You're Egg-stra Special!

Hello!  Today I have an Easter card to share over on the Scrapping Cottage blog for my design team day.  I used 2 die set from the new Springtime die release.  These die sets made for the sweetest Easter card!

I used a combination of colored card stock and some Oxide Inks for the die cut pieces.  I ended up cutting out the Hatching Bunny Chick twice.  All of the other die cut pieces are from the Mouse w/Flower Cart.
The background for my card was embossed with the Cuttlebug Chicken Wire embossing folder.  I punched out a strip of grass from the Fiskars Grass border punch. The sentiment sign was cut with my paper trimmer.
Once I adhered the grass border along the bottom edge of my card, I tucked the flowers in the center.
Next, I adhered one of the chicks on the left side of my card angling him just a bit for a whimsical appearance.
The other chick was affixed on the opposite side of my card, also angled a tiny bit.
The sentiment pieces were put together to create a sign which was propped up above the chicks.
The little bees were added to my card as the final finishing touch to create the sweet Easter scene!

You're Just Plane Wonderful!

Hello!  I have an all occasion card to share today over on the Scrapping Cottage blog. I used a die set from the new Springtime die release for my card.  The new dies are definitely perfect for those all occasion cards.

I used basic card stock to cut out the Fox in Airplane and the Clouds & Sun.  A bit of ink was used around the edges of the clouds for some dimension.
The background for my card was created with a cloud stencil and some Oxide Ink.  I spritzed the clouds with some water for a softer appearance.
Once my cloudy background dried, I adhered the airplane as the focal point of my card.
Next, I adhered the two smaller clouds amongst the cloudy sky leaving enough space for the larger cloud.
I stamped a sentiment on the largest cloud and affixed it in the empty space above the airplane.
This card will be fun for several occasions including a birthday celebration or congratulatory event.

It's Your Day to Bask in the Sun!

Hello!  Today I have a quick card to share over on the Scrapping Cottage blog for my design team post.  I'm using one of the die sets from the new Springtime die release.  This die release offers so many wonderful dies which are currently on sale.  Also, check out the St. Patrick's Day sale going on through tomorrow!

For today's post, I used the Gnome Sleeping in Hammock die set.  Using basic card stock for the die cut pieces, I followed the package design for my colors.  I changed the gnome's hat to a patterned design.
The ink blended card base is a background that I had created some time ago and ended up not using it for my project.  It seemed to be the perfect background for the sleepy little gnome.
The die cut scene was placed in the center of my card against the yellow portion of the ink blended background.  The yellow is a nice contrast against the die cut pieces.
I found a whimsical sentiment in my stash of stamps and added it to a coordinating strip of paper and adhered it at an angle in the corner of my card.
The edges of the sentiment tag were snipped off with some scissors using the card base as a guide.
This card came together very quickly and  will be a fun celebratory card for a birthday, Father's Day or other special occasion.

Oopsy Daisy. . . I'm Sorry I Forgot!

Hello!  Today I'm sharing a quick card over on the Scrapping Cottage blog. The die cuts on my card are from the new Springtime release.  This release definitely make me eager for Spring!

I used the Spring Flower Jar die sets to create my card.  Jar 1, Jar 2 and Jar 3 were cut out in white card stock and then masked off to shade the flowers, greenery and jars.

To create the background for my card, I used a brick stencil and some ink to shade the white card stock.  I also inked the edges of my card panel. Next, I splattered it with some black paint for a bit of interest.

A strip of card stock was inked up to coordinate with the background and adhered across the panel.  The largest flower jar was placed in the center of my card.
A second jar was adhered on the right side of my card using the strip of card stock as a guide for placement.
The final jar finished off my card.  The flowers added a pop of color to the subtle brick background.
The sentiment was stamped on a hand cut flag and affixed in the bottom right corner of my card.

Keep Calm and Make Tea!

Hello!  Today I have a whimsical card to share over on the Scrapping Cottage blog for my design team day. I created a fun tea party scene with the new Springtime die release!

The adorable critters are from the Spring Tea Party die set and were cut out of card stock and shaded with ink.  I also cut out the birch trees from white card stock.
I used a soft color palette for my background and ink blended the colors.  I fussy cut the hill for a bit of dimension.  The background was spritzed with water and splattered with a bit of paint.
The birch trees were cut apart for better placement on my card.  I shaded the birch tree pieces with ink.  The sentiment was heat embossed in white.
Next, I adhered the birch trees on each side ensuring the tops were aligned with the top edge of my card and the bottoms were tucked into the hills.
The sweet fox with her tea cup was nestled into the hill with a partial tree branch behind her.
The raccoon was placed on the opposite side with another birch tree branch stretched above.
For a finishing accent on my card, the tea kettle was adhered next to the embossed sentiment.

May your day Bloom with Happiness

Hello!  Today I'm sharing a slimline card over on the Scrapping Cottage blog.  I created a cheerful scene with several of the new Springtime die sets.  These dies are currently on sale too!

I lightly inked a stencil to create a subtle look of brick in the background.  Next I created the Spring themed scene by adding die cuts from the Cat in Spring Window and Spring Bicycle at the focal point of my card.  I had to do a bit of creative fussy cutting and ink shading to give the bike a unique look.  The Bunny Tree Cottage die set added the oversized tree, the partial tree branch, the grass and mushrooms to the scene.  The fence pieces are from the Picket Fence Border die set which were trimmed down to fit on each side of my card.
