XOXO - Love

Hello, today I have a Valentine's Day post to share using some fun products from Oriental Trading. I'm not sure how many of my crafty friends know that Oriental Trading carries lots of crafty supplies, I especially love all of the products they have for scrapbooking and paper crafts.  Today I am sharing some fun cards I created with these products.  All of the papers I used are from the Rainbow Paper Pack and the solid Super 150 Paper Sheets.  They cut beautifully in my Cricut Explore using the light card stock setting.
My first card is a shaker style card created with the Bright Sequin Assortment using the red sequins. The flag was cut from the Pretty Pennants cartridge with a heart sliced in the center.  If you love sequins you will want to pick these up, it is amazing how many sequins you get.  The bags are huge and include a variety of colors.  I especially love the bright colors.  My card was embellished with an XOXO Flat Brad.  I didn't actually use the brad, however instead used the Stick-Em Adhesive Dots to adhere the XOXO portion to my card.  A bit of Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine was used to accent my card.
For my next card, I took another approach to a shaker style card and simply inserted the silver sequins from the Bright Sequin Assortment into the heart.  The "love" was cut from the Create a Critter cartridge.  A small paper heart was added to the top of the clear acetate.  The heart was outlined with the Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine.  I embossed the remaining letters of the word to keep them from blending into the background of my card.  A small sentiment from  the Happy Valentine's Day Printable was adhered to the top corner of my card.
My final card is probably my favorite of the bunch.  I used some dies from my stash to create the love scene inside the polaroid frame.  The polaroid frame was cut from the When I was a Kid cartridge.  All of the papers coordinated so perfectly, the scattered sequins were used as an accent.  I die cut the hearts from paper left over from my first 2 cards.  Another XOXO flat brad was adhered to the bottom of the polaroid frame.  The final touch was a coordinating Patterned Wood Button with a bit more twine.
I hoped you enjoyed checking out some of my projects using my new goodies from Oriental Trading. Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great day!

This review is based strictly on my opinion.  I was provided the samples free of charge by Oriental Trading to provide my honest review.  No other type of compensation was received.  All ideas and opinions are my own.

Trendy Twine Design Day

Hello everyone!  I'm over on the Trendy Twine blog today with a card to share featuring Raspberry Cupcake twine and the Raspberry Cupcake sequins.  I created a shaker style card using a Polaroid frame cut from the When I was a Kid cartridge.  The shaker was created with the We R Memory Keepers Photo Sleep Fuse Tool.  I just got my new tool for Christmas and already love it.   The adorable little girl was cut from the KaDoodle Bug Designs Sweet Love cutting file.  I stamped her face with the Peachy Keen In the Garden Assortment stamp set.
The sentiment is from the Scrappy Moms With All My Heart stamp set.  I used a bit of the Raspberry Cupcake twine to accent my card as the finishing touch.
Head on over to Annie's Paper Boutique to check out all of the gorgeous twine colors and to purchase these Raspberry Cupcake sequins.  Thanks so much for stopping by and have a fabulous day!

Trendy Twine Design Day

Hello everyone!  I'm over on the Trendy Twine blog today with a fun project featuring Orange Licorice Trendy Twine and the Skinny Candy Bags.  I was looking for a creative way to use the candy bags and found a fun idea on Pinterest where the witch boots were adhered to the candy bags.  I adopted the idea and added a bag topper cut from the When I was Kid Cricut cartridge.  The other cuts are from the Witch Boots cutting file from KaDoodle Bug Designs.
The witch boots were embossed with the D'Vine Swirls Cuttlebug embossing folder and accented with the twine and bling.  I also added the twine to the bag topper and tiny clothespin.  The sentiment tag was punched with a Fiskars Punch and stamped with the Warts Up stamp set from Scrappy Moms Stamps.  Some scattered bling and a small paper flower were the finishing touch on my project.
Stop by Annie's Paper Boutique to pick up this gorgeous twine for those Halloween projects and these adorable Skinny Candy Bags. Thanks so much for stopping by and have a fantastic day!

Terrific Tuesday Challenge - Fall Color Challenge - Brown and Orange

Welcome to another Terrific Tuesday Challenge over at Scrappy Moms Stamps.  The theme for this challenge is to create a project with Fall colors specifically brown and orange.  I created a shaker card for my project using a polaroid style frame from the When I was a Kid cartridge.  I printed the cute little pumpkin from the Pumpkin Patch Bears from KaDoodle Bug Designs.  The leaves for my shaker card were punched from the Ek Success Falling Leaves punch.
I embellished my card with some Orange Truffle Trendy Twine and a sentiment from the Scrappy Moms Bewitched stamp set.  The tiny acorn and leaf were left over from another project however coordinated perfectly with my card.  A few enamel dots were the perfect finishing touch.
Please stop by Scrappy Moms Stamps to check out all of the design team projects and to link up your Fall color challenge project using brown and orange to win a stamp set of your choice.  Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Amusement Park Layout

Today I am sharing my very first project I created using my new Cricut Explore.  I was a bit intimidated by my new machine but was amazed at its simplicity.  I used the When I Was A Kid cartridge for the title, ferris wheel, banners and large doily. I used Miss Kates Cuttables for the small doilies and theme park foods.
The intricate cuts on the box of popcorn amazed me.  Each of the tiny lines and the word cut perfectly. Even the tiny hearts on the small doily cut so beautifully without any issues.  The circles are just perfect.
I added some bling to the ferris wheel to keep it from getting lost in the red background.  Cranberry Trendy Twine was used along the edges of the banner and on a couple of the die cuts.
I tucked in a small hand cut flag with a sentiment from the Scrappy Moms Picture Perfect stamp set.
Thanks for stopping by to check out my first Explore project.  Have a wonderful day!
