Craftwell - Gratitude Journal

Hello!  This is my second post for the day on my blog and my first post on the Craftwell blog. My project focuses on "mom life".   I think it is extremely important to focus on the positive in my life.  Being a working mom with tons of daily obligations, I like to take the time to focus on the best part of my day.  One of the ways to do this is to keep a gratitude journal and with Thanksgiving right around the corner I thought it was the perfect time to create one.
My project started with a simple journal I had in my stash and I selected some fall papers from the DCWV Autumn Leaves stack for the cover.  I used my electronic cutting machine to cut out some leaves, the "grateful" title and a scalloped circle.  The Teresa Collins Herringbone embossing folder was used to emboss the scalloped circle for some added texture.  A strip of coordinating washi tape and some tulle were the perfect embellishments for the cover.
Once the cover was finished, I decided to cut a few decorative elements to add to some of the pages. The die cut pieces are from the Teresa Collins Thankful Pocket Dies, they were absolutely perfect for my journal.

All of the die cuts were transformed with my eBrush which adds so much depth and dimension.  The eBrushed leaves are so colorful and unique based upon the color of the Sharpie pens used on each leaf.  I added a few leaves to the inside of my journal too.  I plan to use the tag as a bookmark so I embellished it with a matching paper clip, button and some Totally Navy Trendy Twine.
The die cuts were adhered to a few pages leaving most of them free for journaling. I think this will be a fun way not only to document the positive in my life but also to have the family contribute during the Thanksgiving holiday.  The journal can be a great tool for memory keeping and even adding pictures.  The little kids in the family can even draw pictures. The finished journal would make such a great gift for the grandparents.
Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a wonderful day!

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween!  I thought I would share a fun and festive tag I created using many of my favorite products!  The base of my card was cut from the DCWV Halloween Night and Spooky Night stacks. I added the Witchy Ghost from KaDoodle Bug Designs and stamped the face with the Peachy Keen Variety Face Assortment Stamps.  Some Stickles were added to the hat for a sparkly effect.
The sentiment is from the APB Happy Halloween stamp set and was stamped on a hand cut flag. Some coordinating Trendy Twine in Orange Licorice was the finishing touch on my tag.
Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a wonderful and safe Halloween!

DCWV and Pink & Main Fun Fall Blog Hop

Happy Friday!  I am super excited to be part of the fun Fall Blog Hop with DCWV and Pink & Main. You will see some amazing projects from the 2 design teams and even a couple of giveaways.  You should have come over to my blog from Monique's blog.
For my project, I created a hostess gift bag with the 12x12 DCWV Autumn Leaves stack.  I used my Cricut Explore and a SVG file shared in one of the Cricut groups to cut out my gift bag.
The gift bag was embellished with a few coordinating bling stickers and a small tag tied with some May Arts ribbon.  I embellished the tag with a couple of feathers from the Pink & Main Wild About You stamp set.  The matching Pink & Main die set made it so easy to cut out the feathers.
For my card I used both the 6x6 and 12x12 Autumn Leaves stacks.   A few more feathers were added to the front of the card along with the sweet fox (also from the Pink & Main Wild About You stamp set) which was colored with my Chameleon Pens. The finishing touch was a sentiment from the Pink & Main Thankful stamp set.
Next on the hop is Stacey, so head on over to check out her amazing project.  Don't forget to head over to the DCWV and Pink & Main blogs to check out all of the amazing projects and comment to be entered into the giveaways!  Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a fantastic day!

Hello, I have a fun shaker card to share today created with the new Ornament Face Assortment Peachy Keen Stamps.  I used the Nested Ornament Star dies from Cottage Cutz to create the shaker ornament, stamped the face inside and added a few sequins.
A small twine bow in Totally Red Trendy Twine was the perfect embellishment for the ornament.  I punched out a few smaller stars and added them to my card.  A sentiment from the new APB Merry & Bright stamp set was the finishing touch on my card.

Trendy Twine - Love Layout

Happy Monday!  I have a single page layout to share over on the Trendy Twine blog today featuring some gorgeous Grape Limeade Trendy Twine.  As I was trying to figure out my layout using the lime and purple colors I really wanted to think outside the box and try to create a project that wasn't necessarily Halloween themed.  I found the perfect coordinating papers in the DCWV Violet Leaf and Halloween Night Stacks.  The colors and patterns in these two paper stacks complimented the twine perfectly.
I used the twine on my layout to break up the patterned paper and created a couple flourishes with the twine.  Several paper flowers were clustered as an embellishment drawing the colors from the twine and papers.  As a finishing touch, I adhered a doily under the photo mat from the DCWV Paper Lace stack.
Check out the twine used on my layout and all of the other colors available for Halloween along with many other crafty products in the store. Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a fantastic day!

Hello! I have a project to share with some Halloween products from DCWV.  DCWV has some amazing collections available for Halloween and I just love that there are some elegant papers which are perfect for home decor projects.  All of the products used for my project are available at Joann stores.
The rosettes were created from the DCWV Halloween Night Stack. The copper and black papers are such a pretty combination.  The center of the large rosette was punched with a scalloped circle from the DCWV Spooky Night Mini Stack.  The centers of the smaller rosettes and the banner behind the rosettes are from the DIY - Hats, Cats, Bats Stack.  To finish off my frame, I attached a Blue Moon Beads Spider Charm with some Totally Black Trendy Twine.

APB Release Day 3 - Peppermint Icicle Sequins

Hello!  I'm back over on the Trendy Twine blog with another sneak peek project with the "This is December #2" stamp set, Peppermint Icicle Trendy Twine and some gorgeous Peppermint Icicle Sequins which will be released on Friday.  Such a beautiful color combination which inspired me to create this holiday treat set.
My project started with a plain gift bag which was embellished with some fun holiday papers.  I created a couple of shaker tags using a Christmas Tree from the Tags Bags Boxes and More 2 Cricut cartridge. The Peppermint Icicle Sequins were tucked inside for a fun shaker element.  These tags were tied onto the gift bag with the twine however can easily be removed from the gift bag and to be repurposed.  I stamped a sentiment from the new "This is December 2" stamp set on a scalloped circle and adhered it to the gift bag.
A tube of treats was tucked inside the gift bag which was embellished to coordinate with the bag.  I simply punched another scalloped circle with the same sentiment and adhered it with some twine and coordinating paper.
The second treat box was created with a Clear Box and a belly band which was topped off with a Christmas Tree.  A few fun sequins and another sentiment from the new stamp set was tied on with some twine.  A mini card was the last element to my holiday treat set, it is the perfect size to tuck into the gift bag.
All of these products will be in the store on Friday, October 21st!  Don't forget to head over to the Trendy Twine blog this entire week to check out the sneak peek projects.  Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great day!

Happy Monday!  I am super excited to be part of this amazing stamp release week with the Trendy Twine Design Team.  Today I am showcasing the new yet to be released "This is December #2" stamp set.  The sentiments are perfect for memory keeping which inspired me to create this single page layout.
I found some adorable papers in my stash from a couple of years ago from the DCWV Jolly Whimsy stack which were the inspiration for my layout page.  I used the Nested Ornament Bulb and Teardrop dies from Cottage Cutz and stamped 3 of them with the Ornament Face Assortment Peachy Keen Stamps.  Each of the ornaments was tied with some beautiful Pinkberry Sorbet Trendy Twine.  The twine was also used to tie the tag to the photo mat. I stamped a sentiment on the tag from the new "This is December #2" stamp set.  Another sentiment was layered on the gold doily, from the DCWV Paper Lace stack.

Friends Friday with DCWV & Chameleon Pens

Happy Friday!  I am excited to be part of this fun filled Friday with DCWV and our friends over at Chameleon Pens!  This the second installment of this collaboration between the 2 design teams.  You will definitely want to head over to each of their pages to comment to win some goodies!
I am passionate about paisley which inspired me to create my card.  The paisley pattern is a huge part of the Indian culture and can be found everywhere from decor to henna to wedding attire. When I saw the paisley pattern in the DCWV Color and Create pages, I was immediately drawn to it.  I used the Chameleon Warm Tones 5 pen set to color my paisley image.  The colors in this set were eye catching and perfect.  These pens are so unique, I was amazed at how you can easily fuse the pen for a few seconds to create a shaded effect.  There is so much depth and definition with each individual pen.  It was relaxing to sit down and color in each of the details on my image.
After coloring my image, I cut it down to create the focal point of my card.  The image was matted on coordinating papers from the DCWV DIY Project Stack Paper Plants.  The pink papers from this stack were the perfect compliment to the colored image.  Once my card was matted, I felt it needed some additional details so I added a bit of doodling with my white gel pen and lots of pearl stickers around the paisley.  The finishing touch was a small hand cut flag with a sentiment from the APB You & Me stamp set.
Thanks so much for stopping by!  Don't forget to head on over to the DCWV & Chameleon Pens blogs to be entered in the giveaways!

DCWV - Shaker Tags

Hello! I have a project to share over on the DCWV blog today with some fun new products.  I created these adorable shaker tags with the 6x6 Spooky Night Mini Stack available at Joann Stores.  This stack is double sided and has some amazing patterned papers for Halloween.  I love that the fun tags were part of the stack so all I had to do was use my paper cutter and trim them to a 2x3 inch size for the tags.
Once my tags were cut, I use my We R Memory Keepers Fuse Tool to create a clear pocket for the tags.  I filled the pocket with a mix of sequins and then sealed the top closed.  After punching a hole in the corner, I embellished the tags with some fun charms from Blue Moon Beads which are also available at Joann Stores.  The charms were tied to the tag with some Totally Pumpkin Trendy Twine.
Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a wonderfully crafty day!
