APB Release Day 3 - Peppermint Icicle Sequins

Hello!  I'm back over on the Trendy Twine blog with another sneak peek project with the "This is December #2" stamp set, Peppermint Icicle Trendy Twine and some gorgeous Peppermint Icicle Sequins which will be released on Friday.  Such a beautiful color combination which inspired me to create this holiday treat set.
My project started with a plain gift bag which was embellished with some fun holiday papers.  I created a couple of shaker tags using a Christmas Tree from the Tags Bags Boxes and More 2 Cricut cartridge. The Peppermint Icicle Sequins were tucked inside for a fun shaker element.  These tags were tied onto the gift bag with the twine however can easily be removed from the gift bag and to be repurposed.  I stamped a sentiment from the new "This is December 2" stamp set on a scalloped circle and adhered it to the gift bag.
A tube of treats was tucked inside the gift bag which was embellished to coordinate with the bag.  I simply punched another scalloped circle with the same sentiment and adhered it with some twine and coordinating paper.
The second treat box was created with a Clear Box and a belly band which was topped off with a Christmas Tree.  A few fun sequins and another sentiment from the new stamp set was tied on with some twine.  A mini card was the last element to my holiday treat set, it is the perfect size to tuck into the gift bag.
All of these products will be in the store on Friday, October 21st!  Don't forget to head over to the Trendy Twine blog this entire week to check out the sneak peek projects.  Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great day!

APB Release Day 1 - This is December #2

Happy Monday!  I am super excited to be part of this amazing stamp release week with the Trendy Twine Design Team.  Today I am showcasing the new yet to be released "This is December #2" stamp set.  The sentiments are perfect for memory keeping which inspired me to create this single page layout.
I found some adorable papers in my stash from a couple of years ago from the DCWV Jolly Whimsy stack which were the inspiration for my layout page.  I used the Nested Ornament Bulb and Teardrop dies from Cottage Cutz and stamped 3 of them with the Ornament Face Assortment Peachy Keen Stamps.  Each of the ornaments was tied with some beautiful Pinkberry Sorbet Trendy Twine.  The twine was also used to tie the tag to the photo mat. I stamped a sentiment on the tag from the new "This is December #2" stamp set.  Another sentiment was layered on the gold doily, from the DCWV Paper Lace stack.
All of these products will be in the store on Friday, October 21st! Don't forget to stop by the Trendy Twine blog this entire week for some amazing sneak peek projects from the design team.  Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a fabulous day!

Friends Friday with DCWV & Chameleon Pens

Happy Friday!  I am excited to be part of this fun filled Friday with DCWV and our friends over at Chameleon Pens!  This the second installment of this collaboration between the 2 design teams.  You will definitely want to head over to each of their pages to comment to win some goodies!
I am passionate about paisley which inspired me to create my card.  The paisley pattern is a huge part of the Indian culture and can be found everywhere from decor to henna to wedding attire. When I saw the paisley pattern in the DCWV Color and Create pages, I was immediately drawn to it.  I used the Chameleon Warm Tones 5 pen set to color my paisley image.  The colors in this set were eye catching and perfect.  These pens are so unique, I was amazed at how you can easily fuse the pen for a few seconds to create a shaded effect.  There is so much depth and definition with each individual pen.  It was relaxing to sit down and color in each of the details on my image.
After coloring my image, I cut it down to create the focal point of my card.  The image was matted on coordinating papers from the DCWV DIY Project Stack Paper Plants.  The pink papers from this stack were the perfect compliment to the colored image.  Once my card was matted, I felt it needed some additional details so I added a bit of doodling with my white gel pen and lots of pearl stickers around the paisley.  The finishing touch was a small hand cut flag with a sentiment from the APB You & Me stamp set.
Thanks so much for stopping by!  Don't forget to head on over to the DCWV & Chameleon Pens blogs to be entered in the giveaways!

DCWV - Shaker Tags

Hello! I have a project to share over on the DCWV blog today with some fun new products.  I created these adorable shaker tags with the 6x6 Spooky Night Mini Stack available at Joann Stores.  This stack is double sided and has some amazing patterned papers for Halloween.  I love that the fun tags were part of the stack so all I had to do was use my paper cutter and trim them to a 2x3 inch size for the tags.
Once my tags were cut, I use my We R Memory Keepers Fuse Tool to create a clear pocket for the tags.  I filled the pocket with a mix of sequins and then sealed the top closed.  After punching a hole in the corner, I embellished the tags with some fun charms from Blue Moon Beads which are also available at Joann Stores.  The charms were tied to the tag with some Totally Pumpkin Trendy Twine.
Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a wonderfully crafty day!

The fun and festive papers are from the DCWV Spooky Night and Halloween Night Stacks.  I added a bling circle behind the ghost from Want 2 Scrap.  I found the perfect sentiment from the APB Happy Halloween Stamp set.  A small bow in Lime Licorice was the finishing touch on my card.

DCWV - October Stack-a-holic Challenge

Hello!  There's a new Stack-a-holic Challenge over at DCWV for October.  Every month DCWV hosts a challenge with both a card sketch and a layout sketch.  I was inspired by the card sketch to create this Halloween card with the new Spooky Night Mini Stack from DCWV available at Joanns.
I used a die to cut the ghost and make him the focal point of my card.  I love that the ghost was part of the paper stack making it quick and easy to create my card.  A sentiment tag was added from the Halloween Night Stack.  The prints in both of these stacks coordinate perfectly and can be used together on projects.
Here is the sketch challenge for the card:

Hello Pumpkin

Halloween has to be one of my favorite seasons to craft for which makes it easy for me to get into my craft room to whip out some fun projects.  Today I have a set of tags I created with my new Peachy Keen One Eyed Face Assortment Stamps.  The eerie eyes on this stamp set are so fun and you've got to love those stitched mouths!
My tags were created with the DCWV Spooky Night Stack.  Once I created the patterned tag, I used lots of fun products from Annie's Paper Boutique to accent them.  The patterned paper tag was layered with Kraft Tag Its which were embellished with a Trendy Page Dot.  I stamped the adorable sentiment from the new APB Happy Thanksgiving stamp set and added some Orange Licorice Trendy Twine as an accent.  A border punched from the Drippy Goo border punch was adhered to the bottom edge of the tag.

Trendy Twine - Boo

Happy Monday!  I have a fun card to share over on the Trendy Twine blog today featuring some gorgeous Grape Limeade Trendy Twine and an adorable Chevron Treat Bag.   The papers are from the DCWV Halloween Night stack and coordinated perfectly with the twine.  I layered the treat bag in the center of my card and accented it with a doily.  Some twine was wrapped around the treat bag along with a small banner from the paper stack.  A sentiment from the APB Happy Halloween stamp set was stamped on a small tag and adhered to the center of the treat bag.
I tucked in a tag which was embellished with a Lime Grapesicle Seal.  The treat bag is the perfect size to tuck in a gift card.  The Witch Pumpkin from KaDoodle Bug Designs was added as an embellishment to the front of my card.  The pumpkin's face was stamped with the Peachy Keen Pumpkin Faces stamp set. A few punched bats were scattered for a finishing touch.

Happy Thanksgiving Stamp Release

Hello!  I am so super excited to be participating in another special stamp release with the Trendy Twine Design Team.  We are sharing some fun projects with the new Happy Thanksgiving stamp set from Annie's Paper Boutique.
This stamp set is a fun combination of Fall sentiments, I can see myself using it on so many different projects, it is really a must have set!
For my project, I created a "thank you" gift set using some fall papers from the DCWV Autumn Leaves and Gold Threaded Stacks.  A kraft doily from my stash was used to break up the different patterned papers.  Three hand cut flags in different sizes were the focus for the sentiment. Some gorgeous Totally Kraft Trendy Twine and a sparkly flower were the finishing touch on my card.
There's nothing like receiving a fun treat along with a card.  I used a Kraft Pillow Box wrapped in burlap and paper for a gift box.  The hand cut sentiment is from the new Happy Thanksgiving stamp set and was accented with a small twine bow.
Head on over to the Trendy Twine Blog to check out the amazing projects created by the design team. The new Happy Thanksgiving stamps and crafty goodies are available now from Annie's Paper Boutique.  Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great day!
