Trendy Twine Design Day

Hello everyone!  I'm over on the Trendy Twine blog today with a double page layout to share featuring Grape Fizz Trendy Twine.  The Latte Stack from DCWV had the perfect papers for a wine themed layout.  I used a variety of Cricut cartridges in Design Space to created my layout pages.  I also used the writing feature on my Explore to write the title of the layout on a tag.  Even though I don't use the writing feature very often, I do love the way the tag looks.
The purple papers coordinating perfectly with the Grape Fizz twine.  I used it to accent the grapes, the tag and photo mats.  The twine was twisted tightly on a thin pick to get the curled look for the grape vines.  I slightly wet the twine with a mixture of glue and water prior to twisting it on the pick.
I scattered some coordinating bling on the lattice edge behind the photo mat.  The rustic layout seemed to need a bit of sparkle and shine from the bling.
Thanks so much for stopping by!  Head on over to Annie's Paper Boutique to check out the gorgeous twine used on my project along with lots of other crafty goodies!  Have a wonderful day!

Trendy Twine Group Design Day - Gift Bag

Today is our group design day over at Trendy Twine and we are showcasing the Orange Truffle twine.  For my project I created a gift bag.  I embellished the bag with a rosette and added loops of twine underneath to create a flower.  A turkey cut from the Thanksgiving cartridge was added to the top of the rosette.  The turkey was embellished with some bling and Stickles.  The rosette was finished off with a small hand cut flag and a sentiment from the Scrappy Moms Mini Messages Stamp set.
The edge of the bag was punched with the Fancy Flight EK Success punch and the bag was closed with two coordinating paper clips.  I added a thin strip of coordinating paper to the front of the bag. Orange Truffle twine was also wrapped around the strip of paper for a finishing touch.
Visit the store to purchase your holiday twine, there are so many fun colors to choose from!

First I would like to announce the winner of the blop hop candy which is Gramjak.  Please email me at scrappindhilly@gmail.com with your contact information so that I can get your stamp set out to you, you have one week to claim your prize.  Here is her comment:

Gramjak said...Super fun card -- sooooo cute! I'm a new follower and love these stamps. Thanks for the opportunity to perhaps be a winner!  Happy Thanksgiving!

I am also sharing a simple "Give Thanks" 5x7 card in honor of Thanksgiving.  On this card, I inked the edges, added some Thanksgiving twine and a turkey cut from the Thanksgiving seasonal cartridge. I also added a fun wiggly eye and some extra details with my white gel pen.
The sentiment and the turkey steps are stamped from the Fiskars Turkey Lurkey stamp set. Thanks for stopping by, I hope you have a great Thanksgiving!

Stampin' Up Design Day

Welcome to another Stampin' Up Design Day.  For my Stampin' Up design project I made some candy sticks to use for Thanksgiving.  I haven't decided if I will have the candy sticks in a glass like the first picture or in a napkin ring as shown below.  Please let me know your thoughts in a comment.
I  didn't realize Stampin' Up carried these 1"x8" clear bags to make the candy sticks.  They are very inexpensive and make such great treats.  I filled the bags with Reese's Pieces to stay with the Fall color theme.
I used the Thanksgiving cartridge to cut out out the turkey and the place card.  I added the turkey with pop dots to the scalloped circle which was cut from the Sentimentals cartridge.  The patterned paper for the scalloped circle and the place card is Stampin' Up Spice Cake, this paper is so pretty and adds to the Fall theme.
The "Thank You" sentiment is from the Perfectly Penned Stampin' Up stamp set which was stamped with the espresso Stampin' Up stamp pad.  I also inked the edges of the top layer of the place card with the espresso ink.
I embellished the place card and the the candy topper with some twine and added a little bit of doodling to the turkey with my white gel pen.
If you would like some of these clear bags to make candy sticks for the upcoming holidays or other Stampin' Up products, please contact Wendy Cranford at her Stampin' Up website.  You can also visit her Stampin' Up blog, here.  Please check back often for workshops, giveaways and special promotions.  Thanks for stopping by!
