Disney Fun Layout

Today I have another disney layout for you.  I am trying to finish scrapbooking my Disneyland pictures from last year.  The layout I created today was inspired by Monique Griffith from Monique Griffith Designs.  Monique is one of my favorite designers, you can check out her fabulous layout here.
Monique's layouts are so detailed which I love, however I don't always have the patience to spend so much time on my layouts.  My version is much more simple.
All of the cuts came from the Mickey and Friends cartridge other than the balloons which were cut from the Mickey Font cartridge.
I used some twine for the balloon string and a white gel pen to add extra detail to the cuts.

Becky's Birthday Blog Hop

Today I am joining Becky for her Birthday Blog Hop.  If you are visiting the blogs in order, you should have come from Gina's blog.  If you just came across my blog and want to start at the beginning, please start at Becky's blog, she also has the line up for the entire blog hop.  Now on to my project:
Birthday Girl Layout

For this layout I used four different cartridges.  The paper for my layout came from the Die Cuts With A View Rockstar Stack.  The title of the layout was cut from the Once Upon A Princess cartridge at 4.0 inches.
The mat is cut from the Elegant Edges cartridge at 10.5 inches.  I cut the mat in half so it would be symmetrical on the two pages.  I added some faux stitching to the mat with a white gel pen.
The presents were cut from the Birthday Bash cartridge at 9.0 inches.  I used the Swiss Dots and Seeing Spots Cuttlebug embossing folders to emboss the presents along with some stickles and a white gel pen for embellishment.
The girl was cut from the Rock Princess cartridge at 10.0 inches.  I used some stickles and a white gel pen to embellish her.
I used the Perfectly Paisley Cuttlebug embossing folder and some black ribbon to embellish the photo mats.
All of the die cuts were popped up on foam dots for added dimension.  I used my white gel pen to add extra detail.
Please remember to become a follower and leave a comment on each of the blogs to be entered to win Becky's blog candy.  Your next stop will be Stephanie's blog.  Thanks for celebrating Becky's Birthday by hopping with us!

Sophomore Year Layout

Today I am sharing this cute layout that I made using my 3 Birds on a Parade cartridge.  I created this layout to scrapbook some pictures of my daughter and her friends during their sophomore year of high school.
All of the cuts are from the 3 Birds on a Parade cartridge including the title.  This cartridge has a very cute font on it.
I used a Martha Stewart punch on the solid strip of paper to separate the two patterned papers.
I used some bling on the photo mats to embellish the plain white paper.  I also used some stickles and a white gel pen on the little chicks and birdies.
This little chick's feathers were embossed with the Animal Prints Cuttlebug embosssing folder.  I will be entering this layout in the following challenges:  Made It Myself Mondays, She's A Sassy LadyScrapbookaholic By Abby Challenge #12Terrific Tuesday Challenge at Scrappy Moms StampsPatches of Pink and Stuck On U Sketches Challenge.

School Friends Layout

In honor of back to school this week, I created this School Friends layout using the Locker Talk and Don Juan cartridges.  I love this notebook paper that I had in my stash.
The title "School Friends", laptop, pennant and calculator were all cut from Locker Talk.  The letters for the pennant were cut from the Don Juan Cartridge.
This was my first project using baker's twine and I really like the look of it on the photo mats.
I also added a button with some twine to the laptop.  I used my white gel pen to add lots of faux stitching to my layout.
I will be using this layout for the Cricut 360Whimsical WednesdayDie Cuttin Divas, and 2 Sister Challenge Blog Back to School Challenges.  This layout is also being entered into The Paper Variety Threads challenge.

Driver's License Layout

Here's a fun layout I created to scrapbook pictures of my daughter the day she received her driver's license a few months ago.  I used 5 different cartridges for this layout.
I really wanted to create a California license plate with my daughters name so I find one on the Holiday Cakes cartridge.
The key was cut from Locker Talk, California was cut from the Billionaire cartridge and Shareen was cut from Don Juan.
I also used two metal buttons for bolts on the license plate.
Both the car and the "Hit the Road" sign were cut from Locker Talk.  The road was cut from My Community.
I kept the colors and cuts very simple on this layout since I wanted the emphasis to be on the license plate.
I again used my white gel pen to add some faux stitching to the sign.

Disney Friends Layout

Today I am a Guest Designer for Crazy About Cricut and it is Mickey and Friends Monday.  I have created a two page layout using the Mickey and Friends and Mickey Font cartridges.
I recently made this layout to scrapbook some pictures from our trip to Disneyland last year.
Each of the characters are cut from the Mickey and Friends cartridge at 4.0 inches.  When cutting out Disney characters, it is best not to cut them any smaller than about 4.0 inches.
There are many small pieces to each of the characters.  I leave the pieces on my mat as I put each character together.  This way I don't lose any pieces.
If you're new to using your Cricut, it is also helpful to use the cartridge handbook so you can see what pieces need to be cut out and in which color.
The title for this layout is cut from the Mickey Font cartridge at 2.0 inches.  Instead of using the shadow feature for this font I just cut the title out twice in different colors and offset the layers.
The Mickey ears on top of each of the photo mats was also cut from the Mickey Font cartridge at 2.0 inches.  The Mickey ticket is also cut from the Mickey Font cartridge at 3.0 inches.
I also used a white gel pen to add extra detail to some of the die cuts.
