Kiss Me I'm Irish Blog Hop

Welcome to Pink By Design's Kiss Me I'm Irish Blog Hop.  In this hop you will see some St. Patrick's Day and some green themed projects.  We hope you enjoy the hop!  If you just came across my blog please start at the Pink By Design Blog.  If you came from Gloria's blog you are in the right place. Now on to my project:
Shamrock Flower Pot
This project was created with the Celebrate with Flourish Lite cartridge.  The set of Shamrocks was cut at 3.5 inches.
I used one of my clear bags to create a candy stick and filled it with green M&M's.  The candy stick is the stem for my shamrock flower pot.
The shamrocks were embellished with my white gel pen and some twine.  I added the "good luck" sentiment from Pink By Design's Scripted Year stamp set.
I thought this would be the perfect good luck gift for my daughter who has her first job interview in a couple of days.
I tied some tulle around my pot and stuffed it with some crinkle paper stuffing.  The candy stick easily stands up in the pot when enough stuffing is used.
I hope you enjoyed my "green" themed project.  Please join the Pink By Design link up party by sharing your own green creations.

Here is the entire line up for the blog hop:

Ooh La La Layout and Winner

This 12x12 double layout was made using the Forever Young cartridge.  This layout was created to scrapbook some fun pictures of my daughter "posing."  I just love to memorialize the fun aspects of my kids personalities at certain points in their lives.  I don't think I could get her to pose for me now even though the pictures for this layout were just take about a year and half ago.
The silhouettes and tag were both cut from the Forever Young cartridge.  On the second page of the layout, I took the negative cut from the tag and added the "ooh la la" as the title and embellished it with my white gel pen.
Instead of cutting out the clothes for the models, I left them as silhouettes.  This also kept the layout from looking too busy.  For a decorative element, I made a loop with some ribbon and added it to each of my photo mats.  This will also be used to pull out the journaling tag.
I used an EK Success border punch to create the edge on the animal print border.  The same punch was used to create the border at the bottom of the tag.  The tag was embellished with some pearls, paper flowers, twine, ribbon and tulle.
The silhouettes and "ooh la la" title were popped up on foam for added dimension. The silhouettes were also embellished with some pearls.

Dr. Seuss Tag and Gift Bag Set

For the Wonderful Wilderness Blog Hop Day 2, please scroll down to that post.

In celebration of Dr. Seuss' Birthday on March 2nd, I created this tag and gift bag set.  I combined some challenges with this project.  The Cricut Circle challenge was to create a gift for a loved, Scrappy Moms challenge was to use a tag and Celebrate the Occasion challenge was thinking of you.  The Timeless Twine challenge was to specifically use aqua, red and white; an odd shape; a Dr. Seuss quote and bling.  I had the perfect aqua, red and white Stampin' Up paper in my stash for this project.  I created this odd shaped tag with the Tags, Bags, Boxes & More cartridge.
The banner was cut from the April Showers cartridge and trimmed it to fit my tag.  I embellished it with some Aqua Timeless Twine.
The quote and hat were printed off the internet and embellished with some Stickles.  I glued the hat to the quote and used pop dots to add dimension.
The tag was finished off with some tulle and a large bling and then attached to the gift bag.

Rumble in the Redwoods Layout
Last summer my son had the opportunity to participant in a 5 day baseball tournament near the Redwoods in Northern California and tournament was called "Rumble in Redwoods".  I am trying to finish up scrapbooking some pictures from last year so I created this layout using the Old West and Camp Out cartridges.
The title was cut from Old West and all of the other cuts came from the Camp Out Solutions cartridge.
I used my favorite Fiskars edge punch to create the grass border at the bottom of the layout.
I accented the sign with a couple of brads and the title with some black pearls to give my layout a more rustic appearance.
I added a solid layer under the photo mats to create a background for my pictures.  I left the top of the photo mats open so the pictures could easily slide into place.

Thank You Card

Today I have a very simple thank you card to share.  The flower and "thank you" were both cut from the Florals Embellished cartridge.
I wanted a very simple card so I used a monochromatic color scheme and did not add any extra embellishments.

It's Your Special Day Card

I needed a quick birthday card so I made this card from a left over tag from another project.  The tag was cut from the Celebrations cartridge and the cupcake came from the Sweet Treats Cartridge.
I embossed the tag with the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug embossing folder and embellished it with the Martha Stewart glitter pens.  A little bit of ribbon was used to finish off the tag.
The cupcake was embossed with the D'vine Swirls Cuttlebug embossing folder and the card base is embossed with the Once Upon A Princess Cuttlebug embossing folder.  The cupcake is topped off with a heart cut from pink glitter paper.  A sentiment from the Mix & Match I set from Docerela Creations finished off the card.

Birthday Wishes Card

This 5x7 card was created using the Tinker Bell and Friends cartridge.  The flower was cut at 5.0 inches. I kept the base of the card very simple so the flower would pop against the plain white background.
I embellished the flower with a variety of Stickles to create a "blinged out" card.  The flower is popped up on foam dots to create dimension.
I also used my white gel pen to added a little bit of doodling to the flowers and the leaves.
The sentiment is a self adhesive woven label from Making memories which is adhered between two bling flowers.

Pretty in Pink Layout

Today I am sharing this one page layout which I created using four different cartridges.  The "Pretty in Pink" title was cut from the Once Upon a Princess cartridge.  I cut off the poodle in the title and added a flower with a brad instead.  I accented the title with a twine bow.
The scalloped circle mat was cut from the Martha Stewart Elegant Cake Art cartridge and the heart was cut from Love Struck.  I used an EK Success punch for the border and adhered some ribbon to the center of it.  I added a button with some twine to the heart.
The photo mat was cut from Elegant Edges and accented with a border from a Martha Stewart border punch.  I finished off the photo mat with some bling, stitching with my white gel pen and a twine bow.

Love You So Much Card

This Valentine's card was created with a some scraps, die cuts and embellishments left over from other projects.  The banner pieces were cut from April Showers and the heart was cut from Love Struck. The XO was stamped from the Scrappy Cat Polka Dot Party stamp set.  I simply attached the banner to the heart with some heart shaped brads and added some doodling with my white gel pen.
The border and the two small hearts were punched with Martha Stewart punches.  I added some flowers from my stash and used bling for the centers.
Since I didn't have the right colors of twine or ribbon for my card, I twisted some blue, pink and white embroidery floss and created a border at the bottom of the card to tie in all of the colors.  The card was finished off with a coordinating embellishment from K&Company.

I Love You Card

I thought it would be fun to create a Valentine's Day card for my husband which had a funny twist to it.  I used the Elegant Edges and Bump in the Night Lite cartridges for this card.  The mat and tag were cut from Elegant Edges and the monster was cut from Bump in the Night.
I thought this little monster was so cute even though she kind of looks like a popsicle.  I embellished my monster with some wiggly eyes, some twine and a little bling.
I wrapped the scalloped mat behind the monster with some twine and pop dotted the monster on to the mat.
I embellished the tag with a Martha Stewart glitter pen, a ribbon bow and added the perfect sentiment from the Pink By Design Vintage Greeting set.  I think my husband will like the monster card and will get a kick out of the background paper with the lipstick kisses.

Feel Better Soon Gift Bag

The Circle weekly challenge required using the Cricut to create a get well soon card or project incorporating a Cuttlebug embossing folder, kraft cardstock and string.  This challenge was timely since my daughter's friend had her wisdom teeth taken out and my daughter wanted to take over a couple of treats.  I chose to decorate this wine bag so we could add a couple of magazines to the bag.
I used the Campin' Critters cartridge for the First Aid bird, Elegant Edges for the mat and Lyrical Letters for the title.  Since there were no layers for the title, I created my own layer by cutting the title out twice in two different colors and off setting the layers.  I added some doodling to the title as an accent.
The mat was embossed with the Polka Dot Cuttlebug embossing folder.  I added wiggly eyes to the bird and pop dotted him on foam to give him a little dimension.
My white gel pen was used to add some stitching to the kraft cardstock and to the border which is punched from an EK Success border punch.  A little bit of string that has been in my stash forever and a couple of buttons tie the whole package together nicely.
