As we approach the end of summer, I created this layout to for a family trip to an amusement park, one of my favorite things during the summer. I used the Phrases cartridge for the title and the Carousel Lite cartridge for both ferris wheels.
The layout was kept fairly simple to provide plenty of space to display amusement park pictures.
The title was popped up on foam dots for added dimension. Two small hand cut flags were added next to the ferris wheel for a pop of color.
A few colored pearls were added to the center of each ferris wheel to coordinate with the patterned paper.
The flag was hand cut to which a sticker from my stash was attached. A small bow in Midnight Trendy Twine finished off the layout.
This tag was created using my stash of scrapbooking goodies. I hand cut the tag and added washi tape to the bottom and wrapped it with Tickled with Teal Trendy Twine. The twine was also used to wrap a toothpick which was added to my hand cut pinwheel. A bling sticker was added to the center.
A small flag was created with more washi tape and adhered to a stick pin. The "enjoy" sentiment is from Docerela Stamps. The tag was finished off with some ribbon, a button and a twine bow.
Today is challenge day over at Docerela Creations and we are showcasing the "Teacher's Pet' stamp set.
The new challenge is to use a border on your project. For my card, I used 2 different borders. One was cut from a patterned sheet of paper and the other was punched with the Notebook Fiskars punch.
I used the Teddy Bear Parade cartridge to cut the school girl bear and the Graphically Speaking cartridge to cut the star. I stamped the star with a sentiment from the new Teacher's Pet stamp set. The small notebook with the A+ was also stamped from the same stamp set. A small twine bow in Celebration Trendy Twine finished off the card.
This fun stamp set is perfect for back to school projects and is available in the shop now. There is more inspiration from the design time on their blogs:
Today is my design day over at the Trendy Twine blog and we are featuring the Celebration twine which was released earlier this month. This is a four color twist of red, white, black and yellow.
It is perfect for celebration projects so I used it to create a birthday card. I have a sneak peek for you, please see the Trendy Twine blog for more details. I used the Mickey and Friends cartridge for Mickey Mouse and added a sentiment from Docerela stamps to the center of the largest circle. Mickey is popped up on foam dots for dimension.

I created this mini card for a gift. It is the perfect size to tuck in some money. I created a rosette, adhered a scalloped circle with a chevron button and finished it off with a bow made from Watermelon Taffy Trendy Twine.
The card was embossed with the Anna Griffin Foulard Cuttlebug embossing folder. A sentiment from Docerela stamps was added to a hand cut flag.
This double page layout was created using the Mickey Font cartridge for the Mickey heads on the two banners.
The Mickey and Friends cartridge was used for all of the other die cuts on my layout.
I added some stitching and doodling with my white gel pen to provide some accent and detail to the die cuts.
This photo mat was added to the center of the Mickey ears to create a display for a family photo from Disneyland. I intentionally pointed the arrows towards the photo mat to highlight this special picture.
A smaller banner with the Mickey ears was also added to the left page of my layout. I loosely threaded the Black Licorice Trendy Twine through the punched holes.
The flags at the bottom of the page were cut by hand. I added some dimensional stickers from my stash to the flags.
Today the Trendy Twine Design team has a special post for the release of the new Halloween twine colors, there are 5 new colors to choose from. I used the Trick or Treat twine for my project. This twine is a festive twist of orange and purple just in time for Halloween.
I created a treat using the My Creative Time Stitched Lollipop Holder Die. I added a metal tag to the front and outlined it in Black Licorice Trendy Twine. I added a small spider to the tag which was cut from the Designer's Calendar cartridge. The spider was outlined with the Trick or Treat twine.
I used some twine on the bottom of the treat holder and also a small bow to the hand cut flag. The sentiment was printed on my printer.
Check out the store for this new twine color which is available now along with 4 other new colors, they will be perfect for those Halloween projects! For today only, you can get all 5 spools for $42, now that is a sweet deal!

Today is my design day over at Docerela Creations and I have a sneak peek project featuring the new stamps which will be released on Friday. For my project, I created an apple shaped card using A Child's Year cartridge.
I embossed the apple with the Diamond Plate Cuttlebug embossing folder and added some coordinating Ric Rac trim. The edges of the apple and leaves were inked for some definition. A small bow with Limeade Trendy Twine and a chevron button was used to embellish the small hand cut flag with a sentiment from the new stamp set.

Welcome to Trendy Twine's special release of color #50. The Trendy Gals are showcasing the new color, "Celebration". This is a very unique twine consisting of 4 different colors; red, yellow, black and white.
For my project, I created this double page 12x12 layout featuring a Disney theme which is perfect for the new Celebration twine.
All of the die cuts for my layout are from the Mickey and Friends cartridge other than the ticket with the Mickey ears which is cut from the Mickey Font cartridge.
I used the EK Success Zig Zag border punch for the 2 borders on my layout. The borders are slightly embossed with the punch too.
The Celebration twine was used to embellish the balloons by punching a hole in them and adding the twine. I then tied the balloons together with a little bow.
The Mickey tag was embellished with some ribbon and a small twine bow. I created another smaller tag and added a Mickey button to it and tied it with the twine at the top.
More twine was used for this small banner and also for the the flags with sentiments. I used several different sentiments on my layout. The "fun" sentiment is from Docerela stamps, the "2013 and Happy Place" is from a Smash stamp. The other 2 sentiments are from Scrappy Moms stamps.
A few stars and a large die cut Mickey Mouse were the perfect finishing touch for my Disney layout.
The new twine is available in the store now. Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!
