Hello

Hello!  Today I have a card to share over on the Scrapping Cottage blog for my design team day.  I used the new Slimline dies for my card which were perfect for creating a springtime card to just say "hello"!

I cut the slimline card base in white card stock using the Scalloped Stitched Rectangle Slimline die set.  The Bird w/Bluebells and the Clouds and Sun were also cut out of white card stock and shaded with some Oxide Inks.  The sentiment was cut from the Stitched Alphabet set using some patterned paper.
I adhered some coordinating patterned paper on a slimline card base and layered the Scalloped Stitched Rectangle on top.  The "hello" sentiment was added in the bottom left hand corner.
The adorable bird and bluebells were placed next to the sentiment filling in some of the empty space.
Next, I affixed two of the clouds on each end of my card leaving enough space in the center for the 3rd cloud and sun.
The largest cloud was nestled amongst the others with the sun layered on top, finishing off my card.

Celebrate

Hello!  For my design team post over on the Scrapping Cottage blog I'm sharing a celebratory card which is perfect for a young child's birthday or even anyone who is just a kid at heart.  The new slimline dies were perfect for this fun card.

I used the Nested Stitched Rectangles Slimline dies for my card base pieces and just trimmed them to size. The other dies used on my card are the Circus Lion, the Celebrate Phrase, the Pierced Oval and Oval.
The first step in creating my card was to assemble the 3 pieces for the card background. The largest piece was adhered on a white card base with the other 2 pieces layered on top.

Next, the oval die cut was nested inside the pierced oval die cut and adhered in the center of my card.

The adorable circus lion was centered inside the double ovals as the focal point of my card.

The celebrate sentiment was affixed above the ovals on a curve for a whimsical appearance.

A Very Happy Birthday to You!

Hello!  Today I have a sweet card to share over on the Scrapping Cottage blog.  I'm showcasing several of the newly released Slimline dies which are currently on sale.

The die cuts for my card are from the: Windows Slimline, Clouds Slimline, Grass Slimline, Bunny Gnome 1, Bunny Gnome 2, and Bunny Gnome 3 die sets.  Even though the gnomes are an Easter die cut, simply eliminating their bunny ears makes them perfect for this birthday card.  All of the pieces were cut from white card stock and shaded with Oxide Inks for a soft appearance.

To create my card, I adhered the grass inside the window and trimmed off the ends a bit, ensuring a perfect fit.

Next, I affixed the clouds along the top edge of the window with the clouds peeking through. The slimline window was then adhered onto a white card base.
Each of the gnomes were nestled inside their own windows, making sure there was enough space for the birthday sentiment tag.

Blowing Wishes Your Way

Hello!  Today I have a sweet card to share over on the Scrapping Cottage blog for my design team day.  The bunny dies worked perfectly for this card which I plan to use for a friend's birthday!

Two of the die sets used on my card are from the Springtime die release; Bunny w/Butterfly and Bunnies in Pots.  I shaded the die cuts with some Oxide Inks for a soft appearance.  I also cut out a Nested Stitched Eyelet Rectangle.

I selected a patterned pink card base and cut out a rectangle with my paper trimmer and created a stenciled cloud background.  A whimsical sentiment was stamped on the rectangle.

The 2 card panels were layered for a perfect fit and then affixed to my card base.
Next, the adorable bunny was nestled inside the double rectangles.
The tiny bunny inside the pot was adhered in the empty space next to the larger bunny with the butterfly fluttering above.
