A Trendy Twine Halloween

The Trendy Twine Design Team is finishing off this month with a special post to wish our fans a very Happy Halloween.  For my project, I created these fun Peppermint Patty Treat Holders.  I started my project with the Peppermint Patty - Turkey Treat Holder from Treasure Box Designs and only cut out the base which created my pumpkin.

I used my Cricut Explore to add the stem and leaf at the top.  The pumpkins were stamped with the Peachy Keen Pumpkin Faces stamp set.  The sentiment is from the Scrappy Moms A Haunting We Will Go stamp set.  The finishing touch on my treat project is the coordinating Lime Orangesicle Trendy Twine.

Batty for Sweets Layout

Hello, today I am sharing a project over on the KaDoodle Bug Designs blog, this will be perfect for some Halloween pictures.  I used the Cutie KaToodles - Batty for Candy and the Creepy Treats cutting files from KaDoodle Bug Designs for my layout page.  I found this fun candy themed paper in my stash and thought it was perfect for my layout page.

I embossed the candy on the title and the pumpkin with the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug embossing folder.  A bit of Stickles were added throughout the page for a sparkly effect.  The Martha Stewart Spider Web Punch Around the Page punch was used to create the border on the background of the layout.  All of the sentiments, the tiny webs and bats are from the Scrappy Moms Bewitched stamp set.  Some Spooktacular Taffy Trendy Twine was used to accent few of the die cuts and the large tag.

You're Tweet Layout

Today I have a simple, single page layout using the Spring Chick cutting file from KaDoodle Bug Designs.  Instead of the lady bug, I added a bee which was cut from the 9 Months cartridge.  I also created a hand cut sign with a sentiment from the Scrappy Moms Fun Celebrations stamp set.

The title is from the 3 Birds on a Parade cartridge and was just perfect for my layout.  I used a few daisies on my layout which were left over from another project.  The daisy border on the photo mat was punched from the Martha Stewart Daisy Chain Trim punch.  A small bow in Totally Kraft Trendy Twine finished off my layout.

A Haunted Treat Set

Today I have a fun treat set to share which was designed and created with my Cricut Explore.  The top of the test tube was wrapped with 2 different Halloween themed washi tapes.  Next I wrapped some Spooktacular Taffy Trendy Twine below the washi tape and tucked in a tag from my stash.  I added some yummy M&M's to the test tube in coordinating colors.  It's always fun to sort the M&M's and eat the ones that aren't needed for a project, they are so yummy!

A small 3x3 card was the perfect size to pair with my treat project.  All of the embellishments for the test tube holder and the card came from my stash.  They are Recollections goodies from Michaels which I picked up on sale after Halloween last year.  The test tube is also from Michaels, however, it was purchased recently.

Terrific Tuesday Challenge - Halloween

Welcome to another Terrific Tuesday Challenge over at Scrappy Moms Stamps.  The theme for this challenge is Halloween.  I created a fun shaker style card in Cricut Design Space using some gorgeous papers from the DCWV "Spooky Delight" stack.  I loved the fun and festive owl that was on a tag page in this stack so I added him inside the shaker filling the inside with some Batty Sequins.  The sequins are a fun mix of black and orange sequins mixed in with some tiny bats.

My card was embellished with some fun washi tapes and some pretty paper flowers from my stash. The sentiment is from the Scrappy Moms Bewitched stamp set and was added to a hand cut flag.  I accented the sentiment flag with some coordinating Orange Licorice Trendy Twine.  The finishing touch on my card was some enamel dots.

You're Frightfully Sweet!

Happy Monday!  Today I am back into the swing of things after being out of town last week.  I will be catching up on those blog comments that I neglected while enjoying a week away at the beach!  I have a fun treat bag to share using an Orange Chevron Favor Bag from Annie's Paper Boutique.  The bag was the perfect size to tuck in a gift card for my daughter who is away at college.

I created a belly band for the bag and layered it with a circle.  The Pumpkin Patch Bear is a print and cut project from KaDoodle Bug Designs.  I folded the bag over, punched 2 holes and closed it by tying some Orange Limeade Trendy Twine.  A hand cut flag with a sentiment from the Scrappy Moms Warts Up stamp set was adhered to the bag.  The finishing touch was a small button with a bit more twine.

Have a Wonderful Birthday Card

Today I have a simple birthday card to share.  The little lamb was cut from the Easter Seasonal cartridge.  A couple of paper flowers were sprinkled on the bottom of the card for a pop of color.

The sentiment is from the Scrappy Moms Zodiac Signs stamp set which has so many fun and whimsical sentiments on it.  I added a bow in Chocolate Cupcake Trendy Twine to the lamb for more color.

Trendy Twine Design Day

Hello everyone!  I'm over on the Trendy Twine blog today with a Halloween layout featuring Orange Licorice Trendy Twine.  I found some fun paper in my stash and thought it was perfect background to make everything pop.  The paper piecings are from the KaDoodle Bug Designs Spooktacular Boys and Spooktacular Girls cutting files.  There were lots of little pieces to cut and piece together for the witch and Frankenstein but definitely worth the work for how adorable they look.  Their faces were stamped with the Zombie Faces and Cartoon Bombshell Peachy Keen Stamps.  Some Glossy accents were added over Frankenstein's eyes to give them a more realistic look.

The sentiment tag was stamped with the Scrappy Moms Subway Art - Sweets stamp set.  The size of the sentiment tag was a perfect fit for the frame on my background paper.  I adhered a small button with a twine bow at the top of the frame.  The twine was also used to accent some of the other piecings, the photo mats and the tags.  The tags were tucked in behind the photo mats for some journaling, I used a couple of coordinating Trendy Page Dots for the tags.  I just love how the page dots add a pop of color to the tags.

Today I am popping in to share a quick card I created with the Happy Halloween cutting file from KaDoodle Bug Designs.  I just love this stack of pumpkins topped off with the fun witch hat.  I used my Peachy Keen Pumpkin Faces stamps to create a fun and whimsical look.

The adorable sentiment is from the Scrappy Moms Warts Up stamp set which was just released in September.  The tag for my sentiment was punched with a Fiskars Tag punch.  I scattered a few bats on the background of my card which were left over from another project.  The finishing touch on my card was the tiny twine bow in Grape Limeade Trendy Twine topped off with a paper flower.

Terrific Tuesday Challenge - Pumpkin Patch

Welcome to another Terrific Tuesday Challenge over at Scrappy Moms Stamps.  The theme for this challenge is Pumpkin Patch.  I started my card with this gorgeous DCWV paper from the Fall & Halloween Combo Matstack.  It's a bit hard to see in the picture, however, the background paper has pumpkins on the bottom half of the paper.  For my project I created a pumpkin patch themed card using the Jack-o-Lanterns cutting file from KaDoodle Bug Designs, I simply omitted their faces.  Both the fence and grass were cut using my Cricut Explore.  The scattered leaves were punched with the EK Success Falling Leaves punch.

The tag was punched with the Fiskars Tag punch and layered with a hand cut flag and stamped with the Scrappy Moms Bewitched stamp set.  A bit of Orange Truffle twine was used to create the little bow for my tag.  My card was finished off with a few enamel dots.
