Craftwell - Lunch Box Notes

Happy Monday! I have a set of lunch box notes to share today over on the Craftwell blog.  I thought these would be a fun project idea to slip into lunch boxes with some happy thoughts for the day.

To create my note cards I simply ran some papers from the DCWV Watercolor Ombre stack through my Cut 'n' Boss using a shaped die.  I stamped the lines onto the die cut to make the writing easier.

Next, I chose to cut some veggies with my electronic die cutter for a fun twist to the lunch box notes.

The eBrush was used to add a shaded effect to each of the die cut pieces.  I used my Sharpies in the eBrush to add the perfect amount of depth and dimension to each piece.

Here is a before and after picture of my die cuts, the transformation is amazing.  Just a bit of shading using the eBrush adds so much character to the die cuts.

Just for You Card

Hello!  I received the most amazing design team package from DCWV with several new stacks of paper.  I just love that they are all double sided.  The new stacks even have a lower price point so I know I will be picking up a few more of the new ones.  These stacks are starting to show up in Joann Stores.  I created this fun "V pleated drapery card" with the new Blue China stack.  This stack is a beautiful mix of shades of blue, the patterns are absolutely stunning.

I used a sentiment card from the same stack and layered it on a card base cut with the Stitched Rectangle dies from Gina Marie Designs.  I also used a simple die for the flower which was inked on the edges and layered for added dimension.  I followed a Pinterest tutorial for the V pleated drapery fold and adhered it to the base of my card.

Trendy Twine - Gift Card Holder

Hello!  Today I am sharing a quick gift card holder over on the Trendy Twine blog featuring some beautiful Totally Pink Trendy Twine.  I used a Small Glassine Bag which was punched on the edge and then embossed for a decorative finish.

I added a tag from the DCWV Watercolor stack to the bag and embellished it with some die cut hearts in different sizes.  A gold clip was used to attach the tag to the glassine bag.  A few accents of Totally Pink twine were the finishing touch on my project.

DCWV - Four Fold Card

Hello! Today I have a project to share over on the DCWV blog.  For my project, I created a Four Fold Card with the new Copper Luxury stack available at Joann stores.  This stack is the perfect mix of pink, shades of mint and copper foil. These papers scream Spring which inspired me to create a card for my daughter's birthday next month.

I followed a tutorial on Pinterest to create this card which opens up to four different panels.  All of the papers are from the Copper Luxury stack and since they are double sided, the mats coordinate perfectly with the patterned paper.

I fussy cut the flowers from one of the pages in the stack and used the different sizes to decorate my card. The flags were also die cut from the same stack.  I added a doily to the back panel as a decorative element.

The sentiments are from the Scrappy Moms Birthday Hugs (retired) stamp set.  Several scattered sequins were adhered to each panel of the card.

Trendy Twine - Treat Set

Happy Monday!  I have a Valentine's treat set to share over on the Trendy Twine blog featuring some gorgeous Totally Pink Trendy Twine.  I embellished a Small Kraft Gable Box with papers from the DCWV DIY Project Stacks - Mini Albums and Tags.  The gable box is the perfect size for tucking in some yummy treats.

I used the Stitched Rectangle Dies and Scalloped Stitched Nested Rectangle Dies from Gina Marie Designs to create the base layers of my card.  The tag on the gable box and card were both accented with the Totally Pink twine.  The pop of pink twine was the perfect embellishment on my projects.  A couple of enamel dots finished off my card.

I created some fun pillow boxes with the DCWV DIY Favor Boxes Stack.  I love the non-traditional color for Valentine's Day.  These pillow boxes are the perfect size to tuck in a few treats and a gift card.  Each of the boxes were embellished with different tags from the same stack and some Totally White Trendy Twine.

DCWV - Wall Decor Frame

Hello!  Today I have a home decor project to share over on the DCWV blog which I created for a photo wall. I am completely obsessed with frame gallery walls right now and wanted to create something for my wall. I am also looking forward to incorporating the new DCWV Letterboard frames into my photo wall. For my project, I used the DCWV 12x12 set of 5 Premium Papers - Brown Multipack available at Joann.com.  I love the combination of Corrugate, Laser Cut, Glitter and Shimmer papers in this pack of papers, they coordinate perfectly.  I fussy cut flowers from the Laser Cut page and inked the edges for added dimension.  The fussy cut flowers were adhered to the Corrugate background and embellished with a simple pearl sticker.

I used the Shimmer and Glitter Sheets to cut out the dress form and flower using my electronic die cutter.  The tiny flower was layered on top of a bow made from some crinkle ribbon.  The dress form was adhered with foam dots for added dimension.  I added a tag punched from the Fiskars Tag punch which was embossed with the Cuttlebug Kassie's Brocade embossing folder.  A few die cut hearts and a bit of washi tape were added as decorative elements.

I adhered the Currogate decor to a piece of burlap from the DCWV Burlap Natural Stack.  A bit of burlap ribbon was tied to a 12x12 basic frame and finished off with a bow created with some jute.

Craftwell - Valentine's Treat Jar

Hello, today I have a Valentine's Treat Jar to share over on the Craftwell blog which is perfect for gift giving. I purchased a couple of mason jars during the after Christmas sales and knew they would be perfect for filling with treats.

I used a basic punch and created a simple belly band for my jar.  To add some texture, the belly band was embossed with the gorgeous Love Triangles embossing folder.  Next I shaded the edges of the belly band with my eBrush with 2 different colors for added depth.

I cut out some hearts with the Teresa Collins Pocket Dies.  The 2 smaller hearts were glued together to create a 3D effect.

All of the die cut pieces were adhered to a banner flag which was stamped with a sentiment from the Scrappy Moms Truly, Madly, Deeply (retired) stamp set.  I added the larger heart to the top of the mason jar.  A few scattered enamel dots were the finishing touch on my project.

DCWV - February Stack-a-holic Challenge

Hello!  It's the beginning of the month and that means it's time for another challenge over at DCWV! For my project I went to my collection of DCWV DIY Project stacks and used papers from the Mini Albums and Tags stacks.  I love to repurpose the stacks and use them for all kinds of projects.

The patterned acetate is absolutely gorgeous which I layered against the solid gray.  I used the Stitched Rectangle Dies from Gina Marie Designs for the base layers of my card.  Next I added the large tag and tucked in a scalloped circle and adhered a heart over the tag.  The gold sentiment is also from the Mini Albums stack and was adhered on a hand cut flag.  I used some Glue Dots to ensure everything was secure against the acetate background.  A few enamel dots and a small bow in Totally Kraft Trendy Twine was the finishing touch on my card.
