birthday card so I made this card from a left over tag from another project.  The tag was cut from the Celebrations cartridge and the cupcake came from the Sweet Treats Cartridge.
I embossed the tag with the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug embossing folder and embellished it with the Martha Stewart glitter pens.  A little bit of ribbon was used to finish off the tag.
The cupcake was embossed with the D'vine Swirls Cuttlebug embossing folder and the card base is embossed with the Once Upon A Princess Cuttlebug embossing folder.  The cupcake is topped off with a heart cut from pink glitter paper.  A sentiment from the Mix & Match I set from Docerela Creations finished off the card.

Sweet 16

My daughter recently celebrated her Sweet 16.  I used my Expression to make some fun items for her birthday party.  I used the Sweet Treats cartridge to make her invitations.  I used the card feature at 5.5 inches.  The invitations were embossed with the D'vine Swirls Cuttlebug embossing folder with a little bit of bling.
The cupcake toppers were also made from the Sweet Treats cartridge but were cut at 1.0 inch. The cupcake liner was cut from the Cupcake Wrappers Lite Cartridge along with the layer.  Although the layer is not necessary for making the cupcake liner, the white layer really made the silver liner stand out.
My very talented sister made this beautiful banner using the Martha Stewart Elegant Cake Art cartridge. The font for the banner is from the Storybook cartridge.
She not only made the "Happy Birthday" banner but also made a separate banner with my daughter's name.  She incorporated the cupcakes at the ends of the banner to stay with the whole cupcake theme. Here is a close up of one of the pieces of the second banner.
Finally, each of the party guests went home with a sweet treat of their own which were these delicious Hershey bars.  The Hershey bars were wrapped in silver paper and labeled with a sweet sentiment. Then a tag was attached with ribbon.  The tag was cut from the Celebrations cartridge.  More of the smaller cupcakes from the Sweet Treats cartridge were used to create the tags for the candy bars.
