Happy Birthday

Hello!  I have another card to share this week over on the Scrapping Cottage blog.  I'm loving the versatility of the new Circus die release.  I created a simple birthday card which would be perfect for a younger child.

I cut out the Circus Train, the bear from the Circus Train Animals and the stars from the Circus Side Show die set.  I went with a cheerful color theme for my die cuts coordinating the colors to the background papers.
I found the star paper in my stash and paired it with a striped panel.  A simple Happy Birthday sentiment was stamped in the corner.
The Circus Train was placed along the edge of the striped paper which helped to align it.  The sweet bear was placed inside the cage with his eyes peeking out.  I added some solid white card stock behind him, it keeps him from blending into the patterned background.
The cluster of stars were affixed above the sentiment.  The extra stars were adhered to the left of the sentiment.
The stars around the sentiment were a fun finishing accent as they coordinate perfectly with the patterned paper!

You're the Tops

Hello!  Today I have a fun circus themed card to share over on Scrapping Cottage blog for my design team post.  I'm showcasing 4 of the die sets from the new Circus die release.  They are currently on sale in the on line store.

I went with a festive design for my slim line card.  The bold pattern was broken up by adding 3 circles from the Circle Set.  Next I nestled in the Leaping Lion, the Circus Tent, and the Prancing Pony into each of the die cut circles.  The arrow from the Circus Signs was perfect for stamping a fun sentiment.  I also stamped a couple of tickets and fussy cut them for my card.

We Make a Great Combo!

Hello!  Today is my design team day over on the Scrapping Cottage blog and I have a super fun card to share!  There's another new die release in the store with some spectacular Circus themed sets.  They are perfect for all types of occasions!  I'm showcasing a couple of the new die sets on my card!

I used colored card stock for my die cuts from the Build-A-Burger and Circus Snacks die sets.  The die cuts were inked on the edges for added dimension.  I printed out the sentiment on my computer and used the Nested Wacky Stitched Oval to cut it out.
The adorable paper for my card base is from the DCWV Good Eats stack and it was layered on a red background.  The paper coordinated perfectly with my die cuts.
Next, I affixed the die cut oval on my card base leaving enough of the patterned paper peaking though on all sides.
The giant burger was placed on my card first which fit nicely between the sentiment and the edge of the oval die cut.
The box of fries was adhered next to the burger toward the upper edge of the oval.
The hot dog came next and fit perfectly in the empty space directly above the sentiment.
This yummy card will be perfect for Valentine's, an anniversary or just because to celebrate that special someone.

You're Elephant-astic!

Hello!  Today I'm sharing a whimsical card over on the Scrapping Cottage blog for my design team day! There's a brand new Circus die release in the on line store consisting of 16 new die sets.  They are all currently on sale and I'm showcasing one of them on my card this week.

I cut out the all of the pieces from the Balancing Elephant using some bright colored card stock.  The elephant was shaded with my Oxide Inks.  I cut out an extra banner to use as an embellishment on my card. I also cut out a Stitched Rounded Rectangle using basic white card stock.
The card stock for my card base is from my stash and coordinated perfectly with the hot pink paper.  I'm really liking this bold color combination.  The whimsical sentiment was stamped on a strip of card stock.
Using the corner rounder punch, I created a layer for the die cut rectangle.  A second punch was used to create an accent border for my card.
The layered rectangles were adhered to my card based and topped off with the punched border.
The elephant was affixed inside the rectangle on top of the stand.  I tucked the extra banner into the corner as an embellishment.
The sentiment strip was stretched along the bottom of my card base, it is such a fun play on words and perfect for my card!

Happy Birthday

Hello!  Today I have a fun card to share over on the Scrapping Cottage blog.  I used one of the die sets from the Safari die release and changed it up to a birthday theme.  These die are so versatile and they work perfectly with all types of cards.

I used card stock to cut out all of the pieces from the Safari Ostrich, the Happy Birthday Phrase, the Oval Set and the Nested Stitched Scallop Oval Set.  The Happy Birthday Phrase was cut out twice for layering.  I went with a neutral theme for my die cuts.
I selected a basic striped paper for my card base.  The diagonal stripes add an element of interest against the set of nested ovals.
I layered the "happy" sentiment and offset it a bit so the white would show.  The sentiment was adhered along the top edge of my card.
Next, I affixed the other half of my sentiment along the bottom edge of my card base.  The layering of the 2 colors adds a shadow element to my sentiment.
The Safari Ostrich was centered inside the set of ovals finishing off my card.  The colors are not my normal go to colors however, I'm really liking the look of the non-traditional theme on this card.
