KaDoodle Bug Designs Fall Project Challenge

Happy Friday!  Today I am hosting a challenge over on the KaDoodle Bug Designs Challenges group on Facebook.  We  have a new challenge hosted by each of the design team members every two weeks.  This challenge is a "fall project" challenge and runs from today until September 17th.  All of you have to do is create a "fall project" using a file from KaDoodle Bug Designs and post it in the challenge group for an opportunity to win one KaDoodle Bug Designs file of your choice.  For my project I created a fun shaker card.
I printed my scarecrow from the KaDoodle Bug Designs Happy Harvest Scarecrows cutting file.  The leaves for my shaker card were punched from the Fiskars Falling For You border punch.  Since they were punched from card stock, they are a bit heavier than sequins and have a tendency to fall to the bottom of the card.  I finished off my card with a fun sentiment from the Scrappy Moms A Holiday to Remember stamp set and a small bow in Totally Orange Trendy Twine.
Head on over to the KBD Challenges group on to join in this fun challenge.  Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!

Terrific Tuesday Challenge - Back to School

Welcome to another Terrific Tuesday Challenge over at Scrappy Moms Stamps.  Our theme for this challenge is "Back to School".  For my project I created a double page layout.  My son is a senior in high school and I wanted to create a project that was a bit more grown up so I went with a different color theme instead of the usual primary colors.
I always keep track of the products I use for my projects, however, I completely forgot to do that for this layout.  I used several different cartridges from the subscription for my Cricut Explore.
The sentiments are from the Scrappy Moms Mini Messages stamp set.  They were just perfect for my layout pages.  I created a shaker light bulb for my layout, it's a bit hard to see in the pictures.  My layout  was finished off with some Cherry Licorice Trendy Twine.
Please stop by Scrappy Moms Stamps to check out all of the design team projects and to link up your "Back to School" themed project to win a stamp set of your choice.  Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

KaDoodle Bug Design Day

Hello, today I am sharing a project over on the KaDoodle Bug Designs blog.  I used the Cutie KaToodles Mr. Pumpkin cutting file which was a freebie last week over at KaDoodle Bug Designs. He was such a fun and unique looking pumpkin I just had to cut him out as soon as I saw him.
I adhered a small hand cut tag with a sentiment from the Scrappy Moms Bewitched stamp set.  The tag was embellished with a coordinating Trendy Page Dot and some Lime Licorice Trendy Twine.  A few coordinating enamel dots were the finishing touch.
Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a great day!

Gone Fishin' Layout

Hello, today I have another project to share for the Scrappy Moms Stamps August release.  The 2 new stamp sets for this month are:  Paint the Town and The Great Outdoors.  For my project, I created a fishing themed double page layout.  I mainly used the Charmkin Cuties - Gone Fishing Boy and the Gone Fishing cutting files from KaDoodle Bug Designs.  The remaining cuts were from the Design Space subscription for my Cricut Explore.
I used some fun textured Recollections card stock for my layout, I just love the look of the textured paper.  The Boundary Waters Fiskars punch created the water border along the bottom edge of the pages.  A tiny bow in Totally Kraft Trendy Twine was adhered to the fishing hook at the top of the page.
I stamped 2 sentiments from The Great Outdoors stamp set.  One of the sentiments was added to a fishing hook and the other was stamped on the sign.  I can't wait to print my pictures for this layout.

The patchwork bear and title was cut from the KaDoodle Bug Designs Yummy Beary Birthday cutting file.  I added a fun little banner in the corner of the layout with some Totally Limeade Trendy Twine. A bit more twine was added to the cupcake with a sentiment from the Scrappy Moms More Mini Messages stamp set.  A few paper flowers and sequins were scattered throughout the page.

Terrific Tuesday Challenge - Summer Fun

Welcome to another Terrific Tuesday Challenge over at Scrappy Moms Stamps.  Our theme for this challenge is "Summer Fun".  For my project, I created a double page layout.  My son was a lifeguard at the local pool during the summer so this challenge give me the perfect opportunity to memorialize his first job.  I used the Life is a Beach cartridge for all of the die cuts on my layout with the exception of the lifeguard.  He was cut from the Fun in the Sun cartridge and his face was stamped with the Simple Simons Face Assortment Peachy Keen Stamps.
I was going for a cool looking lifeguard but this guy looks kind of nerdy.  My husband and son got a big kick out of his outfit and glasses.
I embellished my layout with some coordinating Cranberry Trendy Twine.  A few pieces of bling accented the umbrella tops and the flip flops.  I added several sentiments from the Scrappy Moms "Sun Kissed" stamp set.  They were all so perfect for my layout, I ended up using 4 different sentiments.
Please stop by Scrappy Moms Stamps to check out all of the design team projects and to link up your "Summer Fun" themed project to win a stamp set of your choice.  Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Trendy Twine Design Day

Hello everyone!  I'm over on the Trendy Twine blog today with a starry night layout featuring Aqua Midnight and Aqua Licorice Trendy Twine.  I found the starry night paper in my stash which I have been hoarding for a long time.  The starry night theme reminds me of the perfect summer night hanging out with my family.  I have some fun pictures from a recent trip which will be perfect for this layout page.
Most of the die cuts on my layout page are from the Outdoor Man Cricut cartridge.  Since the background of my layout was so dark, the two different twine colors were the perfect accent to brighten up my layout.  I used the twine to embellish several of the die cuts and the photo mat.  A few sequins were scattered on the page for some more sparkle and shine.
Head on over to Annie's Paper Boutique to pick up this gorgeous twine.  Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!
