Merry Christmas

Hello! Today I'm up over on the Scrapping Cottage blog with a Christmas card to share.  There are so many fabulous new dies available in the store for those holiday creations.  I'm having a blast creating cards with them.

I went with a blue theme for my card and cut out 2 of the gnomes from the Cup O'Gnomes die set. I used the same cup for the gnomes so that they would coordinate.  The snowflakes and Christmas sentiment are from the Christmas Love die set which I paired with the Nested Stitched Eyelet Oval.
The gorgeous striped paper is from my stash of Christmas papers which was complimented by a solid blue card base.  The oval was layered on top of the striped card panel.  I adhered the oval toward the top of my card leaving enough room for the sentiment.
Next, the two gnomes were nestled inside the oval die cut.  They were offset a bit for a whimsical appearance.
A few snowflakes were scattered amongst the gnomes.  I cut one of the snowflakes in half and tucked them behind each of the gnomes.
The oversized sentiment was adhered along the the bottom edge of my card.  The hand cut flag with the embossed sentiment was affixed above.
This non-traditional card will be a fun way to say Merry Christmas during the upcoming holiday season.

Holiday Hugs

Hello!  Today is my design team day over on the Scrapping Cottage blog.  I'm sharing a holiday card with one of the newest releases in the online store.  There are 4 new die releases with a variety of dies for the upcoming holiday season.  The best part is they are all currently on sale!

I started playing with the latest Christmas die release and cut out the pieces from the Snowman Smore die set. The tags are from the Mail Tag Set.
I embossed a piece of kraft card stock with the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug embossing folder.  I selected a red card base for a pop of color.
The embossed card panel was flipped over to the "debossed" side and inked on the edges.  The panel was then layered on the card base.  The finished piece looks more like a graham cracker than the embossed side.
Next, the three tags were tied together with some twine and adhered on my card base.  I offset the tags a bit so each of the colored tags would show just a bit.  The twine brought all of the colors together beautifully!
The Snowman Smore was centered on the top tag fitting perfectly as the focal point of my card.
The sentiment was stamped on a hand cut flag and adhered on the bottom edge of my card.  The sentiment was perfect for the sweet snowman who appears to have his arms out for a holiday hug!

Brew Up Some Fun!

Hello!  With only a couple of weeks away from Halloween, I thought I would share one more card created with the Cottage Cutz Halloween die release.  Today's card is bit different in that it's not traditional but a fun concept.

I used different colors of Oxide Inks to shade all of the die cuts from the Spell Books & Potions and the Witch's Brew die sets.
I punched out a border using the Martha Stewart Drippy Goo border punch.  This punch is an all time favorite.  I used a basic background for my card base and inked it on the edges.  The sentiment was heat embossed on some black card stock.
The border was affixed along the top edge of my card panel while the stack of books was added to the bottom edge.  The witch's hat nested to the side of the books.
The spooky skeleton was displayed on top of the books.  The spider appears to be crawling from behind the books.
The potion bottles were stacked next to one another with a bit of overlapping for a cohesive look.  All of the colors coordinated perfectly.
The sentiment tag was added as the final finishing touch on my card.  The sentiment is a great play on words for this card.

Hello!  Today I'm sharing a this slimline card over on the Scrapping Cottage  blog.  This card features several awesome dies from the Cottage Cutz Halloween die release.

These adorable dies are from the Witchy Jack-O-Lantern, Trick or Treat Ghost and the Spooky Ghost & Crow die sets. I used black and white card stock for all of my die cuts and then simply shaded the pieces with some Oxide Inks.  The moon was splattered with some black paint.
My background was also created with Oxide Inks.  I love using Oxide Inks for all of my projects since they blend so beautifully.  The hills were hand cut, shaded with ink and splattered with some paint.  I glued the 2 pieces together to add some height to the bottom portion of my card.
Once the hill was attached to my card base, the Witchy Jack-O-Lantern was centered on top of the hill.
The adorable ghost was affixed above the Jack-O-Lantern as if he's floating into the night sky.
Next, I adhered the moon in the corner of my card.  The bats were flying around the entire scene on my card.
A simple heat embossed sentiment was added at the bottom of my card.  A couple of little pumpkins were used as embellishments to highlight the sentiment.
Several more sentiment tags were added to my card.  The sentiments work perfectly with the variety of die cuts on my card.

Hooray, It's Halloween Time!

Hello!  Today I have a sweet Halloween card to share over on the Scrapping Cottage blog.  I went with a non traditional card bringing in a variety of dies.  The little puppy from the Christmas Pets die set is one of my favorites with his adorable pirate hat which is borrowed from the Pirate Monkey.  He's definitely ready for a night of Halloween!

My card panel was created with a combination of ink colors and layered on a Nested Scallop Rectangle.  The polka dot background adds a pop of color to this card.  The embellishments were cut from the Spooky Witch House making for a fun addition on my card.  The ghosts floating above the puppy add to the spooky but cute scene.
