Make A Wish

Hello!  Today I have card to share over on the Scrapping Cottage blog featuring the Wishing Well die from the Magical Garden die release from last year.  This die is so versatile that it can be used for a variety of special occasions.
For my card, I went with more of a rustic design and shaded the die cuts to follow the theme.  A couple of extra flowers were cut for extra embellishments.  I also cut out a piece of fence from the Picket Fence Border die.
The Tim Holtz Brick Pattern embossing folder was used to create the background.  I inked the background with 2 different colors of Oxide Inks to create some depth and dimension.
I began to build my card base by adding the picket fence along the bottom edge.  I trimmed the fence so it would frame the wishing well on each side.
The sentiment was adhered to the card base and a small bow in some jute twine was the final finishing touch on my card.

All Things Grow with Love

Hello!  Today I'm sharing this all occasion card for my design team post on the Scrapping Cottage blog.  I used one of the fun dies from the Gardening die release.
My card features the Garden Ladder, the Pierced Circle Set and a little arrow from the Retro Alphabet die set.
I incorporated a couple of different patterns for my card base on a solid white card panel.  The sentiment was stamped on a strip of solid card stock.
The base of my card came together quickly with the different layers which were topped off with the circle.
The ladder was adhered to the left side of the circle.  The neutral background allows for the gardening elements to pop even in the softer colors.
The sentiment strip was adhered along the top edge of my card.  I added the arrow inside the circle as an embellishment.

Happy Father's Day!

Hello!  Today I'm sharing a Father's Day card over on the Scrapping Cottage blog for my design team post. I went with a simple look for this masculine card.
The paper I selected is from my stash and is the perfect compliment to the outdoor scene.  The die cuts are from the Cottage Cutz Lawnmower and Clouds & Sun die sets.
The grass mound on my card was fussy cut out of patterned paper and adhered onto the card base.  The clouds were floated above.
The sun was tucked into the upper right hand corner of my card.  The lawnmower was then added as the focal point.
The "Happy Father's Day" sentiment was stamped on a hand cut flag and adhered on the grass mound.

Happy Happy Days

Hello!  Today I'm sharing this cheerful card over on the Scrapping Cottage blog for my design team post. I used a couple of fun dies from the Gardening release.
I selected the Garden Wheelbarrow for the focal point of my card and opted to use the accessories from the Gardening Cat die set.  The grass is from the Spring Grass die set. I went with a rustic theme for all of my die cuts, inking the edges with some Vintage Photo Distress Ink.
I created my own background with a brick themed stencil and some Oxide Ink.  Then I used more Vintage Photo Distress Ink around the edges of my card panel.  I fussy cut a couple pieces of kraft card stock to replicate shelves.
The sentiment was stamped on a piece of card stock and embellished with an extra die cut flower.  I also inked the sentiment tag on the edges.
To create my gardening scene, I placed the strip of grass along the bottom edge of my card base and added the wheelbarrow.  The 2 shelves were floated at the top half of my card.
Each of the shelves were accessorized with the watering can, rain boots, apron and basket of flowers.
The shovel was tucked into the grass.  The sentiment tag was the final finishing accent on my card.
