Hello! Today I have a card to share which was created with the DCWV Paint and Create Heart of Gold Paper.  Instead of using the water colors which come with this set, I used my Chameleon pens to color the flowers.  I was a bit intimidated to color but was amazed at how easy it is to use the Chameleon Pens.  I love the shading on the flowers with these pens.
The sentiment was cut using a die and adhered to the colored page.  I trimmed the colored image to fit a 5x7 card.  A few die cut flowers and sequins were the finishing touch on my card.

Oriental Trading - Halloween Cards

Hello!  Today I have a special project to share featuring some Halloween products from Oriental Trading.  I was amazed at how many fun and festive items are available for Halloween.  For my cards I used the Halloween Basic Pattern Paper Assortment and mixed several of the different patterns.  I focused each card on the images available in the paper collection and the embellishments complimented the focal point.
Each card was accented with some Halloween flowers and metal embellishments from the Fall Embellishment Kit.  The clips and brads from the assortment are only a sample of the items from this kit.
My cards were also embellished with the Halloween Washi tape set.  The fun patterns were the perfect compliment to the pattern papers and embellishments on my card.  The finishing touch on each of my cards was some coordinating Trendy Twine.
I hoped you enjoyed checking out my projects using my new goodies from Oriental Trading. These items are available in the Halloween Headquarters from Oriental Trading. Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great day!

This review is based strictly on my opinion.  I was provided the samples free of charge by Oriental Trading to provide my honest review.  No other type of compensation was received.  All ideas and opinions are my own.

Happy Monday!  Today I have another card to share created with the new Peachy Keen Stamps released for Halloween!  They are absolutely adorable!  For this fun card I used the Silly Spooky Stamp Set and the new digital images.  Since coloring is really not my thing,  I simply printed the digital image on colored card stock and fussy cut it to fit the frame of my card.
My Martha Stewart Drippy Goo punch was used to add the border along the top edge of the frame and accented with a few enamel dots.  I tied on a sentiment from the APB Happy Halloween stamp set with some Lime Licorice Trendy Twine.  A tiny bit of washi finished off my card.
Head on over to Peachy Keen Stamps to take advantage of the promo pricing! Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a wonderful day!

Happy Halloween

I am so excited to be sharing a Halloween card created with some new Peachy Keen Stamps.  As my crafty friends know I love my Peachy Keen Stamps and am always up for the opportunity to play with them. The first pumpkin is from the new Itchy Stitchy Face Assortment and the second one is from the Funny Fangs Assortment.  How cute are these faces with their adorable fangs!
The base of my card was created with the DCWV Fall & Halloween Combo Matstack.  I layered a pumpkin doily on top and added a sentiment from the Scrappy Moms Bewitched (retired) stamp set. Spooktacular Taffy Trendy Twine was the perfect color combination for the tiny bows on the pumpkins.
These adorable stamps are available over at Peachy Keen Stamps.  Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a fantastic day!

DCWV - Treat Jar

Hello! I have a project to share over on the DCWV blog featuring the new Lia Griffith Fall Paper Flowers and the Tags and Labels Stacks available at Joann stores.  Since today is the first day of Fall why not share a gift giving idea for the upcoming holiday season.  I created a "cookie mix in a jar" for a gift and wrapped the jar with some DCWV Gold Threaded Burlap. Although hard to see in the pictures, this burlap has sparkly gold accents throughout and is so beautiful.
The large flower was the perfect compliment to the treat jar.  I scrunched it up a bit since it was oversized and I didn't want it to cover all of the burlap.  A couple of leaves from the same stack were tucked in behind the flower and adhered with several glue dots.  Some jute was wrapped around the lid and a tag from the Lia Griffith Tags and Labels Stack was tied to the lid.  The finishing touch was a scalloped circle punched from the remaining scraps which was was adhered to the the lid of the jar.

Trendy Twine - Beach Day

Happy Monday!  I have a single page layout to share over on the Trendy Twine blog today featuring some Lemon Peppermint Trendy Twine.  With the end of Summer upon us, I needed to get one last Summer layout in my scrapbook.  My layout page was created with papers from the DCWV Tahiti Beach Stack.  I used several different patterned papers which all coordinated perfectly with the Lemon Peppermint Twine.
The title was cut from the Baby Steps Cricut cartridge and welded together using my Cricut Explore. The arrows were cut from different dies.  The twine was used to accent the background paper by adhering it in a half circle directly on the paper.  I added a Manila Tag to the center of the twine circle and stamped a sentiment and arrow from the Documenting Everyday stamp set.  A Trendy Page Dot was used to embellish the tag along with some paper and more twine.  The tiny stamped arrow and all of the other sentiments are from the same stamp set.  A couple of metal buttons and some enamel dots finished off my layout page.

DCWV - Shadow Box

Hello! Today I have project to share over on the DCWV blog with one of the new Halloween stacks available at Joanns. Why not take all of these cute elements from the DCWV Halloween Night Stack and create a fun decor shadow box.  This could not be easier to put together.  Some quick measurement of the shadow box and I quickly lined it with the festive papers from the stack.
Each box had it's own design anywhere from a simple title, some word art, a rosette center piece, to a pumpkin patch or spooky scene.  A few die cuts from my collection of Halloween punches were the perfect accents to these gorgeous papers.  I added a few embellishments including a fun brad, a "31" chipboard piece and some Orange Licorice Trendy Twine from my stash.  A couple of skeleton head charms from Blue Moon Beads were tied to the top with some more twine.
This was a quick and fun project to create for a home decor item.  It's also a great way to use up those scraps left over from other projects.  Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a crafty day!

Smarty Pants Layout

Happy Monday, today I have a 12x12 layout page to share over on the KaDoodle Bug Design blog. The Cutie KaToodle Field Mouse is a KaDoodle Bug Designs cutting file and I borrowed his glasses from the Graduate Bear file also from KBD.  I wrapped the center of the glasses with some washi tape for a nerdy look.  The title was cut from The First Few Years cartridge and the glasses from the Brooklyn Iron cartridge.
I added some glasses themed washi along the edge of my paper.  A journaling tag was tucked in with a sentiment from the Scrappy Moms Ready, Set, Go (retired) stamp set.  The other sentiment also from Scrappy Moms and is from the Candy Gram (retired) stamp set and stamped on a hand cut sign. A few paper flowers and a some touches of twine in Black Licorice Trendy Twine finished off my layout.

Monogrammed Necklaces

Hello!  Today I have a fun and different project to share.  I received a nice surprise of goodies from Blue Moon Beads called "Made Mine" available at Joann Stores.  There are so many different styles to choose from and the monogram letters are available to personalize the jewelry.  I think I loved playing with the jewelry just as much as I love playing with paper.
I personalized two different necklaces adding a simple "S" to the icon locket and my monogram to the key charm necklace.  They were so quick and simple to put together and will also be perfect for gifts.  Since my daughter has the same initials as me, I can see her stealing these from me.  The fun thing about the icon locket is that you can insert a circle punched out of scrapbooking paper behind the monogram for a customized piece of jewelry, how cool is that?  A one inch punched circle works perfectly.
Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a lovely day!

Trendy Twine - Gift Box

Hello, I have a gift box to share over on the Trendy Twine blog today featuring some gorgeous Lemon Peppermint Trendy Twine.  The bright red and yellow twine with a twist of white was the perfect combination for this bright and cheery gift box.  I started my project with a 3x3 Kraft Box and covered it with some sparkly paper from the DCWV Snapshot Stack and wrapped it with some twine.
I stamped a sentiment from the Smile stamp set on a Yellow Tag-its which was embellished with some washi tape and a Red & White Polka Dot Trendy Page Dot.  The gift box was topped off with a paper flower created from the DCWV DIY Flowers Project Stack.  I created a twine flower center by adhering twine onto a punched circle.
Check out all of the crafty products used on my project in the store. Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a fabulous day!

DCWV - September Stack-a-holic Challenge

Hello!  There's a new Stack-a-holic Challenge over at DCWV for September.  Every month DCWV hosts a challenge with both a card sketch and a layout sketch.  I was inspired by the card sketch to create this Trick or Treat card with the new Halloween Night Stack from DCWV available at Joanns.
The only change I made to the sketch was to layer the banner on top instead of the base of the card, I really loved the fun banner strip so I placed it above the patterned paper.  I also added a pumpkin which was fussy cut from the papers and accented with some Copper Stickles.  A couple of twine embellishments with Trick or Treat Trendy Twine and a small Candy Corn charm from Blue Moon Beads was the finishing touch on my card.
Here is the sketch for the challenge which inspired my card:
Here is the layout sketch:
Head on over to DCWV to check out the design team projects and for the details on how enter this month's challenge for a chance to win a DCWV stack. Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a fantastic day and a great weekend!

Happy Halloween Stamp Release

Hello!  I am excited to be participating in a special stamp release with the Trendy Twine Design Team today.  We are sharing some fun projects with the new Happy Halloween stamp set from Annie's Paper Boutique.  This stamp set is a fun combination of Halloween sentiments.
I created a single page 12x12 layout using the DCWV Halloween Night stack.  I did some fussy cutting to create the banner, the row of pumpkins and the ghosts.  The pumpkins were popped up on foam dots for added dimension.  The papers have copper foil throughout which makes it very hard to take pictures.
My layout page was embellished with some gorgeous Trick or Treat Trendy Twine which matched perfectly with the papers.  All of the sentiments are from the new Happy Halloween stamp set.
Check out the Trendy Twine Blog for the amazing projects created by the design team.  You can head over to Annie's Paper Boutique to purchase the new Happy Halloween stamps and the twine used on my layout page.  Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great day!
