Snowflakes are Kisses Sent from Heaven

Hello!  Today I have a CAS card to share created with the Snowflake Border Die from Gina Marie Designs.  This is such a beautiful border die so I kept my card very simple to showcase the die.  To create the background of my card, I used some Distress Inks and misted the background with water.

The sentiment is from the Scrappy Moms Winter Wishes (retired) stamp set and was embossed with some silver embossing powder.  A few Patriotic Sparkle enamel dots were the finishing touch on my card.

Hello!  I have another "Christmas in July" card to share created with the  Cut in Cut Out Christmas Tree Die Set from Gina Marie Designs.  This set comes with 2 dies, the inner die and an outside circle which provides a couple of different ways to use this die.  I used the die to cut out the Christmas Tree background with some gold card stock for an elegant look.  The solid circle was used for the black background so the gold would pop against the black background.

I also used the solid circle to cut through the white card stock setting in the die cut Christmas Tree background.  Everything was adhered on a black and white striped background. The sentiment is from the Scrappy Moms Christmas Cheer (retired) stamp set.  A few sequins and stars were adhered on the front of the card base for a finishing touch.

Aloha

Hello!  Today I have a super fun card to share created with the Aloha Tropical Drink Die Set and Slash Stitched Circle Die Set from Gina Marie Designs. The base of my card is from the DCWV with the DIY - Folded Fans stack.  I loved the chevron pattern and color so I  cut the base of my card with the Stitched Rectangles Die Set and layered it with the die cut circle.

Other than the greenery, all of the other die cuts were cut twice and inked for added dimension.  I added some Stickles to the hibiscus and some glossy accents to the cocktail.  The Unicorn Sparkle Glitter enamel dots were the finishing accent on my card.

Birthday Wishes

Hello!  Today I have another inky project to share using some Oxide Inks and stamps.  I'm loving the Oxide Inks and I can't wait to pick up the new colors that were just released.  For this card I used 2 colors to create a unique looking background for my card.

I used Fired Brick and Faded Jeans and did some random ink blending on my card base.  The ink blenders gave the card stock a smooth, chalky finish.  Next I added the Medium Round Medallion stamp from Victorine Originals to a stamping block and sprayed it with some water.  I stamped the Medallion randomly all over my card base, removing some of the access water off of the card base by dabbing it.

As my card base dried, I used the same stamp and heat embossed it on a piece of paper with Ranger Super Fine White Embossing Power.  Then I added the Fired Brick ink over the embossed image, again wiping off any access ensuring the white embossed image looked bright.

I mixed a bit of acrylic white paint with some water and splattered my card base with it.  While waiting for my card base to dry, I fussy cut the medallion.  I used some Classic Navy Trendy Twine and Pink and Main's Hello Sweet stamp set to add to my card.  The sentiment was stamped on a Fish Tail Banner from Gina Marie Designs and wrapped with the twine. A few Ocean Sparkle Enamel Dots were the perfect finishing touch on my card.

Hello! Today I am sharing another "Christmas in July" themed card showcasing the Antler Merry Christmas Die from Gina Marie Designs.  I used several other dies including the Stitched Rectangles Dies Set, the Nested-Scalloped Stitched Rectangles and the Arched Stitched Tag Die Set.

A fun Trendy Page Dot complimented the papers.  A bit of Watermelon Taffy Trendy Twine was the perfect accent on my card.  The finishing touch was a few Watermelon Colors enamel dots.

Thinking of You

Hello!  Today I'm sharing a shaker style card.  I followed a Jennifer McGuire Ink tutorial to create this card.  I used the tulle for the shaker window which makes the card less bulky.  I also love the sheer look of the tulle.

The base of my card was created using some Oxide Inks.  I used the Double Stitched In and Out Cut Heart Die Set from Gina Marie Designs for the heart cut out for my shaker.  Some iridescent sequins worked perfectly inside the tulle shaker.

I heat embossed the sentiment from the Scrappy Moms From the Inside Out (retired) stamp set.  The butterflies are from a Hampton Art stamp set and were also heat embossed, inked and fussy cut.  I added some Soft Pink Pearls for the trail.

Trendy Twine - Happy Birthday

Hello!  I have a treat project to share over on the Trendy Twine blog featuring Bubblegum Taffy twine.  The twist of aqua, white and pink is so fun and festive.  It was the perfect accent for a couple of birthday treats I created.

My project started with a striped popcorn container which was layered with a fun shaped tag.  I simply added a sentiment from the APB Smile stamp set.  I used the same stamp set for the sentiment on the Pink Tag-Its.  The tag was embellished with a Pink Midnight Trendy Page Dot.

Next, I adhered the tag to the candy bag with some Pretty in Pink Ribbon and twine.  A small die cut flower was added to the front of the treat container. The finishing touch was several enamel dots.

Have a Cup of Cheer

Hello!  Today I'm sharing a "Christmas in July" themed card.  Although it's been hovering around 100 degrees in my neck of the woods, I thought it would be fun to change it up a bit on my blog.   This card was created with the Reindeer Cocoa Die Set available from Gina Marie Designs.  The cocoa mug was layered on a hexagon cut from the Stitched Hexagon Die Set.  The base of my card was cut with the Stitched Rectangles Die Set.

The snowflake came from my stash and was accented with a single enamel dot from the Nautical Ocean Colors set.  The sentiment t is from the Scrappy Moms Merry & Bright (retired) stamp set.  The finishing accent was some Sky Trendy Twine.

Hello!  Today I have a card to share showcasing a gorgeous Triburst Background 6x6 Stencil from Gina Marie Designs. This is just one of the 4 new GMD stencils.

To create my card, I gathered my supplies: DCWV Kraft card stock trimmed to 4x5.25 inches, Ranger Texture Paste, Ranger Super Fine Detail Embossing Power, a plastic palette knife, Posy Trendy Twine and a sentiment tag from my stash.

I used the stencil to initially dry emboss my card base by running it through my Sizzix Big Kick with an embossing mat.  The dry embossing gives the card base some dimension.  Keeping the stencil in place with some washi tape, I applied the Texture Paste to the card stock using the palette knife, spreading it evenly to avoid any clumps.  Once I was pleased with the appearance of the Texture Paste, I gently removed the stencil and sprinkled the card base with the Ranger Super Fine Detail Embossing Powder and set it aside to dry.

Once the paste was completely dry, I heat embossed the powder with my embossing gun.  The finished card base has a gorgeous shiny texture with an enamel looking finish.  I love how elegant it looks.  To finish off my card, I adhered some Posy Trendy Twine to the card base and matted it on a white, top fold card for a complimentary look.

The sentiment tag was popped up on foam dots for added dimension. A few Nautical Ocean enamel dots were the perfect finishing touch on my card.
