Enjoy...It's Your Special Day!

Hello!  Today I'm sharing this beach themed card over on the Scrapping Cottage blog.  I used the Surf Shack and Day at the Beach die sets.  Both of the die sets are from the latest Beach & Tropical die release.

I created a beachy background for my card by ink blending some Oxide Inks.  The bottom portion of my card was splattered with some paint for a sandy look on the beach.
The die cuts were also shaded with some Oxide Inks and then adhered to my card base creating a fun and whimsical scene.

A Sweet Hello

Hello!  Today I'm sharing another card over on the Scrapping Cottage using one of the sweet birds from the Cottage Cutz Beach & Tropical die release!  There are so many fun dies in this new release I've been having a blast creating with them!

I created an ink blended background, with only one color on the entire card panel.  My card base was then splattered with water.

The toucan paired so well with the pretty hibiscus flowers, I decided to cut out an extra flower for my card. All of my die cuts were shaded with Oxide Inks.
Next, I masked off my card panel and splattered it with some paint at an angle.  I also hand cut a couple of flags. The sentiment was heat embossed on the solid flag.

I adhered the cluster of hibiscus to the background of my card.  I love how the bold colors pop against the yellow!
The sweet bird of paradise was perched up on the patterned flag.  The grouping of hibiscus are so pretty with the coordinating toucan.
The sentiment tag and a few enamel dots were the finishing accents on this tropical card making for a fun way to say hello!

Good Day Sunshine

Hello!  I'm over on the Scrapping Cottage blog sharing a card using the new Cottage Cutz die sets. I wanted to mix up a couple of the die sets from the Beach & Tropical die release which is currently on sale!

I used the Surfboard SUV and a palm tree from the Surf Shack die set to create this beach theme card.
I started by creating the background by blending some bold Oxide Ink colors replicating a bright and sunny beach day.  The circle also got some inking and was stamped with fun sentiment.  The hand cut hill was also shaded with some ink.
Next I created the scene by adding the oversized sun on the top of my card and layering the hand cut hill along the bottom edge.
I'm loving the cool background!  It served as the perfect backdrop for the coordinating Surfboard SUV.
I pieced together the palm tree and affixed it to my card.  The oversized palm is perfect for towering over this beachy scene!
The final card is a bold and beautiful beach scene which is perfect for an all occasion card!

Pink Isn't Just a Color, It's an Attitude!

Hello!  Today I have a new post to share over on the Scrapping Cottage for my design team day!  There's a fun new Beach & Tropical die release in the store which is showcased on my card.  All of these dies are also on sale!
I used the adorable Flamingo w/Hibiscus, the greenery is from the Sloth die set and the surfboards from the Surfer Van die set.
I created a simple background by blending a couple of different colors of Oxide Inks and bit of water. The bottom portion of my card was also splattered with some paint to replicate a sandy beach.
The adorable flamingo was placed on my card striking a contrast against the pop of color on the background.
The bold and fabulous surfboards were tucked into the sand and accented with the tropical palm die cuts.
The sweet sentiment was stamped on some inked up card stock and was the perfect addition to this card.  I embellished the sentiment tag with a few more tropical palms and a tiny flower.
Here is my final card, a fun tropical scene!  This card definitely showcases my love of flamingos!

Sending You Sunny Smiles

Hello!  Today I'm sharing this card over on the Scrapping Cottage blog for my design team day.  There is a brand new release of Beach & Tropical dies which compliment the Pirates & Sea Creatures from the last die release.  Both of the die sets are currently on sale and also showcased on my card!
I cut out the pieces from the Treasure Chest Island, inked up all of my die cuts and put everything together.  I also cut out a tiny flower from the Tropical Bouquet die set.  The oval base and frame are from the Oval  and Pierced Wide Oval Frame sets.
I found this fun paper in my stash and trimmed it to fit my card base, it reminded me of a sandy beach.  I inked the edges for extra dimension.  I also stamped a sentiment on some coordinating card stock.
The oval frame was layered over the oval base and the die cut piecing was affixed to the framed set.
Next, I adhered the tropical scene on my card base.  The sentiment tag was added at the bottom of my card.
The finishing accent on this card was the gorgeous flower which was used to embellish the sentiment tag. All of the little details are amazing on this little flower!
Here are the dies that I used on my card, available in the store:
